Came here after going to the space center. The cashier was very friendly. She informed us that there was no more steak, fajita chicken, and one other meats. but that didn’t stop us from ordering. We got nachos, the carne molida taco, the cadillac taco, and she scrounged up enough for a fajita chicken taco for me. We ate there, she brought the nachos out very quick for us to have something to munch on. I found the meat needed a bit of salt, but I think that’s because I didn’t eat it with the chili con queso(I’m lactose intolerant). My boyfriend who ate it all together loved it. The tacos were good, especially when you can put as much salsa and jalapeños from the condiment bar as you want. For the price, 10% off, and service, I would come again.

I love coming here. I bring my four year old and they always make something little for her. I like the street tacos. The breakfast is my daughters favorite. Cute place. Hope everyone tries it out.

So amazing. Love the breakfast tacos. Hubby had the chorizo con papa la Mexicana. Loved the fresh veggies and said the chorizo was great. We always love the hulk sauce. Hot, but great flavor. I had a custom bean and cheese taco with grilled potatoes– so yummy. Great staff. Dorthea is my breakfast angel! Is it wrong that I am already planning my lunch? Family owned and operated, this is a great place for casual and relaxed dinning experience.

After our last(6th visit) visit, I felt the need to write a review. Our first visit to Tacos My Way was amazing. I had called in right before they closed to ask questions, and the girl there(I can’t remember if her name was Amanda or Ashley) but she was super friendly and helpful. Great customer service. We ordered the Cadillac Tacos and the street tacos and while they aren’t the best we’ve eaten(they don’t marinate or really season their meat) the tacos were packed full and their queso was awesome. Their chips were great too. I enthusiastically said, we’ll be back! Their fountain machine has been down since that first visit several months ago. Ever since then, every time we’ve come in, we haven’t seen that younger woman again but the owner Crystal and her mother Dorothea. Crystal seems really nice and is trying to make the business work but Dorothea always has a frazzled, stressed out vibe. I don’t know if she’s worked in the customer service or food industry before but the service could use some tweaking. You can’t bring personal problems to work with you and project them on customers. For the past 4 times we’ve come in, they don’t have queso available. It’s almost a given that no queso will be there(during breakfast and brunch 10:30 Am-ish.) I used to work at a taco place and we’d start making the queso at 6 am to serve guests at 7 am. They don’t have a standard tomatillo salsa verde available, I have to usually ask for it. The tables are almost always dirty and not cleaned after each customer leaves. Their fountain machine has been broken for 2 months. Let’s talk about the food and the prices. On a decent day, the food is okay. On a bad day, the food is under portioned, skimpy and either one of the extremes, dry or greasy(usually erring on the side of dry and flavorless.) The prices are extremely overpriced for the lack of quality you get. Extremely. We walk out of there paying $ 25 for a tiny queso, two skimpy«Cadillac» tacos, street taco plate and two Mexican cokes and we’re like, it just wasn’t that good. The main reason why I’m writing this review is because of the last time we went in. I asked if queso was available, Dorothea answered yes, and we literally were served a block of American cheese in a cup. Nothing else just plain cheese you couldn’t even scoop because it was so thick. It was obvious what they had done. We’ve had their queso before and it’s usually pretty good(when they have it.) This time, we were served probably a few slices of American cheese melted in a cup. Continuity, customer service, cleanliness, and flavor are really important when it comes to a restaurant. I would strongly urge Crystal to change some things up for the survival and betterment of her business because I know her husband and Crystal want to make this restaurant thrive.

I had high hopes for this place but it fell short. The steak quesadilla and Cadillac burrito were just nasty. Ended up feeding it to the dogs, which at last check, they were still alive. I’d be surprised if this restaurant managed to stay in business for a whole year. It’s that bad.

This place is one of my favorites. They cook all the meats really well. Everything is fresh and hot and for the price you get so much. The food and service is great and I have become a regular because of that. They don’t cook potato’s quite right, and the street tacos are less than filling but if you don’t order them you won’t have any problems.

I ordered breakfast tacos from here for the first time and I’m extremely disheartened. $ 2.28 for a potato egg and cheese taco that looks like this! The tortilla was hard and the cheese wasn’t even melted. Disgusting! I won’t return here for anything that’s for sure.

This place is fantastic! The street tacos are so flavorful and fresh. This will become one of my regular dining choices in the area. Good stuff indeed!

Good tacos and excellent salsa bar, I especially like the«Hulk» sauce. The owner is super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I have to take a star away for a pretty bad breakfast. My chorizo with eggs came out cold as did my wife’s huevos rancheros. I think the cook needs a little bit more training. I’ll keep coming back.

I really wish I could give this place a higher rating but overall I was not impressed. The good points– The counter girl was friendly and helpful. My order was ready quickly. The salsas were homemade and pretty good. The bad– Dining area was dirty. Mostly ALL of the fountain drinks were out. The condiments bar needed a little maintenance. The little to-go condiments containers should be bigger(they are too small to hold jalapenos & limes). The food lacked flavor. My taco salad was overpowered by lettuce and they put the lettuce on top and everything else underneath so I couldn’t really see how much meat was on it. I like their concept and I hope this place thrives but I really doubt if I’ll return.

Small place not much in ambience but makes up in taste. Coming from the SF Bay Area we have some of the best authentic Mexican food around. Surprisingly, the tacos were tasty. Unfortunately, the day they never run out of fish was our loss. We had chicken, steak and pork which were good portions and all the fresh authentic toppings except for pickled carrots, jalapeños nor fresh sliced radishes. Skip the chips which were stale. She did give complimentary sour cream and cheese to make up for the chips. Owner also very friendly and checked up on us a few times. Don’t forget the 10% Unilocal check in offer.

My first vist here as a to go order, and I wasn’t very impressed. The chips were stale and cold, and the rice lacked flavor. It wasn’t «spanish» rice at all. The 4 steak street tacos were decent, but I had to flavor them with my own tajin seasoning. The meat in the tacos was dry, and there wasn’t much in there. The grilled onions and cilantro topped on it were good though. However, the toppings bar was completely empty. Not to mention, none of the drinks in their machines worked. Usually Unilocal has trustworthy reviews, so I’m not sure what the deal was, since it has great reviews. Overall the place was clean, but my food tasted below average. I might give it another try someonetime.

Great tasting carnitas street tacos and Mexican burger. Rice and beans are generic tasting. We are happy to find this place coz even though it is in our neighborhood, it is kind of hidden in a strip center. Will come back and try their other dishes(and they deliver too).

I will certainly be coming back! Friendly staff member(maybe owner) helped me through the menu. The prices were great and there was plenty of seating inside at 11:30am. The tacos were good and I appreciate that there’s a condiment bar to add your own toppings. I got one beef taco, one beef with potatoes, and one chicken. It was great to be able to order a la carte like that. Minor complaints was that the salsa was a tad too spicy for my baby mouth and that the potatoes lacked seasoning. The plain beef was better than the beef and potato. It will be interesting to see how this business evolves over time. Right now the food is not as good as La India Bonita, but the service and space are WAY better. I’m optimistic about their future.

What a great little place! We love mom and pop shops and this place didn’t disappoint. The gal behind the counter was friendly and quick with suggestions. We ordered queso and chips and 4 street tacos(2 chicken, 2 carnitas). The street tacos were so nom! Just what we were hoping for — the meat was perfectly seasoned. They also have this awesome condiment bar with jalapenos, salsa, lettuce, onion, cilantro — the works! Their salsas are homemade and the meats are cooked small-batch daily. I love the option to dress my own taco — yes please! The only downsides: queso — we spiced it up with the salsas at the condiment bar chips — some were a little stale — we mentioned it and she offered our money back, explaining that we got the last of the big batch the cook had made prior to cleaning out the fryer.

The food is great. But sometimes there’s more to a place than just the food. I might’ve stuck with four stars, but the extra star is because this is just the perfect little place in the perfect location. This is *exactly* what was needed in this area. A few of these little tacos at this low price make the perfect lunch or quick dinner. Also, that extra star is for the service. This is a family-run joint, and they couldn’t be more friendly and accommodating; it’s obvious that they’re putting their all into it. In general, a great place for breakfast tacos and street tacos!

I freaking love tacos! I live in San Antonio and could literally live off of street tacos as long as there is cilantro, fresh lime and my favorite green sauce. Steak, pork, fish, chicken, whatever. If it’s stuffed into a corn or flour tortilla, I’d probably eat it. As it happens, we came in on «Taco Tuesday» which means .50 $ off of the ground beef and fish tacos. Me, being the rebel I am, ordered two steak and one pork carnitas taco with a side of chips and queso. The steak was so tender, juicy and hot that I devoured the steak tacos immediately. I am always really hesitant about pork carnitas as they are always almost dry as a rug. These were moist and tender and made for an excellent taco stuffer. I LOVE the condiment bar. There were so many choices! Cilantro, green and red sauce, fresh onion, lime, pico de gallo and some other stuff that I didn’t get a chance to try. You can also order guacamole from the menu and add that as a nice topper to your tacos. I’ll be back when I’m in the Clear Lake area.

I saw this new place a few weeks ago so me and the hubs decided to come here for Saturday lunch. When we drove up, I noticed that they had a drive thru window but it wasn’t in use. I’m assuming that was from the previous owners. We walked in and there was one couple eating. There are enough seats for maybe 40 – 50 people. The menu is pretty simple. You decide what type of meat you want and what type of taco(crunchy, soft, flour, corn). They offer a combo for 2 sides and a drink. I got a fish taco, pork taco, queso, and chips. I also ordered a side of Spanish rice. My husband ordered the chicken torta. I got exactly what I ordered. Corn tortillas with my fish and with my pork. Looks pretty basic. Then you get to go to a toppings bar and dress it up. I was expecting some sort of sauce on the fish taco. …something. But it didn’t really matter. The fish was amazing! Cooked perfectly! Super flaky! The pork was just okay. A little on the dry side. …but the flavor was good. I really enjoyed the queso and chips. They made their own tortilla chips. Love that! You get to fill your own drinks. …free refills! We’ll definitely go back. The price was super reasonable! Wish they had a drive thru. They serve breakfast tacos too!

I want to start my review by saying that this place is really new, so they are still tweaking things, adding to the menu, and working out the kinks. And I really want them to succeed because I love to support small businesses! The hubs and I stopped in last night around 6 p.m. and were greeted by 2 friendly ladies(one I assume is the owner since she was talking about working on the menu, décor and other things). Apparently they had a rush earlier in the day that caused them to run out of carnitas and steak, which was ok with me(not hubs) since I was going to get the fish tacos. So I ordered the combo, which comes with your choice of 2 sides and a drink. I opted for queso and chips to accompany my 2 fish tacos, which are blackened tilapia. I was starving my butt off when I arrived, so I did devour a good bit of the chips and all of the queso. However, the chips were a little stale and they brought me so many that it would be enough for 2 people to share. The queso was pretty much what I expected, so I added pico and salsa to it to jazz it up a bit. I would definitely skip the queso and chips next time. The fish tacos were pretty tasty! The fish was nicely blackened so it had a good flavor to it! I think the thing they were missing, which all fish tacos have on top, was a little cabbage. True to what another reviewer stated, the condiment bar was really running low on items such as picked jalapeños and pico. But unlike what the reviewer stated, when we let the ladies know, they willingly brought more out. The condiment bar has green and red salsa(the green had more kick to it) which is made fresh daily and pretty yummy, as well as fresh & pickled jalapeños, pico de gallo(which needs some seasoning or salt or something because it was extremely bland), sour cream, cheese, lettuce, onions, etc. I also ordered a side of guacamole. It was fresh but again, a little bland(and I don’t use salt so for me to say that it and the pico were bland, is a definite fact). Overall, the meal was good, but like I indicated, I would skip the combo next time and just pay for a drink to accompany the fish tacos. Maybe they can work on seasoning the pico and the guac! I will go back in a week or so to give it another whirl!

Brand new, family-run taco restaurant is off to a great start. I tried the chicken fajita taco combo – and it was stellar! In a sea of ‘me-too’ Mexican joints, TMW does things differently. Their rice is cook different, and includes vegetables sprinkled in. The charro beans were fresh, not from a can. The chicken marinate has a sweet aftertaste – nothing bland here. Friendly staff, super clean eating area and restrooms. This is my new lunch hangout to go along with Neptune Subs. Their family deals are good price, too: feed a family of four for $ 16. Check em out this place is worth it.
