Office Depot

Had to get supplies to make professional case files. I’ve never been in this store so I instantly asked for help. The gentleman that help me was quite useful even though the store didn’t have everything I needed.
I compromised on a few items but the gentleman that worked there was available on call each time I needed something.
The young cashier lady was professional. Overall very good experience.

My one and only visit to this store was due to the Office Depot brand saying they were having a super sale on a bulk amount of printer paper that day that you could pick up in stores. Their online page said that this store had some left in stock. So I dropped what I was doing to run over here to pick it up since I was in the middle of exams for the quarter and conveniently had run out of both paper and ink cartridges printing out all sorts of fun things to read and study (well, actually with my $ 53 brand of ink cartridges I basically get three Sad Pepes to empathize with and maybe 100 sheets of course notes before the cartridge is drained.)
When I got there ten minutes later after checking the web page they are completely out of that deal at this store; which is not what it said online of course. Their next best deal is terrible (and limited to three packages of 500 sheets per package) but I am held hostage since I am out of paper, so I grudgingly accept the shittier paper that costs more than the better paper that was advertised for cheaper.
When I have more advance notice I just buy my ink cartridges online but that fell by the wayside this quarter with everything else going on over the past few weeks. It has been a while since I bought ink cartridges in person. But I very much dislike the system they have in place at this store — just like buying Sudafed at a pharmacy you need to go up to the cashier and tell them what you want, and they turn around behind the register and they pick it out for you. What to heck. I’m not buying cigarettes or the precursor to meth, why can’t a brother pick this up off of the shelves like pens and paper in the other aisles that customers are allowed to browse? This seems absurd and requires far more human interaction than I really want just to buy some gat dang ink.
Brick and mortar stores like this are not going to continue to exist in the near future when online retailers start getting their stuff to you same-​day without crazy upcharges.
The only thing they have going for them is that they are directly next to Luna Pizzeria so after Office Depot has finished pissing you off, you can go simmer down over a nice slice of pie next door.

This office depot is a bit odd in terms of what may seem as «natural» doorways. For example, the entrance is toward the inner side of the strip-​mall; for me, I assumed the entrance doorway would be super close to where I had parked. It’s okay because I got more steps for my fitbit.
The organization of the store seem a little less intuitive as well. For example, office supplies like shredders, staplers, packaging things are on the right side of the store. Contrary to my inclination, other office supplies like hanging files, folders, highlighters, etc are on the opposite side of the store.
I may have spent more time in this store than anticipated. I found almost all that I needed/​wanted, but I may look for another store the next time I need office supplies in a hurry.

I wondered in here while waiting to meet a friend for dinner. The store is large but feels empty. The prices seem high as compared to what you can get the same things online at Amazon for. I guess if you need to run in for a ream of paper or some office supplies it’s the place to go for the selection, but Wal-​mart would have them beat on prices any-​day.

It where I go to get most of my school supplies and project stuff. The people that work the cash register are suually pretty nice but for whaever reason the people that work on the floor usually aren’t that nice.
It’s normally a hit or miss when I go there. One time I go there I have three or four people, the next seems like everyone is running from me rather than wanting to help. The latter happening normally when I can’t find what I’m looking for.
This place is usually clean, stocked pretty well (out of what I’m looking for though). When I need school supplies and don’t want to drive far it’s the closest and easiest store to get to.
Get in, get what you need and leave.

Perhaps the most unsavory of Office Depots (exterior-​wise) I’ve ever been to and parking and getting in and out was annoying. But, once inside it’s your typical Office Depot.

Worst customer service ever + unorganized.
So I checked online for a samsung monitor and it clearly said that it was available in store stock. I drive 15 minutes to reach there, next there I know is it’s not available yet the manager was so rude and did not even apologize for what happened.

I place an order to print about 2,000 pages for my company before 2:00 pm, and I expected it to be done by the end of day (Thursday). However, when I got there at 7:00pm, the associate named Nelly said they didn’t find the email, and they hadn’t even started the job yet! She only pulled up the document that I emailed to the store only when I showed her a print copy of the email.
The worse thing is that they hung up on me when I called in the afternoon at about 1:00pm to check up on my order. They found my email and said it was not ready yet, but it would be by the end of the day. An here I stand, waiting for the associate to sort things out.
They said they couldn’t started the print job because I didn’t pay when I put in the order. HOWEVER, I did drop by the store on Sunday afternoon, and another associate said I could place the order and pay for it when I pick it up.
Another outrageous thing is that the online customer representative said I could pay for my order by telling my credit card number over the phone. When I got here, Nelly, the associate said I couldn’t read the credit card number over the phone due to security reason. That I understand, but it made everything much more inconvenient for me.
In the end, everything was such a hassle. If you need to print a large order, do it somewhere else.

In the main part of the store YOU have to seek out an employee wearing their red shirts.
Usually they are in pairs or groups talking.
Boo!
The copy, print and fax department gals are top notch and ALWAYS reliable.
Shame the rest of the staff isn’t the same caliber.

It’s 5:48pm. I’m the only person at the shipping counter, and have been since 5:32. I’m shipping 1 envelope to Ireland with UPS and the 2 idiots behind the shipping counter can’t figure out how to send a package. Oh look at that, it’s now 5:50pm and I’m still no closer to closing this deal.

Most unhelpful employees I have ever seen in my life. Do not even attempt to get one to help you because they are grossly incompetent. Multiple employees tried to «help me» with the copier, and ended up only getting in my way, making mistakes, and costing me more copies. On another occasion when I was over charged for something it took a good 10 minutes for someone to figure out how to give me my money back.

it has all what you need

Nothing really separates this from other OfficeDepo locations. I came in to buy some labeled paper for a school project. I was a little dishearten that even after walking around the store 3 times no one offered to help me even though they were all standing around talking to each other. However the check out staff was very friend and even pointed out that they were running a better deal if I wanted to save some money, so they defiantly get points for that.
Perfect for your back to school shopping!

It’s your run of the mill Office Depot. What I like about this location is the staff — they are incredibly helpful — even when you’re not quite sure what you’re looking for. I also appreciate the plentiful parking in this Upper Kirby location.

Right when I walked into the front door an employee asked me if I was looking for anything in particular, which in fact I was. Compounded with the fact that I was in a rush I went ahead and told him what I was looking for. The only problem was that right at the exact time I needed to communicate what I wanted I completely forgot what it was called. *Enter my horrible description of a magazine holder*
Even though my rambling gave no real clue as to what I was seeking, he was able to decipher what I meant and lead me straight to it. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. Without his help I can easily see how the trip could have turned into a 30 minute experience of wandering aimlessly around the store. Thanks Office Depot Guy!

I was finally getting my home office to the place where it needed to be for a productive work environment but realized i was lacking one essential item: a shredder. So I checked online and noticed that OD had a sale on ‘em, so i went there, got some help from Alex and some other nice people who told me about a few. I picked one and was good to go… 2 weeks later it started acting fussy with the pages it was supposed o shred, so i took it back for an exchange… no hassles, no worries. now i can shred away to my heart’s content, and just because i like the shred as much as i like to party, it makes great confetti too… but i ain’t cleanin’ up all that…

Think twice before you take your computer to Office Depot for technical help. We took ours, a Toshiba that we bought at the same store. Diagnosis and cleanup cost over $ 225. Came with a 30-​day guarantee. Then they talked us into buying McAfee, even though we were happy with AVG (which you download for free). Now we are paying another computer repair place $ 200+ to get rid of the 6 viruses that McAfee failed to catch. We won’t go back to Office Depot for anything computer-​related, and will think twice before buying paper clips there.

I have been trying to get my little computer ready for an upcoming final exit test I have for school. I have been abusing the heck out of it non– stop for the past two years. Everything is run down. I stopped at Office Depot the other day to get some advice and a new mouse. It was fairly early in the evening and there were maybe five customers in the whole store, fairly laid back, but I got iffy customer service. I love this store but helpful they weren’t. I asked about their service options on printers because mine has had a mystery jam in it for the last year or so and I really needed to get it running. The man at the service desk seemed pretty put out by being addressed. He pretty much told me to just get a new one, but I’ve only used it one before and for scanning in pictures so I knew it wasn’t broken. I figured they just didn’t do that type of service work there. When I went to ask about what type of mouse I needed for my desktop the guy practically sneered at me. So I still need a few more things just to make sure nothing stops or breaks down on me during my week long on-​line test. Walmart seems to be the only place in town to get a Dell print cartridge without waiting a week for it to come by mail. Out of sheer frustration after the incident I managed to clear the paper jam.

These folks are quite helpful. I didn’t know the type of printer cartridge that my printer needed and it wasn’t in their computer look-​up. One of the employees took the time to look into it for me and showed me where it could be found. Result: working printer! I also got a large dry-​erase board from them for cheaper than anywhere else I could find a comparable board– even online!
