I purchased a package and went in for the first time a couple of months ago. I was a little late because I didn’t realize their building is directly behind another that faces Bissonnet. It may have a Bissonnet address but the location is really accessed on the side street, Woodfair. I was glad to hear that my tech didn’t have another client for an hour so I would get my full 30 min. treatment. It’s sparse but it’s a wellness studio, not a full-blown beauty spa. Actually, I prefer the minimalist look — clean, not cluttered. The lighting was dimmed which gave it a calm atmosphere. There were mugs lined up on the coffee table so I drank water in prep to relax for my reflexology on hands and feet. The tech, Mauie, said she was a newbie so I cut her some slack, knowing she’ll get better in time. I made a mental note to ask her in the next session to lengthen the massaging strokes and I would be fine with it. I was back a few days later for a facial with Mauie. She’s greeted me both times with a pleasant Kim Kardashian kind of smile. In fact she sort of looks like her. When I asked which type of facial I should get(chocolate, green tea or coffee bean), she recommended the chocolate, saying that with the cold, drying weather, it would give me the most moisture. There was soothing music both visits and the dim lighting was very relaxing for me. The warm chocolate smelled delicious! When I asked if any clients have tried to lick some, she said they’ve been warned that though it also has honey in it it isn’t sweet! While it set for 5 mins. I took a photo of my scary face and sent it to my son! Kim, I mean Mauie, was gentle and explained which serum did what whenever I asked. Next week I’m thinking of getting the infrared body wrap. I’ve been reminded to wear comfortable clothes and to bring an extra set to change into afterwards. I realize everyone has had varying experiences with Body Bliss, but I’ve been to Urban Retreat and a couple of places in Sugar Land. Yes, you can change into a robe and slippers and sip wine with a light lunch in an atmosphere drenched in pampered luxury, but that also comes with a premium price tag. I paid $ 60 for 30 treatments here. I am thrilled to be able to have 30 mins. to 1 hr. of calm, relaxing peace as I’m being pampered and to know I only paid $ 2 above a generous tip! And I wasn’t coerced into tipping. A sign prominently displayed on the entry coffee table reads something to the effect that gratuities are appreciated but it’s the client’s prerogative to do so. These days, many of us do what we can to find a little time for ourselves and not break the bank. My attitude is to enjoy the moments of simple pleasures and to thank God I’m in the position to!

Went back to this place again after getting a voucher and I still can not understand the complaints. You people are ridiculous. You get an awsome deal in which u are literally paying next to nothing for this deal. This time I did the foot rub, it was great, I had tea while I waited and listened to some nice slow music. Get it together people, don’t buy vouchers if all you will do is complain. And to the lady that challenges everyone… I saw the license… The owner is a registered nurse, all you had to do is ask but it is visible and I think you are confused because this is no salon… not even sure if its a spa honestly but I like this little place

I found this place with a coupon and I must say that the woman performing the«spa» treatments is very sweet and is trying to be professional. But if you are a person who frequents spas… this is no spa. The place is in a largely empty office building, and there is no running water in their office. The waiting area is comfortable enough, soft lighting and music. The treatment room is an office, with a massage table and an armchair, with a metal clothes rack for robes. The«sudatonic wrap» they offer is nothing more than laying on a table with a heating pad device velcro’d to your body to make you sweat for 30 minutes. And they want to charge $ 49 for this? One word comes to mind… ripoff. When she took my measurements before the wrap, she did it haphazardly and then when it was thankfully over, she pulled the measuring tape tight so it would appear that I «lost» weight… really? Also, while I was wrapped up in this thing, my thigh was being burned in one spot. I kept waiting for her to come in, but she didn’t check on me the entire 30 min. I had a small blister on my thigh where I suppose part of the electric wiring was exposed? beware folks. I am not sure this very nice lady is qualified to do this stuff in the first place. I really don’t understand the«Organic» title. Honestly she held a small bottle of essential oils under my nose and told me to sniff… seriously. I would imagine the training to work in this place consisted of a weekend workshop, and purchasing a few«spa» items from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I think the owner needs to visit a real spa and have some services done to understand how it’s done. To add insult to injury, she wanted a tip after she ignored me for 30 min and burned my leg. I tipped her out of sympathy… cuz this place ain’t gonna last long before the Health Dept or some other govt agency has a look.

I completely agree with Mary. Quiet place with great staff! The personalized guest experience is awesome. they do offer the wine and water which is awesome. Definitely the con is the location… BUT the services and staff definitely made up for the location.
