The noodles are different than what I had in different branches around the states. these are bigger and greecier. and they were out of the hot sauce they didn’t put enough shrimp but in general it was ok

Kinda disappointing, actually. Only average food(they are ALWAYS out of something!) and the service is so slow that if you’re not starving before you complete your journey through the ordering/buying process, you will be by the time you finally sit down to eat! DON’T take their word that they’ll bring you more of your selected entrée if they run out while filling your order(this has happened, by the way, on THREE of the last THREE visits to this location) because they conveniently«forget» to ever actually follow through and bring you what they promise! Love Panda Express, but this location really leaves a lot of room for improvement!

The worst place ever! Ana the drive thur girl told me because the kitchen closed at 845 pm I could not get my food fresh because they closed at 930. I asked for the manager to express my obvious health concerns dealing with old food. I will be calling the corporate office and the health inspecter.

I noticed a lot of reviewers complained about getting served fresh food. While it is frustrating they would give you«old» food, I wonder how many people asked for something to be made fresh. Panda Express focuses on fresh ingredients quite a bit. I’ve been before when some of the entrees look a little heat-lamp over-cooked and I simply ask for a fresh entrée… and surprise, surprise — they make it for me! :-) The hot and sour soup is my absolute favorite! Those big chunks of mushrooms are so yummy! I usually add a side of veggie spring rolls and for fast food, this is semi-healthy. I also recently tried the kale, shiitake mushroom and chicken entrée and I was also flavorful. I think it’s under 250 calories as well. The employees are always nice and welcoming and the fact that they are accommodating with preparing fresh food is also a great benefit.

Really overpriced and low quality. Only giving 3 stars because it’s a chain and the staff is not awful, so I want to give them some slack. You should check out Pan Express in the shopping center right across! They cost less and are really delicious! Best in the area actually! And yes, I said Pan Express! Panda Express is not fresh or even worth half what they charge. Crispy lo mien noodles and food that tastes like it’s been microwaved 2 or 3 times is not worth $ 10 a person.

I like when restaurant is busy because fresh food selections are being served, it’s okay for me, its fast food of course so my expectations aren’t unreasonably high, loving the steamed brown and white rice, of course and some broccoli.

I think the food here is hit or miss depending on how long it has been sitting on the warming table under the heat lamps. Last time, I got fried rice and an egg roll, both freshly made. It was a good lunch and both had good flavor. Got same thing today, but both were sitting under heat lamps. No flavor to rice at all and there were crunchy pieces of rice! Egg roll was okay(not as good as the freshly cooked one last time). Hit or miss equals no better than two stars.

Never again. The noodles were the worst. I got a «Scoop» of broccoli and beef, but there was no beef at all! Horrible service. Just bad experience here.

So so food. Could have done without the Chinese worker yelling WELCOMETOPANDA for every person coming in the door.

This is for the one on Hollister near 290. Awesome grand opening. Awesome food. Clean. Yummy. The Golden Treasure Shrimp was the only thing not worth the calories and acne… take it off the menu it was so very greasy I coudn’t taste the shrimp. Other than that you rock Panda Express. Oh and look at the back of your receipt you get a free entrée when you call in a survey. Woot.

One of the motto’s I live by is, «you get what you pay for.» I know Panda Express claims to be gourmet chinese. Now lets be real here. *Bill Maher voice* Really, you were crazy enough to believe that. I have some swamp land in Florida you can buy. Before this visit, 2003 was the last time I ate at a Panda Express. I do remember the food to being a better quality. Only reason I visited this time was because of my BOGO coupon. I ordered the orange chicken and beef n broccoli. I looked at the warming plates and noticed it looked old. I kindly asked if they could cook some fresh food. They kindly obliged. Make sure they give you your food before they mix it with the old. My food came out hot and fresh. Just the way I like it. I came in expecting below average chinese fare. I can honestly say it was average on this visit. I have eaten worst, and at so called excellent restaurants at that. *cough* CCF Still not a place I would go often. Houston has too many wonderful Asian themed restaurants that give you more bang for you bucks. Panda Express focus is definitely on expansion at this moment. They are more into the real estate business then anything. For that I give them the extra mic(star)

This place needs a disclaimer; the kind of disclaimer you hear on the radio after an advertisement with all the limitations and conditions of the offer. You see… Panda Express claims it sells«gourmet Chinese» food. And after dining at this chain. I have concluded their whole position as «gourmet chinese» is false advertising. Since this chain’s growth shows no signs of slowing down, I have already written the limitations section of their future radio ads. *ahem* Side effects of consuming food from Panda Express might include: loss of tastebuds, regret of entrée choice, and lack of appetite. Please talk to a Unilocaler if you are concerned for the well being of a Panda Express consumer or if the conditions above worsen. In people 18 years old and older, Panda Express has been shown to cause people to book a flight to China in clinical trials. Now is the time to start Unilocaling for good Chinese eats in Houston. A traditional Chinese chef would lower his head in shame at the sight of Panda Express’ signature dish— orange chicken. Not only is it not-made-to-order; it basks under the heat lamp for untold periods of time. All that basking takes its toll on both the meat and the sauce, producing some of the driest morsels of battered chicken. Perhaps they should attempt to earn a Guiness World Record for this accomplishment. Nothing goes to waste at Panda Express. Itty bitty pieces that are ½” or smaller aren’t thrown out. No sirree. Pieces that make popcorn chicken look bite size. The proportion of breading to chicken is about 60:40. I have had better food at Chinese buffets than the food Panda Bear is dishing up. The eggroll I had was almost inedible. It’s like they took out the salt from the pantry, measured the salt needed for the recipe, set it aside, then poured the salt remaining int the container into the recipe. They should draw inspiration from Ying Yang – their eggroll ingredients are not in culinary harmony. Service at this location, at this time, on this day was so so. With all the cooking out of the way, the chef was playing a game of spin the spatula, while the hostess was exchanging words with another employee. This is fast food in gourmet clothing, and it shows. With it’s so so service and mediocre food, this is the type of place that helps earn chains their meh reputation. I thought I ordered orange chicken, what I recieved was the Meh Meal. It disappoints me to know they are sprucing up left and right. The focus of this company has been expansion not flavor or freshness.
