Whoever posted 2 – 3 hours was pretty damn close. Been over an hour and they are saying they need more time. I live less than a mile from them. Debating on cancelling or changing it to carry out and driving there with my injured leg and all.

The food is good, but don’t wait until you’re hungry to order. Easily 1 – 2 hour wait every time!

I am new to working in the area. I read the reviews and tried WanFu because of so many good things people said. Boy, was I disappointed. The food is horrible. I had the egg drop soup, which was incredibly greasy and the chicken cashew lunch special. The chicken was unrecognizable. It looked and tasted as little pieces of fat. The staff are great — very friendly and service oriented.

Drove all the way from Dallas to Houston and got there pretty late at night around 9:00. We were very hungry, which was understandable. We Unilocaled to see if there was a decent restaurant near our hotel in the Galleria area. Nothing fancy. We decided to try a nearby Chinese restaurant. We just wanted to get something quick since it already passed our regular dinner time. We got there and quickly ordered a couple of dishes: beef and mixed vegetables and mapo tofu. We also added a mixed vegetable soup, which came very quickly. The soup looked plain, but was tasty. Since it was a vegetable soup, we didn’t expect it to be too rich or strong. I could taste a hint of Chinese mushroom flavor in the soup base. The vegetables(zucchini, green peas, broccoli, mushrooms, etc) in the soup were quite fresh though. The fried noodles that came with the soup were crunchy. See the picture I took. The main dishes came soon after the soup. They looked quite pleasing to the eye. The mapo tufo was very delicious. It was not too spicy, but a bit on the salty and sweet side. We eat very spicy food, so it may be spicy enough for most of you :) The beef and vegetables dish was great. The meat was well-seasoned and tender. The green bell pepper and union made the dish looked so appetizing. The portion was quite generous. We felt very very full after all the food was consumed. I have to say the waitress was very friendly and attentive. We did have a good conversation about Houston in general since we hadn’t been to this city for a long time. It was so late, so we were the only two souls in the restaurant. And we got all her attention! Overall, we enjoyed the food and the dining experience. If we’re in the same area again, we’ll probably come and try something else.

I actually have plenty of Good things to say about this place for being a first timer. Let me start by my lunch special, the wonton soup is delish that broth is amazing. I ordered the Kung pao chicken and OMG it was spicy and to my liking. The taste of real food. Also the dumpling are absolutely delicious. It was my first time ordering jasmine tea and I fell in love!!. I will definantly be coming back for more.

The food was good, service was quick, employees were nice. I have other favorites in the area but for Chinese food it makes the top of the list.

Ordered house lo mien and jalapeño shrimp. It was actually pretty decent flavor and portion of the food was a good size, egg drop soup was 3/10, not much flavor. Passion fruit slush with tapioca was good from what my boyfriend stated. I ordered black tea with lychee and it was decent. Ordering and delivery time was at a good rate, it didn’t take long for them to deliver it. I would order again for a night in if you’re not up for driving.

This place is amazing! I was staying at the Crowne Plaza, visiting from LA, and I decided to get an order delivered from here. The food was delicious. And it was so easy to order. So many good selections to order from. I would definitely order from this place if I do return. There weren’t many places that deliver around here but I’m glad this place does. Keep up the good work!

Delivery. Fast and fresh. Orange chicken and house lo mein were great! Make sure to specify what condiments and how many you you’d like. We were missing some and didn’t have enough to. Otherwise great!

Ordered delivery for work thru Unilocal. The process was quick and easy didn’t have any orders messed up or the lady not understanding. The food arrived in 45mins. During prime lunch hour that is great time in my book. I ordered jalapeño chicken, orange chicken, beef and broccoli and general tso. My Co workers all enjoyed there. Eat and had no complaints. But I am the reviewer and will break it down for you guys. The service over the phone checking for status was easy and the lady was very nice and polite hard to come by for a Chinese place. I had the jalapeño chicken which was very tasty and had tons of veggies and not so many chicken pieces. overall this place gets a 3.5 nothing less but since there isn’t any halves we will round up. Will for sure give this place another go. Steam rice didn’t taste like it was made the previous day when it’s all clustered. Hot and sour soup sucked but that’s OK. The good tasty entrée made up for all the other subpar sides.

I didn’t believe one of the reviews when she said it took over an hour. I also placed my order through eat24, because they’ve been reliable in the past delivering to my home. I ordered my food around 12:10pm today!(11/17/2015) and I am still waiting for my food. I called the restaurant at 1:22pm because they had an estimated time of 30 – 60 minutes for delivery. When the lady answered I told her it has been over an hour and I still haven’t received my food. She said that they«just» received my order online 40 minutes ago and they just started cooking my food. Of course I was angry, but I still needed to eat lunch so I told them to hurry. So it’s 1:42pm and I’m still without my food and tweeting eat24 and talking to eat24 customer service. I’m sure this is more the restaurant’s fault than eat24. ***UPDATE: It’s now 1:59pm and I just received my food. The driver was completely clueless to the situation. I hope the food is decent. Eat24 gave a full refund.

Just order from Wanfu Café based on the great reviews we saw, however it did not meet expectations. We ordered very simple dishes: Beef Lo Mein(Extra Extra Spicy), Mongolian Beef(Extra Extra Spicy), and Fried Chicken Dumpling. The Lo Mein was nothing to rave about and was not spicy as we had requested, the only good thing about the Lo Mein was that it was not oily, so good job on that. The Mongolian Beef tasted like it came out of the microwave and although I had asked for it to be spicy it was not! It did however contain copious amounts of onions which was 2⁄3 of the container(yes I did separate it and measure). The Dumplings were not bad, they actually tasted like they were made in house and were fresh, Great job! In short its 5 min from the house and is a last place I would stop. I would go back for Dumplings and that’s about it. Everything else taste like it came out of a can or box.

Exactly what a Chinese food restaurant should be. I especially like the beef & broccoli and the lo mien.

It’s good, but they don’t have pork items, which takes away some of the best dishes you can get. A few of the specialties are also no longer available, like the beef shirt ribs.

I like this place, it’s easy quick and good take out food when I’m in a hurry. I had the fried tofu with veggies and egg drop soup. They didn’t include the fried wontons with the soup.

I placed an order through Eat24 to have it delivered to my office. After an hour goes by, we still have not received our food. I called to check the status and the young man tells me they are super busy because there’s only 1 delivery driver. The other delivery driver blew his tire. Okay, I’ll try to be understanding to that. So I say if my food has been just sitting there, it will not be fresh. He proceeds to tell me they haven’t even cooked it yet! I placed that order over an hour ago! I get upset and all he says is, «we’re cooking it now.» HORRIBLE. NEVERAGAIN. which sucks, because I actually like their sweet and sour shrimp. I canceled the order and got a refund.

Super salty, greasy Chinese. I loved in China and an a fan of holes in the wall, but this one was a big disappointment. The only bright spot is cheap lynch specials that come with lots of food.

I don’t think I can ever have egg drop soup without the crunchy noodles again. That was the first time I ever tried the soup with them and the combination tasted so good. I also order the General Tsao’s chicken with steamed rice and it came out relatively quickly. The wait service was friendly. Good place to go for lunch.

Just got back from my first time here, and I was very impressed. I was seated quick, and got my order in. I will say the offerings are pretty typical for a Chinese joint, but the quality was a big plus! I have found hot and sour soup to be a losing bet at most places, but here it was really excellent. The general Tao’s was of better quality too. Not a fan of Jalapenos in my Chinese food, but I did ask for extra spicy. This place isn’t the closest to my office, but it’s new go to for sure!
