Wow, the place is great. I had been looking for a good place to get quality tea, and I tried Tea Bar and Organics Fusion, but they don’t come close to this place.(See my review of them if interested) The Path of Tea is elegantly decorated and plays soothing Chinese classical music(at least I think that’s what it is — you know with the flute and koto, etc.) They have over 100 teas all organic as far as I know. So far I’ve been there once — writing this as I sip on their number 27 green tea — more on that later. It’s a very quiet somewhat intimate setting equally suitable to sit and read, study, or to go on a date at. I got the #27 organic green tea known as Kukicha. It was delicious, and for around 5 bucks, you can get a nice tea pot to last for a while. The Path of Tea also has a tea smelling bar in which you can see — and smell — each and every tea they carry before you buy it. There are a couple sweets they sell at the counter which I have not yet tried. A final note: they can apparently make any tea iced in addition to hot. I WILL be back!

A tranquil place, great people working(and going) here. A large selection of teas. Awesome teapots too! A very enjoyable experience. It’s a small place, so I was almost tempted to keep this a secret :) But the word is out now — hope you’ll enjoy it s much as I did.

Lovely little tea shoppe located in a nice neighborhood. I had been wanting to try this place for awhile and decided to visit after a nice afternoon at Trader Joe’s. My twin sister and I are big tea connoisseurs. We have so many types of tea at home and were delighted to see a great selection at Path of Tea. We wanted something without caffeine, so we decided on the ‘yummy bear tea’. Opted for the mini hazelnut and chocolate cake as well. It didn’t take too long for our tea to arrive and it was fresh and piping hot. I enjoyed the taste of the ‘yummy bear tea’, it was fruity yet floral as well. The mini cake paired nicely with the tea. It’s a nice and small little shop, a few people were hanging out with friends and a few others were working on their laptop. They have a lovely display of tea mugs. You get to choose the mug in which you sip and savor your tea. I liked this idea. They have a few products for purchase here as well. I definitely see myself coming back and enjoying a variety of other tea’s next time around! Check it out.

I’ve gone to this place twice and can’t wait to be back! I recently bought a groupon for a class and it was the best $ 19 dollars i’ve ever spent. Not only did we get a 2 hour course about tea history, health benefits, etc. we also got a free bag of tea! I love the atmosphere this place has… It’s so peaceful and it just makes my heart happy :). Kate, the girl Who works in the front, is so charming and knowledgable which is awesome for beginners like me :). Love this place!

Very cute little place for tea! And they have over hundred kinds of tea for you to choose. The gentleman and the lady who worked there are very kind and helpful in choosing your tea. And also you can choose what tea cup to use, they are all different!

Came here with a groupon for a tea tasting. Enjoyed most of the teas and really liked the snacks! 4 stars instead of 5, because they don’t give you new cups, so you have to dump out the previous tea if you hadn’t finished it. I felt that it disrupted the fluidity of the entire tasting.

Tea lovers, unite! …but not so fast and not all at the same time bc this place is crazy small and it gets filled pretty quickly with people sipping their teas slowly. Which is really how it should be done. It’s a nice place to catch up and talk. You come in, there’s a counter filled with 110+ kinds of tea. There’s a laminated menu, and your nose gets the tea-high of your life as you open the canisters up. You can take your tea to go(one size only) or if you decide to stay, between a small pot or a large one. If you do decide to stay, you get to choose a tea cup of your own from the many cute collections that they have. They have small treats and tea sets they sell. The small tea infuser pots are sold for about $ 37. Ps. CRAZYHARDPARKING. GOODLUCKWITHTHAT. :|

I Had a blast experience at this place. He old lady was very helpful and friendly to help us out. The place is awesome and you could presume that you re in a world if tea when seeing how many type if teas they have. The server let us pick our own tea cup design and people«Dont touch the tea cup otherwise you re wanting that». I was confronted and have to pick the one i touched. YEPPP. overall all you will like it there! We tried the #1 on list which is the Acai Blue… and it was extraordinary tasting. Pricing options is between 2 types if teapot: small is 4 and large is 6 and i forgot the left over cents.

Finally went here after«bookmarking» this place for what seems like forever! Great little tea shop with many many tea options! You first start by picking which tea to try, they have a counter with the tea listed and then the numbers corresponding to the tea in little metal jars for u to smell and decide. After that you decide weather you want a small or large and they will make it for you. Next, you on to the side and pick out your tea cup. They have many cups for you to choose from big to small tea cups; each tea cup is different and cute. Then you just wait for the tea and enjoy! I got a small when I went and that was around $ 5 give or take some change. A small was good enough to share for two.

This tea shop is the best! Page is super awesome, gives fantastic recommendations. Always friendly and helpful with all my questions. I would highly recommend this tea shop. I hear she also holds tea workshops on wed! The wifi is fantastic and they have plugs for your computer. Very comfortable feeling. Tea is fantastic and you get so much! They also have snacks and tasty bits.

Lovely little teashop. From outside it doesn’t look like much, just a sign in yet another strip mall. But once you walk in, it’s a little city oasis. Came here first for the tea tasting class with Groupon. They were so attentive and the teas they had picked out were very good. I’ve come back a few timea afterwards and enjoyed it each time. Free wifi and few small tables make it ideal for couple hours of quiet work.

This is an exceptional little gem in the Upper Kirby area. I’d go as far as to call it one of Houston’s best kept secrets. Unlike other teahouses in the area, they’re not dedicated to cool bubble tea but hot tea and special blends. They are stocked with over a hundred different types of tea in all kinds of varieties. You can sample a small pot or enjoy a big pot of whatever you want, and the managers are very knowledgeable about the product. The environment is very calming, with balanced lighting and a very calming zen music playing throughout the small space. It’s usually pretty sparse, but even at peak hours it’s relatively quiet. This is an excellent alternative for a date location as opposed to a trendy coffee shop. They do tea tasting classes on certain nights and even organize a tea blending competition once a year. I’ve heard that you can also organize special tea classes if you want.

Houston tea-lovers rejoice! I finally found it, the tea-Mecca in Houston. I used to have to travel far and wide for a variety of loose-leaf teas for sipping and purchase. A Japanese-inspired venue with meditation music and rice paper window screens. Seven two-person tables and two 4-tops inside and several 2-tops outside with simple, comfortable chairs. They have over 100 teas. They have a «sniffing bar» with all their teas to sniff before you buy. The folks here are helpful and knowledgeable about the teas they sell. They have a small selection of baked goodies but their focus is on tea.(There is a tasty vegan restaurant next door if you’re peckish). They also have artsy tea pots for sale. Oh wonderful tea room, when can I visit again?

I really wanted to like this place. Are my standards of tea too different? Alas, I’d give this place another chance if I went with friends. AMBIENCE Quaint, small, and tidy, with pieces by local artists up for sale on the walls. Different assortment of origami hang from the ceiling, and don’t forget the sample bar where you can sniff out your tea of choice! After you finally make a selection from an assortment of countless types of green, white, herbal, black, etc., you pick out a teacup of your liking from a shelf next to the register. Perhaps it was just my timing, but it was noisy! Totally killed the atmosphere of the shop. I’ve been to teashops where the tabled are all filled but the noise level is acceptable; unfortunately, Path of Tea did not fit into that category. TEA I settled on a Cloud and Mist green tea that had a nice natural sweetness but no aroma. Not quite strong enough either, so my search for a strong Asian tea seller located in a non-Asian shopping center continues. SERVICE My feeling that I arrived on an off day continued with the service. One older lady behind the counter genuinely looked unhappy with me. No smiles. Did I do something wrong? I felt like apologizing but didn’t have a reason. Fortunately, the other younger lady was polite and accomodating. She brought out my tea to me after I found a place to sit. Overall, I feel like my first encounter with PoT wasn’t the best — noise level was a bit unacceptable — but I might be up for a second chance.

I’m a bit of a tea snob and also not one to like to spend a lot of money on my habit so surprisingly, this place fits the bill. Pots are reasonably priced and last you for a while. They have done a nice job of differentiating themselves from the other famous house of tea and whereas the other one is more of a coffee shop of tea houses, this place is more like a wine bar of tea-houses — that is it’s relaxed, quaint, and calm experience. And again, the best part is, you don’t go home smelling like coffee. Even as a tea snob however, I do like my chai lattes full of milk and sugar and other non traditional teas so I do wish they had that sort of stuff on the menu(unless it’s there and I didn’t see it). Overall though, its a great place to meet someone over tea.

I love this tea house! It is very quiet and«zen”-a great place to get work done as they have free wifi. When you walk in you’re met with over 100 organic teas that you can smell and look at before making your selection. They make your tea fresh and put it in a pot that hangs over a tea light. If you love your tea, you can purchase it in bulk. There’s a tea for everyone here. My favorite thing about The Path of Tea, though, is the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Everyone here seems to love what they’re doing and they’re always ready for a quiet conversation. The owner is especially spectacular! He’s there on a daily basis and you can tell that he loves his customers and respects the tea.

Loved this place. I did the groupon for the tea tasting class, and it actually went LONGER with MORETASTINGS than the coupon stated! you will get little tea cookies/cakes, and lots of different teas to try. The quality of tea they have is very high, and they are very knowledgeable and great at brewing whatever tea you get. The owner/manager are fantastic and will help you choose the best tea you want. The dining room is very peaceful with soothing music and a cool decorations, but it is small. However, I don’t think it gets too crowded to find a table. You can enjoy freshly brewed tea here, or buy dry tea to take home. There is parking available in the outlet parking lot, but if it fills up there is some street parking in the neighborhood behind it.

The atmosphere inside is really quiet and relaxing. It’s almost like walking into a spa because of the trickling water noise from the small water fountain and the absence of music. Perfect place to sip a cup of freshly brewed hot tea of your choice. With plenty of small tables and little distraction, I don’t see why this place wouldn’t be perfect to read a book, study, or just calm the nerves. They have over 130 different varieties of teas to choose from and they allow you to smell the tea before committing. I like how many of the choices are organic. You can either buy the tea leaves by the ounce or you can order a small or large tea pot of it and drink it there. We ordered a small pot and found it the perfect size for two people. One small pot yields 2.0−2.5 serving portions for each person. The sales rep was very friendly and knowledgeable about their teas. He spoke in a very calming tone which made me want to speak in a calming tone haha.
