Poor service… Food is bad… Bring me the soup left over from yesterday. Never want to go back to this place again.

Not my favorite, I didn’t think the staff was very attentive– I’ve had better phở and spring rolls. Not for me.

Every thing is excellent here. My favorite is Bo Luc Lac which is beef cubed with onions, garlic, bell peppers, lettuce, with a light brown sauce on top. My second favorite is house special fried rice. The menu is crazy with the amount of different dishes you can order. It’s worth trying if you’re in the area.

I know it’s hard to justify a 5 star rating to a simple kind of restaurant, but I think it’s well deserved. Phở Dalat not only has a HUGE menu, but the food is always amazing and never disappoints! The Phở is one of the better phở’s in Houston, which I would say closely follows my personal favorite– Phở Dien. Rice plates are actually very easy to mess up in Vietnamese restaurants, and theirs are always perfectly done. Though the best and must try item that only a few other restaurants in Houston(two that I think of) actually serve is BOTAICHANH(rare beef salad). SOOO amazing, and soooo good. This is a very hard dish to find, and Phở Dalat is the best at it. I have friends from Sugarland drive up just for this. The beef is truly rare and cooked through a lime marinade, and the vegetables are perfectly pickled. This is an odd location for a Viet restaurant, but definitely the best spot hitter when it comes to Vietnamese food.

The services here is terrible!!! The food was horrible. Me and my co workers comes here to have lunch, both of them ordered the lemon grass chicken and it was very slimy so they both end up just eating the white rice. I had the beef and the meat was very very dry. Once we were done we have to go to the front and pay, the lady ask us what table we say in. They don’t seems to have a good system and when we were paying the lady was like oh cash unless is 10 dollars but my meal was $ 9 something and I was going to give them tips which will be well over 10 dollars. And my co worker said sorry this is the first time we ate here and she said«well now you know next time when u come back» that’s just terrible customer services!!!

I love this place!!! The service it really fast when I order after work. I haven’t even branched out to other dishes other than the phở since it’s so good! It’s so good it’s ruined the phở place for me in my home town, lol!

If you’re looking for a veggie meal, get #199!(Fried tofu tossed with lemongrass, chili&onions) It comes with a side of white rice and the portion can feed up to 2 – 3 people, which is good for being under $ 10. I have tried to order it at other viet restaurants but none come close. I have never dined here, usually just order take out since it’s close to home.

I am going to keep it short and simple. I like food so I will wait for it patiently if it is worth the wait. Strike 1: This place, however, made me and my friend wait for the food for 35 minutes and did not even give us the silverware when my friend who couldn’t use chopsticks had asked for a fork right after we placed the order. Strike 2: We ordered the salad rolls and I was not expecting there to be chicken and eggs in there. Fortunately, I had mine first so I warned my friend who is a vegan not to have any! Strike 3: The waiter was nowhere to be found. They were severely understaffed. This one lady who was serving the food kept appearing out of the kitchen carrying a tray and looked very excited about the food. I think this place has a lot of potential. I know for a fact that this place used to be very good because I used to come here for lunch with my ex-co-worker but for some reason we stopped going there. And then I remembered it was because they took forever to bring the food out. This time I got the chicken vermicelli. It was decent. A very generous portion. I would recommend that they cut back a little on the onions.

Get their vietnamese salad which is #6 on the menu. So delicious. Takes me back to wonderful memories. It’s considered an appetizer and pricey $ 15.99 but it’s quite large so make sure you have a few people to share with. I ordered #96– rice, bbq pork, fried egg, pork shreds, etc. Tasty.

If you are driving from Houston to Austin and have a growl from your stomach for Vietnamese food, do not deprive yourself of this location! I stumbled upon this location because I happened to be around 290 today with the gf and she wanted asian food. It’s hidden in the back of the shopping area that I never would volunteer to go to… but I am so glad I did! I ordered the soda chanh muoi and it is so GOOD! I had to get a nice rice plate so I ordered the com thit nuong with bi and chung. One word: Awesome! My gf ordered the beef version and it was excellent as well, but not as good as mine. ;) Summary: Authentic Vietnamese, really delicious food, hole in the wall place. Come!

Delicious! I took my boyfriend here because he had never gotte Phở before, and he LOVED it! I lived in Singapore for almost 2 years and it was as close to that as I’d ever had. He got the beef flank(towards the top of the beef section on the menu) and I got the white meat chicken with glass noodles(31 or 32) and they were amazing. Very large sizes. We also ordered the spring rolls and they were the best I have ever had. The ONLY reason I’m giving this place 4 stars and not 5 is because the woman who took our order was a little rude. We got there 45 minutes before closing and she acted like they were literally about to close shop. We were gone before the 9pm closing time.

First time trying Vietnamese food. The place was clean and the service was quick. Had the stir fried vegtables over rice vermicelle and a couple of vegetarian spring rolls. The spring rolls where not fried like I am used to. They were fresh and tasty and rolled in a unique clear wrapping so you could see exactly what was inside. The entrée had a variety of vegetables and a tasty sauce over noodles that were also different than I had ever tried before. It was a great mix of flavors. It was a large quantity I couldn’t quite finish. Overall a great experience and will make it one of my regular spots.

After two weeks fast food in Houston, I was craving for authentic asian food and found this delicious place. I live in Singapore and travel frequently to Vietnam and can confirm that the Phở is pretty good. I liked a lot the taste of the broth, it seems to me they do use pretty good ingredients and don’t use MSG which is great. I’ll go back to this place confirm + chop

This is my number one choice for phở and traditional Vietnamese food. Since I first arrived in Houston 7 years ago, I got attracted by the big sign on top of the building«Phở Dalat»(I don’t even know the meaning of the words). The staff speaks good English and they are always friendly. Best of all, the owner is very easy to talk to. Unlike other Vietnamese restaurants, this one has the most Vietnamese dishes with the most variety and exciting flavors. I have not had two taste-alike dishes. Praise to the chef! I gave 2-thumbs up on every dish I’ve tried: — Chicken with Ro Ti — this is a Vietnamese-style roast chicken over rice. The flavor was so robust. This was recommended by a waiter. He simply asked me if I was super hungry. And this hit the spot just right. — Beef Salad — It was worth of the wait. The sliced beef was marinated in lemon juice than tossed with spices. Unlike other restaurants, I could not taste the sour lemon flavor at all. I wish it was served with some bread. — Rice Vermicelli with stir fried vegetables — It was so tasty. I can relate this with Houston’s temperatures: hot, warm and cold all at one place. The shredded lettuce, pickled carrot and daikon were cold; noodles and some veggies were warm and tossed with the stir-fried vegetables, tofu and sliced carrots(yup more carrots) were piping hot. It came with a bowl of dipping sauce, but I didn’t need it. — Wonton Soup had lots of sliced grilled pork and vegetables. I recommend this dish when you are under the weather. The broth was very tasty and natural. I skipped the typical dishes like phở and egg rolls, simply because they are already been known at their best.

Preface: I have sensitivities to MSG and fatty foods so when it comes to Phở, I’m trying to find a tasty bowl with minimal fat and msg that won’t leave my tongue tasting like Phở for hours and wont give me a MSG coma. Phở here is excellent. Its almost home-made but better. The broth is tasty and with just enough fat to give it flavor. The msg is at a minimum for a restaurant(any less and it would be home made) and left me feeling full and refreshed(no MSG coma). 11÷7− Com Tam is a mixed bag as I should expect going to a restaurant called PHO dalat. I ordered the Com Suon Bi Cha Hot Ga which is essentially the grilled bone-in pork chop, with a side of Bi Cha(shredded pork and pork skin marinated in ground sesame, a Egg Pork concoction, and a fried egg. #1 They didnt give me Com Tam(broken rice), they gave me regular rice. #2 The Bi Cha had a soapy/cleaner taste to it(I’m glad they clean their pots with soap, just could probably use a few extra rinses. #3 they dont give you a side of soup broth to sip on(which is traditionally provided with com tam) Other than that the Com Tam is made with high quality ingredients that you can taste. The pork is a good cut, aside from the soapy taste, the Bi Cha isn’t cheaply made, and the vegetables were fresh! I would still go again given all those caveats

Honestly, all phở restaurants taste the same to me. Most places cook their broth the same way and that’s the difference between good and bad phở. What I really like about this place is their spring rolls. They’re huge!!! The way it should be! If you go to Phở Saigon down the road, they have really down-sized their spring rolls which is very disappointing. The first time I came here, some a**hole didn’t screw the top of the Hoisin sauce tight enough so when I squeezed the bottle, the top fell into my bowl and got a bowl full of Hoisin suace. I managed to scoop just enough out so it wasn’t so terrible but my soup was pretty much black. Service was bad. I ordered a glass of water when I got there and had to remind the guy to bring my water when I was almost done with my meal. That was kind of annoying because I kept on trying to get his attention but it was during lunch hour so he was busy with other tables. Overall, food was good but they need to improve on their service. Generally, you don’t get good service at Vietnamese restaurants anyway.
