I normally don’t take time out of my life to rate restaurants, but this restaurant is definitely one that you don’t want to go to. The restaurant needs serious cleaning. The napkin dispenser is covered in dust and the corners are full of dust. Also when I went to the counter to pay I noticed that they were serving soup from a pot that was on the floor.

Family owned, good service and food is quick. Mi Quang is the authentic, best in Houston for sure, better than all Bellaire restaurants I’ve tried Rice plates and vermicelli bowls are plentiful and seasoned very nicely. Spring rolls are good size and fresh tasting I have never tried their phở so I cannot vouch for that

Service was friendly and prompt. Location is a bit ghetto, but there’s plenty of parking. Spring rolls with shrimp | good size. Freshly made. Fresh tasting shrimp. My only complaint is the peanut sauce. A little bland and thin peanut sauce for my taste. 3⁄5 Bun rue oc | light in flavor. Some added fish sauce can customize it to your palate. I liked it but didn’t love it. Know that there are snails in this dish if that’s something that concerns you. They’re mostly flavorless, but add a chewy texture to the bites. 3⁄5. Homemade soy milk drink | not bad. A bit sweet and a little chalky, so not for me. But not bad. Personally, wouldn’t order again. Steamed rice with grilled pork | pork was seasoned well. Huge portion. 4⁄5 Overall, I thought the experience was a solid«okay, not bad». Would come here again if friends wanted to but wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

My to-go spot for luncheon. I have PLL almost everyday/week, and never get tired. I personally love the Bun Bo Hue(B1). Spicy, flavorful, tangy!!!

All I can say is wow! I had the phở soup with grilled pork on the side, and I seriously think its one of the best I’ve tasted on this side of Houston. Location is a little out of the way but well worth it.

I love the broth flavor of all of their noodle soups. I have not had a dish I did not like here!

This place was delicious! Phở-cking delicious! And super affordable. Really liked the chicken phở and husband really enjoyed the rare steak phở. We got the beef and egg rolls vermicelli for our son and that was tasty as well. Will definitely be coming back! Oh and get the fresh lemonade!

This place is amazing when it comes to Vietnamese Phở noodles. Came here for lunch after reviewing other’s ratings about this joint. It’s kinda like a hole in the wall place and family owned but boy was the Phở exceptionally good! Broth was clear and clean not like others where it’s muggy and way too much ingredients in the broth. Tasted delicious and appetizing and man did it hit the spot! It’s my number one spot for satisfying my Phở craving from now on. Now I gotta try their rice dishes and so on and so forth.

My sister and I LOVE visiting here when we don’t feel like driving all the way to Bellaire to get some good Vietnamese food. The waiters always provide great customer service and all the ones I’ve ordered on their menu have been delicious! I really love their noodle soups and there’s so many varieties other than phở. I’m not Vietnamese but I can tell that many Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese people visit here because of its authenticity. Don’t let its outer appearance fool you! Give this place a try!

This place is like a gem in Spring Branch. Love their food and service here. Family owned and they also cater. I order my party trays here for all of my events. The egg rolls are delish!

I’ve been here couple of times for lunch. It’s always busy and the crowd is diverse. they have Spanish translated menu on the wall. My favorite 2 noodles soups are translated into Spanish. Bun Bo wei and Bun Nu. I’ve tried both and both are delicious. Service is fast and efficient. The place is simple and clean. One of our favorite lunch spot in the area!

Quick, delicious, fresh, and affordable!!! What more can you ask for!!! There service is fast so it makes it perfect to come during lunch time. If you live in the area it’s a must try. The staff is very friendly too. Come here all the time for lunch. Their ice tea is jasmine ice tea, it’s so addicting!!!

I’ve been feeling under the weather recently and Phở always makes me feel better. I came here for lunch. A large bowl for $ 7? Score. $ 2 for extra meat? I’ll take it. The broth was light and had a little of a citrus taste to it. Noodles were thin and soft. It felt like I ordered extra noodles too since there was plenty in there.

This place is very close by my work and I always go here to get my authentic Vietnamese fix. Inexpensive food but an authentic taste — you can’t beat that. If you need a reminder of where your nonAmerican-born Vietnamese parents took you all the time when you were younger, this is the place to go. Ambience is nostalgic to me for this reason. Don’t go here if you’re looking for excellent albeit decent service. Banh bot loc — I always start with these and take the leftovers back to work for an afternoon snack. Com bo luc lac — Delicious! If you don’t like chewy meat, don’t get this. My coworker didn’t care for the texture, but at the end of the day, that’s what bo luc lac is supposed to be. Mi Quang — Delicious and their main staple. Must try this! Bun Rieu — Authentic! Some places make it too salty, but here is just like grandma’s cooking. Phở — Never tried it, but I heard it’s mediocre.

The service is great — I’ll start with that. That’s an additional star. Décor — are we really going to talk about that at a phở restaurant? Next. The phở. Ok. I’m a bit of a texture-eater as well as the flavors, and the noodles here a bit hard and just didn’t cut it for me. The flavoring was a bit bland too, and while many probably prefer that to the salty vat of MSG that is usually phở, I just didn’t like the combination. Oh but! The sweet rice shrimp cake is delicious! So for that I’ll go, and maybe I’ll try something else next time :)

Good thing you can’t eat atmosphere because you’ll go hungry here. Good thing if you’re hungry is that the food is a solid thumbs up. This is your stereotypical sterile Vietnamese restaurant with a random decoration here or there, but the food is definitely worth a repeat visit.(Bathrooms need some serious shaping up, though.) The phở is a great price for what you get. Broth is lighter in flavor than I would like but still enjoyable, and $ 7(!!!) for a large was plenty of food for me. Awesome because Asian girls can somehow crush noodle soups like champions! Anyway, phở bowls have plenty of meat, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. Spring rolls here are huge. My friends had the bun(vermicelli) dish with barbecue pork, shrimp, and egg rolls(B8, I believe), and theirs looked really appetizing. I would come back to order one of those for sure! Definitely will be back when in the area again!

After church I was craving phở and I didn’t want to go to the usual… but Spring Branch isn’t really known for legit phở. I was delighted to find this place through Unilocal, and so off we went. It was a little further than what we’re used to driving for an after-church lunch, but«authentic» and«best(fill-in-the-blank) in Houston» in Unilocal reviews definitely caught my attention. When hubbs and I drove into the plaza I immediately recognized it; I used to go to Royal Tapioca with some girlfriends back in college and post-college for my banh mi fix. Anyway, we walked in and the aroma of phở made us feel like this place was the real deal. When we sat down a waitress greeted us and we immediately ordered the barbecue pork spring rolls before we could decide what we wanted for lunch. After a few minutes, our waitress got our order: I got a beef phở with fatty brisket, brisket and flank, and hubbs got the #1. Shortly after, we got our spring rolls. The skins were still warm and chewy, like they had just made them. They were really big with a generous amount of meat, and the sauce was even still warm, with a good creamy peanuty flavor. Definitely 5 stars for the spring rolls alone. After a while we got our phở. When I first tasted the broth, it tasted clean, and I could taste bone. But when I ate it with the noodles and meat, it was a little bland, so I had to add some salt. But as I continued to eat, the broth was more and more flavorful… not too overpowering, but clean, like as if I was eating homemade phở at someone’s house. Overall, a very solid experience. It’s a shame it’s kinda far with only residential roads to get to it, but I would definitely come back and try the vermicelli and bo luc lac, and if I’m feeling adventurous, the other dishes whose names I’m not familiar with :)

Came in for a pick up order for lunch after reading all of the good reviews. Friendly service, was acknowledged the moment I stepped in. Fast preparation, I don’t think I waited 10 minutes for my order. Great presentation, I like pretty food. Spring rolls were really good with that sauce they serve it with… bland and unsavory workout it. Vermecelli with shrimp and chicken was great but next time I’ll eat in. By the time I got back to my office, it was room temp. Hate the bean sprouts. Unless you fry them to hell and back, they’re like eating lawn grass. If you ask me they take away from the dish but oh well. Over all, I enjoyed my lunch and will try this place again.

Goodbye dinners aren’t pleasant. I just want my friend to stay forever and never leave! My friends and I ate here for our friend Loan’s goodbye dinner. 2 hours wells spent. Let’s face it. the Spring Branch area is pretty run down. Kind of ghetto. Not safe. Anyways, this restaurant itself isn’t fancy like most. It’s small. Their customers are mostly stores workers down the strip or in the area. Not AS clean as you would like it to be, but there’s not much you can do about it because the place is SOOLD. Not so much homey either but I can deal. I remember going grocery shopping at the store next door and it used to be busy. Times have changed. Anyways the lady who was helping us was patient, nice, and helpful. We had a party of 8 and she wasn’t rushing or rude or any of that sort. Service was great. Food tasted as authentic as it can get. I love Vietnamese restaurants where I can order Hu Tieu Kho. Not many places sell that and that is what set me to giving this place a 5 star. When it came out, it smelled and looked so good. Verdict? TASTEDAMAZING. When everyone else got their food, there were lots of good comments about the food. They all loved it. Some people had taken bites but that didn’t stop me from taking pictures of their food. I stopped people with their mouths full and made them take a picture of their food just so that I could post it on Unilocal. Some people’s I didn’t get a picture of just cause they sat at the end of the table and I was too lazy. But their comments were good enough. Would I come back? Sure. If I were to ever be in the area again.

The best Vietnamese restaurant in Spring Branch. Not only are the main dishes great(my favorite is the Bun Bo Hue {spicy Vietnamese noodle soup) but, they have appetizers that are real authentic Vietnamese cuisine. They have café sua da like any other Vietnamese noodle house but, when you order it they do not give it to you until after water, appetizers, and food have come out. This was odd to me at first but, I have come to enjoy the café sua da much more after I’ve had a taste of my food. One of my favorite places to eat.
