We decided to try this restaurant expecting traditional phở with additional variety of other non-Vietnamese dishes to choose from. When we went in a saw the menu, we actually contemplated going next door. The phở is over-priced and lacked variety; only 3 – 4 different types of phở. Instead, I decided to try the wonton noodles they had on the picture menu that didn’t have prices. The bowl of wonton noodle soup was $ 10! The soup lacked flavor and was NOT worth the cost. My friends got the chicken phở and, they too, said it was bland. Maybe the non-Vietnamese dishes are better, but I wouldn’t go back to try it.

This is my second visit. Last time when I came here, the food was not good. It was the sweet sour chicken and it felt like someone dunked fried chicken into sweet sauce. It did not taste good. Today, I went for lunch and tried the yellow curry. Food came out fast and the food, as spicy as it was, was quite nice. Few things: 1. food is expensive. I ordered a drink, my yellow curry and two shrimp spring rolls and it was practically 20 dollars! 2. Cramped — The restaurant feels cramped. Tables are squashed together. My table and seat is RIGHT by the door. If someone walks in, the will see my back greeting them on the left. Guess it’s the best place to sit to eat and leave without paying? Would I come back? Meh. I don’t know maybe. Maybe not.

This place is amazing for a neighborhood restaurant. It’s a bit pricey, but delicious food. The food is always a bit too spicy for my liking, but nevertheless it’s good. Also, customer service is awesome and I feel like the people that works at this place owns it so they are much nicer.

wonton egg noodle was not bad, I added sauté spice and soy sauce and lemon to it. Good amount of food for the $ 9 bowl, lots of green veggies as well. You ordered the food then go sit down at your table. Self serve water or sodas. Decent place for lunch.

I went here during lunch today and ordered the Thai yellow curry with chicken. It was really delicious. The portion sizes were huge as well. I could only manage to eat half of the dish while in the restaurant so I ended up taking the rest to go. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and gets packed during lunch hours so it’s best to get there early. The parking can be a little tricky as well because there are many other businesses in the complex. But service is relatively quick and the food tastes great so I’d recommend checking out this place at least once!

I get the chicken phở to go here about once a month. No complaints, they’re quick and pack up everything you would need with the phở in the to-go bag.

Food is good. Had the phở several times and Thai dishes. 4 stars for foot but 3 for cost as you can get better value and ambiance nearby.

Seating is difficult and the place is extremely busy so tables may not be cleaned off right away. The food is good and service is pretty fast

I’ve had the Phở and pork rice plate. It’s pretty good and better than other places in the area.

Good food with a Low key setting. You go up to the register and pay and wait for your food to come out. Pretty quick service so it’s a good lunch spot during the week.

Quick service Vietnamese for carry out. Some seating at the restaurant, although best for small groups. Ordered the chicken vermicelli(chicken grilled but not that flavorful) and spring rolls(right ingredients but loosely rolled). Didn’t seem as authentic as other places.

So if this is a Vietnamese Restaurant and Serves One Thai Dish and they do not want to make it and push you to try Phở, why do you have it in the Thai Restaurant Listing ?? I wanted Thai Food and went there on Unilocal referral. Please correct it.

As good as always, but it gets so busy you have to come early if you want a place to sit!

A regular spot for us — always tasty fresh healthy food. The owners are super friendly. Food comes very quickly and is plentiful. You can order mild or spicy and the food is always flavorful. A family favorite is the curry dish although the soft noodle dish is equally as good. These dishes feature loads of fresh vegetables and the servings are enormous. We usually bring containers from home to save half for lunch the next day! They recently painted the restaurant in cheerful bright colors — a very nice touch! Although it’s busy at lunch, dinner time is the time to go when it’s less busy and there’s no problem usually getting a table.

VERY busy. Hard to get seating at lunch time, so look for carryout if possible. I had the chicken phở and was not disappointed. Very fresh, very delicious. The bean sprouts and cilantro that came on a separate plate were amazingly fresh. Good price, cafeteria setting. The only drawback is the iffy chance of getting a seat.

Amazing amazing Vietnamese food at a great price. Everything is delicious. Their vermicelli with grilled shrimp is amazing. The garlic shrimp is out of this world delicious. Try their house made chili oil sauce and other sauces, hands down the best in town. Great place to stop by for lunch.

Scenario: Job interview across the street and I had 40 minutes to burn so let’s see what is around up and down the street minutes both ways. What’s this? An Asian diner almost walking distance from the interview? Screech goes my car into the parking lot, it’s not even a hole in the wall because the place is practically brand new. Look it up and see what fellow Unilocalers are saying, 4 stars, 3 reviews, ok good odds. 2:20 P.M. so there shouldn’t be a lunch rush and sure enough the whole restaurant to myself, it is of course in many places the worst time to check in. Upon entrance immediately to the right is some kind of shelving holding papers, flyers, mint candies, tooth picks and to go menu. Picked up a menu, looked at it while slowly making my way toward the back. «Yeu can coming bak hea to orda» was a polite beckoning tone from the owner. She was suggesting me dishes to try while I still was burying my nose into the paper menu. She handed me a regular menu that had *gasp* pictures! Good! I think any restaurant that cares about showing to their potential customers how their food is supposed to be presented to you is a big plus because it means they CARE about getting to you what you want while making you feel comfortable with it right? Just please agree with me once, you’ll understand why when you run into a restaurant like«R House» and don’t know what the freak your ordering. Still being suggested dishes I informed the lady that I am trying to cut way back on my meats and was looking for tofu. She flipped the menu over and pointed me to two dishes of fried tofu. I don’t care too much for Lemongrass and I did not feel like curry tofu today. I told her that I was hoping there was some kind of «brown» sauce and she told me that she would be glad to get the #3 tofu modified for my dining pleasure. Telling her that I only had about 25 minutes so I will be eating HERE in a hurry. I paid her, she gave me my water which was behind the counter and I made my way to a table. Mind you, there is not a server here(or at least I don’t think there is one) but something that was so simple wow’ed me. If you look the pic I posted up about this business you can see a plastic cup that held silverware and a plastic measuring cup that held napkins, chopsticks and straws. Wow, really good idea I mean come on, you know who you are as a majority needing simple stuff like napkins, straws, forks because you brought along somebody that doesn’t know how to use chop sticks etc and can’t even get the darn stoic faced server to the table, this is the brain chine restaurant that EVERY Asian restaurant should integrate instead of paying a waitress that feels getting items or even pouring beverages is doing you a favor. Really nice touch even though a tad tacky as far as the holders, but it works well!(Yes, I know pretty much all«Phở’» places have the napkin and straw set up but I put this place on a different level than those). I lie to you not that within about a 5 minutes my food came to the table, wow! A really nice 12″ sized serving of steaming HOT food! I know that during non rush hours most establishments if not all of them turn down the heat to conserve«energy» but somebody back there must have fired up the wok as soon as I walked in the door. I had the modified menu tofu with vegetables and white rice. You can substitute fried rice for $ 1. The flavor of the food wasn’t bad but didn’t explode with flavor as well but because of everything else I will definitely be back even though this place is out of my way. Little lady behind the counter, if you can read this, thank you for showing that you really care about your customers, you really had everything thought out and I looked around and know that you really spent a very pretty penny on your livelihood here, keep it up, I really hope you are successful here. Even though my dish was a little expensive at around $ 9 from what I experienced it doesn’t matter I will be a supporter of you. God bless.

Thanh restaurant serving Phở, Noodles, rice platters and family style dishes. Vietnamese food catered for the working hungry adult located in the spring branch area, clay rd east of betway 8 to be exact… Certainly worth a try, cozy atmosphere, decent food, friendly service which is rare at whole in the wall Vietnamese restaurants. I had the beef combination phở(Vietnamese noodle soup) which was a bit sweet for my taste but perfect for the average American who doesn’t critique food the way us foodies do. Not one person who finished their food not have a smile on their face when they walked out, which is a good indication that they enjoyed their meal. Here are the pitfalls., the parking lot is small and the prices are a bit pricy compared to Vietnamese central on Bellaire Blvd., Expect to pay 7.45 for a bowl of phở and around 9.00 for a rice based dish. Happy dining,
