hands down the best phở in town, we come here almost every single weekend and its consistently good every single time. Service is great even when its super packed with a long line at the front door. the kids love love love the meat balls here and i dont blame them. love this place!

First time eating here, and I’d say this is by far the best phở restaurant I’ve ate at ever in the bellaire area. Love the broth, flavored so well I didn’t even want to use hoisin sauce. I will definitely be back.

This place is great! Best phở I’ve had yet. Menu only has beef but boy do they make it well.

Go to place for Phở & Mi Quang!!! Always served hot with a huge plate of veggies. Service can be slow during extremely busy hours.

Best special dry noodle dish(hu tieu kho) in Houston! Additive and very authentic dish. My go to place for the dish!

I usually go here with my family on Sundays. There is usually a wait in the afternoon. I get the phở nam and really like their soup and meat taste good. It is quite expensive for the portion that you get but it gets me satisfied. Their ice coffee is good but the portion is so small. The cups are small, filled up with a lot of ice, few sips and your coffee is gone, so I just wait until most of the ice melts off. The atmosphere looks very nice compared to other phở restaurant and customer service is pretty fast, but there are times when they forget about your table so you will have to call on the waiters/waitress.

this review is based on my last few visits. Phở Duy used to be my favorite phở place… but like most establishments, quality eventually decreases over time. The broth/meat was what made me a repeated customer but now it’s not as good. My biggest complaint is that the broth is too salty!!! The last few times I tasted the broth, it felt like I was ingesting a bag of salt. Seriously, they should cut down on the sodium level. The meat is still descent but many times they skimp on the meat and ur not getting ur $‘s worth. Same thing with the café sua da. they only fill the coffee halfway in ur cup.

My family and I have eaten phở here several times before, but this will be my last visit. We came on a Saturday around 1 pm and there was a line upon arrival, which was expected. We were seated in 10 min and a waiter came to take our order: three large bowls of phở tai and an order of mi quang. He seemed apathetic taking our order, but no big deal… I’ve been eating phở in Bellaire my entire life and consider it to be fast food, so I should have seen a red flag when we didn’t have any food 15 minutes after we ordered. My sister eventually did get her mi quang, but there was still no phở. None of the waiters checked on our table, and we saw other groups who arrived after us getting their phở within 15 minutes of sitting down. After 40 minutes of waiting, we decided to just pay for the mi quang and leave to go somewhere else. Of course, the waiters were completely dismissive and clueless, the guy behind the cashier was rude, and zero apologies or attempts to get us our food were made. I never expect to receive great service at phở joints in Chinatown, but the staff at Phở Duy didn’t even take steps to acknowledge that there was a problem or explain why the orders were so backed up. I ended up driving to Phở Dien on Kirkwood and got a steamy hot bowl of phở tai in a grand total of 3 minutes. Basically, don’t come here unless you enjoy long waits for mediocre phở(that you might not even get), or a lack of service from smug and inattentive staff. Horrible.

It was ok, went here based on Unilocal reviews but wasn’t too impressed. Service was slow, food portions were small and took forever to come out. Phở Dien is still the best place for phở imo.

The phở here is good and very authentic. My last few phở trips have been here. The other shop around the corner is just not worth the uncomfortable wait outside. Broth comes out steaming hot with nice garnishments. Plenty of meats are added and they give you fresh bean sprouts and greens. I always get the Phở Dac Biet(Phở Special). I have also had the Mi Quang, but I’m more of a phở person. It was good, but I prefer the phở here much better. Price is reasonable for the quality of broth and ingredients(~$ 8 a bowl). Friends and family seem to like it too. Service is sometimes a hit or miss. They are so busy and understaffed that you have to flag down or go up to the counter to ask for some thing. Still, I would highly recommend. Winter is coming up ya’ll. Stay warm and have a hot bowl of phở. :-) Same shopping center as the crawfish joint and Nam Giao restaurant right beside a bakery. Hard to find if you aren’t looking for it.

This was my first time trying«mi quang,» and it was very delicious. It is a pork broth with yellow noodles. There are tender strips of pork and pork rinds; boiled quail eggs with soft centers; tiny, flavorful shrimp, and crispy rice crackers inside. There is a bit of red chili sauce that comes in the bowl too. On the side, there are bean sprouts(you have the option to have them raw or steamed), herbs, a tiny yet potent red chili pepper, and some kind of finely minced purple vegetable(a type of onion maybe?). I absolutely loved it. I am looking forward to trying mi quang someplace else one day so I can compare. The atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely. Beautiful piano music played on the speakers. They have an aquarium in the middle with a variety of colorful fish. The servers were ultra friendly and helpful. I had a great experience.

The bowl of phở itself was great. The hardest part to nail down is the broth… easy to do fairly well, but hard to get it GOOD. This place does it pretty darn good such that I didn’t use hoisin sauce. There’s also quite a bit of meat provided, but it’s hidden underneath all the noodles. Why didn’t I give it a higher rating? For a Houston Vietnamese restaurant located right squarely in Chinatown, I felt like the portion size to price ratio was on the low end. My large bowl felt like a regular sized bowl but it wasn’t reflected in price. More importantly though, service was really lackluster. We were sitting as close as you can get to in front of the cash register and right by the main walkway for servers to use, but were ignored almost the whole meal. I waited with an empty cup wanting water for forever(also a side note, broth was pretty salty without using hoisin… but that’s part of why it was so tasty). I had to go out of my way to flag a waiter down to get water refills. I get that the place is busy, but not getting checked in on once in a 30 min time span when we have multiple people walk past us every minute is a very fixable mistake…

Usually I judge a phở restaurant by the quality of their phở broth… And my god I think this has got to be the best phở I’ve ever had… If you’ve ever been to Cajun kitchen for crawfish, phở duy is located in the same plaza, in the left corner. PROS: I ordered a small Phở Tai and the broth was PERFECT. I squeezed some lime in but that was it, I didn’t need to add anything at all! Not even sriracha, because the flavor was sooo delicious I just wanted to enjoy it without. The eye round steak meat they used was also really different compared to most phở restaurants… It was more tender and more expensive I think. And what’s cool about this place is that they ask if you want your bean sprouts steamed or fresh! Also they make their orders through an iPad at your table while you’re ordering, so orders are being put in faster!(Not necessarily sure if they’re actually coming out faster though.) CONS: They don’t give you a lot. Usually I have a hard time finishing smalls at ANY Phở restaurant I go to, but here… I not only finished my small BUT I was craving more and kind of still hungry too! Not only that, but they may be jipping you on the large too… My friend ordered a large and we compared the quantity. He had the same amount of noodles as mine, but just in a bigger bowl with more broth… A «large». Best phở place ever, minus their bowl sizes. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! But I’ll get my own large next time to see if I can finish it. Their large just may be the small of every other restaurant! They’re lucky they have amazing broth.

We came to bellaire for lunch and we had terrible luck. As the first 3 places we visited happened to be closed, either for vacation, just their day off, or completely went out of business. So we were looking for a lunch option. This place was new to me so we walked in. I looked over the menu and they actually offered Mi Quang, which is the yellow noodle, pork broth soup. I crave this because most places do a bad job at it. This place was pretty solid. The broth was flavorful and packed with meat. I will be back to give their phở a try, but their Mi Quang got my approval.

This is my new favorite spot for phở in Houston! The broth is PERFECT and this place is actually clean. I also sampled the egg rolls and they were yummy and cooked evenly with a good amount of meat filling. They also give complementary coffee jello after you finish. Very nice touch!

My new favorite place to get my Phở fix. Pros: Good flavorful broth, temperatures always on point, clean condiments area, free jello after your meal, staffs are always well dressed in uniform. Cons: Always out of oxtail, flank steak tasted old and refrigerated, Restroom needed maintenance. Overall, I highly recommend ordering the flank steak on the side because you’ll be served fresh, red slices of flank steak on a plate that you’ll then get to add to your piping hot bowl of phở.

Tried out Phở Duy for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It’s located in the same plaza as Vibe Lounge and Cajun Kitchen, just a little further down. It was pretty packed for a Saturday afternoon. Which is not surprising, I guess. I was the first of my group of four, and I was seated promptly with menus. However, i did not receive any attention from the many waiters passing by me for at least fifteen minutes. It wasn’t until a second person showed up that they even came by to ask what I wanted to drink. The phở itself is pretty good, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve ever had. I usually don’t finish a small, but I wolfed this one down and ended up finishing a friend’s because their small is literally just. really small. Prices are pretty decent, too. Nothing outrageous. However, the store looks new, and up to date. It doesn’t look run down, and is aesthetically pleasing. It’s actually a pretty nice looking place. Though, I wish I could say their service was on the same level.

My favorite phở restaurant! I am usually not picky about my phở broth but I really really like the broth here. They are very generous with the amount of the noodles and meat you get in your bowl. I love that they give you your sliced beef on a separate plate with a bowl of hot soup so you can cook it to your liking. Cause sometimes the beef is too well done when they put it into your phở bowl. The atmosphere is modern — a bit fancy for a phở place with your average prices but that’s what I liked about it! Ha. I did wish they served egg rolls but they only have spring rolls. They get pretty busy on the weekends during peak hours, so heads up!

I have been to Phở Duy every single time I visited Houston for the last 4 – 5 trips. And I never tried Phở. i actually had the same hu tieu all the time, but the people who went with me always had Phở and they loved it. Wait, actually I tried 1 spoon of Phở broth before because to me the broth is the most important factor to determine quality of the bowl of Phở. And it was actually tasty. The broth is also clear which meets the basic expectation of Vietnamese and Phở. I also heard from relatives that this is a best Phở in town. Hu tieu is good. The portion is not big but I really like the ingredients they used to make the topping. To be honest, I am not sure exactly what they used but it was a good combination and good amount. I usually add some lime and a lil bit soy sauce then Im good. Yum! The side bowl of soup usually includes about 2 pieces of spare ribs. The broth tastes fine. The restaurant is pretty clean and new. The last two time I went there, they gave us coupon for free 1 large Phở with a party of 6. I usually don’t see these at Phở restaurants or any Vietnamese restaurant. So I say this is nice even thou I dont live in Houston and don’t get to use them. Still nice!

There are over a dozen phở restaurants around China Town but what sets this one apart is the meat. The broth is consistently flavorful and the noodles are okay. The meatballs and beer are amazing, you just have to taste for yourself. The café sua da is so so. The hours are weird, I wish they stayed open later.
