I had spring rolls, the steak and brisket phở, and a sweet iced tea. Since I haven’t had bad spring rolls or phở to reference from I will simply state that the food was all quite good and review the other qualities I found to be favorable. I would say the best qualities of Phở Long were the quickness with which the food was delivered and appearance of restaurant. My food was out very quickly. May have had something to do with being one of very few people there but quick regardless. As for the atmosphere, it is a deceptive restaurant. Given the area of town, I expected a run down strip mall restaurant where I would expect to see health violations. But to my surprise it is a nicely decorated and clean establishment. I am glad I went out of my comfort zone to check it out. I look forward to going back.

Best phở I’ve had so far in Houston. Much better than Phở Saigon or Les Grivals… the portion here is better and the food comes out really fast. Their spring roll was really good and fresh too. Right next to Karbach and plenty of parking around the area. Only thing I would improve is they refill your drinks more often. Looking forward to coming back and trying other things on the menu.

Nice Bahn Mi sandwich. Beware: their Bahn Mi sandwich has a hot pepper in it. It was too hot to me, so, I had to throw it out before continuing eating.

Four stars because the phở is amazing and is quick especially since I have only an hour for lunch. The only reason for the four stars is because the Dr. Pepper is TOO syrupy. It is so gross that I tried not only once but twice to give them a chance. I don’t know what they are doing but as a fan of Dr. Pepper, I won’t order the DP from there. The other disappointing experience from here is there spring rolls!!! Oh! My goodness! Why do they suck… The best spring rolls it from Phở Hang on 1960 even there phở is better. The best thing is the quick convince but still as some flaws.

Visited Phở Long for the first time yesterday. This would be my first time trying Vietnamese food ever. I was very impressed. I had the egg roll appetizer and the G4 which is grilled shrimp and pork served with vermicelli noodles and vegetables. Its actually called Bun Tom Thit Nuong according to the menu. The food was fresh and very tasty. The waiter was very friendly and the service was superb. Nice neighborhood joint kind of feel to the place. Visited this place a second time and had to ding it for cleanliness. The tables and condiment bottles were filthy, at the most I could only give it 3 stars

My fave lunch place. Recommended for saving your wallet. Food served super fast, less than 5 minutes, even during peak hours. Their egg rolls is a must. I also recommend their G5/G6 if you got bored eating Phở. Dripped ice coffee for to-go.

For a quick lunch time bite, it really hits the spot. Great quick service and good food! And thanks for the pile of basil, cilantro, sprouts, and the juiciest slice of lime ever for my Phở Ga. :) Next time I’m having one of the grilled meat dishes. The place smelled GREAT.

This place has amazing food, located in a not so amazing spot but if you find it, you are lucky… the food here is delicious and the staff is very friendly. The Phở and Spring Rolls are delicious. Cant get enough of this place. Best Vietnameses ive tasted on this side of town.

Happy to have found a legit Vietnamese restaurant here. The phở was great. The fried spring roll appetizer was awesome! Fried to perfection with the filling perfectly seasoned. It definitely tasted freshly made. Ordered the beef over rice and the beef was a bit too gamey but still very flavorful. Would definitely return here when we’re craving Vietnamese.

Best phở in Houston. I take the phở naked here because the broth is so delicious and nutritious.

One of my two goto Vietnamese restaurants for a quick lunch in the 610⁄290 area. The phở and rice plates are both very good. My favorite thing about Phở Long is if you order a rice plate they give you a generous bowl of phở with it. Can’t beat that!

Some weird hours this place keeps, you walk into to a 5 ft tall sign proclaiming«happy hour specials on bahn mi’s» problem is they close at 3pm or 5pm, or I guess whenever they feel like it. Strange service, but fast and efficient. Interior is clean, spacious, and condiments are pretty good. Bahn mi’s are on a soft french roll(none of the roof of your mouth scarring givral’s bread here) meat isn’t quite as generous as the real Givrals(screw that Kahve travesty) nor can you get a double meat, but you can order it with an egg(oh boy). Vegetables are excellent though, seedless cucumbers(thank you!) and they are kind enough to remove the seeds in their jalapenos, with the normal carrots/cilantro. All in all a winner, may need to try other things on the menu. Buddy suggested avoiding the spring rolls, which we did. Definitely will be back, prices are in line with Bellaire or Midtown, service was average to good, food while not mind blowing was definitely pretty good, probably the best bahn mi on the northwest side, next time will try the bun(vermicelli with salad and grilled meat).

Service, food, etc, etc was all top notch. Meat portions were plentiful in the phở along with fresh vegetables. It will be a regular stop for me when in Spring Branch.

I was sadly disappointed with all the hype about this place from my friends. Maybe I had my expectations way too high. I ordered the beef short ribs and veggies over rice. It came with some piping hot beef broth and an egg roll. The broth was so bland, but the egg roll was fairly satisfying. When The beef came out, it smelled awesome, but it was too undercooked. When I asked to bring the dish back, the chef mentioned to be that the meat is supposed to be chewy, but she still continued with cooking it through. Everything tasted pretty good when I received my dish back. Is this one of my favorite Vietnamese places? No. However, it’s decent enough to stop by if you’re starving and craving some vietnamese cuisine.

Stopped here for somewhere quick, Com thit nuong with fried egg –egg was nicely fried crispy all around the edges –thit nuong not bad, taste and portion size Fried egg roll(50% off with check in) –not bad, a little skimpy on lettuce though Fish sauce(MUSTADDSIRIACHA) Inside very clean, and neat. Service: Very fast when ordering but afterwards don’t expect them to check up on you. If your Vietnamese you know how it goes! Pay out at register when done.

I’ve been feeling under the weather lately and a bowl of phở really helps when I’m sick. This happened to be close to work. I decided to sit in the«bar area»(basically the area near the kitchen). Ordered a large bowl of phở. The broth wasn’t flavorless or full of MSG. It was just right although it could’ve used a little bit more flavor to it. My food was brought out relatively quick. I just wish the noodles were a little thicker.

This is a great place for a quick lunch. Each time I’ve come, service has been quick, food hot & fresh, and portions generous. They keep this spot very clean. It also has a calming vibe to it. Even during the lunch rush, it doesn’t seem too busy or noisy. Staff doesn’t rush you through your meal. I’ve had the phở, eggrolls, and rice bowls before & all were yummy. Is it the most fantastic phở ever? Probably not. But is it some of the better stuff you can get on this side of town, with good service & prices for a quick lunch? You betcha!

It’s really strange, I swore I had written a review for these guys awhile back but on my latest check-in I realized there was no reviews or even a draft pending. It has been long overdue. I was awaiting to finish trying out their menu before finishing my review. This is probably the closest phở/vietnamese restaurant close to my office. It’s definitely not the best, but it’s serviceable, and when you have that craving for viet food, at least it’s close by. We bring clients here all the time who want phở because it’s pretty consistent too. Because my gf now makes a lot of phở at home, I started to shift what I eat here. They have decent rice plates, and the grilled pork banh mi with a fried egg is delicious!
