Driving from Dallas to Houston and had to stop in after seeing the reviews on Unilocal.This place has great phở and tasty spring rolls. Wonderful customer service. We will be back again!

Just ordered a company dinner from here & we loved it! We had a horrible experience with phở vang 2 down the road and we usually get Vietnamese once a month so we needed our fix… Read the reviews from here and thought we’d give them a shot! The lady we still spoke with when we placed our order was very sweet and patient. Thanks guys! We will def be back!

This place is so laid back and a fun place to eat at. Super chill which is a plus for me. As long as I get good service, good food, and they stay fair priced, I’ll keep coming back.

Really good food. Overpriced. I can get the same meal half price at phở Saigon down the road. Paid about 15 bucks for this bowl of rice with beef. Really good. Beef was excellent. They are just overpriced for the food you get. Will def go back. They need to have a lunch special. I really enjoyed the taste of the fried rice. Customer service was excellent. One tip to owner add lunch menu. Will def go back and try a few other dishes.

Wonderful phở. Great and fast service. Ordered the phở with wontons and egg noodles and it was the best phó I think I’ve ever had.

Reality probably lies closer to a 3.5 here. First, the chicken spring rolls were awesome. The chicken was grilled giving it a surprising texture (in a good way) and the peanut sauce was on point. The phở was fair. The broth was good, however the noodles were clumped in a ball at the bottom of the bowl. Once they were free to roam the bowl after some agitating, they were somewhat rubbery… and the volume of beef was below average.
Would I go back? Yes. Would I go out of my way to get there? Not likely

Best pork Bánh mì I’ve ever had. The Vietnamese egg rolls were also great! I would definitely recommend this place

So in this little ²⁹⁰⁄₆₁₀ area there are actually a few Vietnamese food options. I usually just go to Phở Long, just because it’s the closest, but sometimes you just want to change it up and my 2^nd choice is Phở & Grill. As far as the Phở broth goes Phở Long has them beat, but I feel I get a little bit more food over here. I also, like the banh mi from this location, especially since they are open late, I sometimes pick up dinner from here too vs Phở Long which closes after lunch.
Also, the eggrolls and the vietnamese style fish sauce wings are a good way to start any meal too. Very fortunate to have multiple options for Vietnamese food without having to go to Bellaire.

I appreciate the clean environment and I really love that the food is msg-​free! Great place. I’m a regular.

Looking back, I was a bit harsh on my review on this place. Came here several times after and the bowl of phở has been great. I get the option with 3 meats. It tastes great and even better without MSG.

The spicy fried rice was yummy. Haven’t tried the phở. Service was very good, attentive and quick.

Incredible crawfish for the price. Just as good as LA crawfish almost as good as Joyln’s! Service was not great but manageable considering!

Honestly, I can tell that Phở here has no MSG because I’m very extremely sensitive to it (I’d get headache and tongue numb even if a little bit is added).
I don’t understand why people complain about broth looking greasy or dirty. Do they mean they prefer just purely clear powdery broth? It’s so unfair to the restaurant who makes broth out of real beef bone and get bad ratings for it.
That being said, Phở is not my favorite in this restaurant. I love their fried rice bowls and grilled meat! Those are especially scrumptious (although quite expensive and large). But they have the house special spicy sauce (sa te) that I can’t find anywhere else so I always come back for more.

Well first off, no MSG (very RARE!!) already a huge distinction, and still tastes amazing!
Second, amazing service (why I put 5 stars), never waited for anything and the guy anticipated everything I needed, seriously best service I’ve had in a long long time.
Also the spring rolls were a hit, not the typical small ones, big enough to share one order for 2 people, there huge and the peanut sauce was a perfect pair and you get a small bowl of it. Portion size is not an issue at this place.
Only thing… The Pad Thai was nothing special, but go to a phở place and get phở… duhhh, you won’t regret it!

Just ate here. Definitely one of the nicest places I have had phở. Too bad the phở was, in my opinion, greasier than others I have had and expensive ($ 8 for a bowl??). The spring rolls tasted fresh but the peanut butter dip tasted like it had mayo in it. Very odd. Restaurant staff, Steven, was attentive and professional.

Great service, solid food, convenient location! Vermicelli is fresh and tasty, dumplings are great, their teas, smoothies and coffees are too notch. And the restaurant itself is very pretty.

Not the best phở I’ve tasted. If you want good phở. Go a bit further up 290 to phở da lat behind la fitness near Walmart.
Lack of staff, waiter wasn’t that friendly. Didn’t refill water even though we were one of the few customers there.
Com luc lac was not good. And their banh mi was sub par.
I won’t be returning.
This place used to be a bit better last year, but I don’t know what happened.

I took a friend out to lunch this past week and he was craving phở (since his wife doesn’t like Vietnamese, he has to keep his addiction to himself. It was my first time and I enjoyed it. I ordered some shrimp spring rolls, which were fresh and tastey. We both ordered phở with steak (32 oz bowl) and he recommended getting a double portion of meat and noodles. After all, it was only 25cents more. I wish I hadn’t because it was just too much food. I really enjoyed the broth; it did not taste greasy to me.

Where are all these bad reviews coming from? What is wrong with the Phở’? Why so mean?!
I had the pleasure of being the first one to submit the photo of the front while it was being constructed and forgot all about it for months until I stumbled upon here again. «Oh yea, that place, been wanting to stop by there». Let me tell you something about this immediate area, most of the Phở places are tucked, almost hidden and scarce for this stretch of highway. Further down away from Houston there are about 3 or 4 Phở places, one also being on the feeder but kind of hidden and the others knickered back behind Tidwell. Then you have the one that is on the other side of the ribbon mêlée ridden roads and a *itch to get too unless you know where to make that U turn and how far down to go.
Parking: Plenty and even enough for a lunch rush. They try to be sneaky at night by parking all of the employee cars up front to make it look busy and hopping but that is ok I would do the same, business strategy. Just be prepared to walk in and say «Hey, where is everybody?» since all the 8 spaces in front will be filled, you sneaky Sams!
Once you walk in you will be greeted with one of the most up beat, most cheery and genuine Vietnamese you will ever have met on this side of the Mekong Delta and Asian establishments in Houston. If you have been here long enough, then you know there is a very thin line between smirky, careless and disrespectful servers/​owners as contrasted to happy, ambition driven and care giving attitude in the Asian community standard of restaurant treatment. Meet the later. I have witness on three different occasions a combination of some customers that need to be drop kicked and pointed for a field goal all the way back to 290 and on two other occasions them treating two different tables at two different times like family members from another country by explaining patiently what each items on the menu are. My only complaint is they don’t like to have tapioca after around 7 p.m. but this is not a boba place anyways. Oh, did I mention they have tapioca?! You cannot get that within a 5 mile radius here unless you go inside the closest mall here.
You will find this restaurant a shy angle back behind the Wings n Things… or is it Wings n More?, strip center flanked on each side by other businesses.
What is the matter with the Phở’? I should be playing the lottery since everytime I come in here I always get the good tasting batch and I even brought mother here for the seal of approval, she agrees with the quality of the broth here. Not really knocking the other reviewers but on the flip end I probably have been slammed with bad food and service at other places while they got the good experiences as well. *shrug*.
Do you want to know something that stands out on this menu that is very minor but something you do not get at most other Phở’ places? The beef spring roll. You get two in an order and will run you around $ 4.75 but worth it. Those things are kind of hugethat’swhatshesaid and filling. If you are a light eater, come here and try an order of these, you will not be disappointed.
The prices are on par for what you get in equation of location, amount of food and quality. Soft drinks here are $ 1.25 as compared to $ 1.99 at other places.

Cleanliness is a natural here. The place is new so that is a fresh start but maintaining it is another. Floors that are wooden are maintained clean, restrooms don’t smell like booty, condiment bottles aren’t gunked up, tables do not wobble, ceiling tiles are seeping black mold by the vents and your silverware come to you wrapped!
You have tried every other Vietnamese restaurant in the vicinity of Houston so why not try one more? You will not be disappointed, don’t let the other reviews deter you on this baby.

I am SO excited that we found this new joint via Groupon. It’s not far from our house and is all around a great establishment.
You may think it’s a negative since it’s located in a strip center right off the freeway, but I actually find that to be quite positive. It’s easy to find, there is always adequate and free parking and the interior is very open with large front windows. There are quite a few booths on the right wall, tables in the center and a combination of seating on the left. It’s very clean and bright.
Our waiter was great. He came when we needed him and stayed away when we didn’t. The menu is easy to read and simple, but with solid offerings. I really dislike that most Vietnamese places have 18 page menus and no descriptions in English of what the dish contains (a nightmare for picky eaters or people with allergies), so I find myself asking the server about every dish. This menu was 4 pages, and DOES contain descriptions in English. You can also find their menu online (without prices) and the homepage features some nice large pictures of dishes.
We usually stick to water, but to reach our full Groupon total ($ 20), my husband ordered a strawberry limeade with sparkling water and we loved it. This was like a flavored limeade from Sonic except more fizzy and less syrupy — very refreshing and a great accompaniment to our meal! We plan on trying the mango next time.
I HIGHLY recommend the beef tenderloin spring rolls which were my favorite taste of the meal. The meat was juicy and flavorful and the rolls were large and well rolled and served with a tasty peanut sauce. (No cucumber in the roll, yay!)
I enjoyed the chicken phở, though I did have to double up on the hoisin and the siracha and even add some soy sauce to achieve the spice balance I like. The broth was smooth and not greasy, but my husband thought the broth was a little heavy on the fish sauce. The white meat chicken was sliced very thinly and tender, and there was a large amount of meat. I definitely did not feel like I was eating mostly noodles and broth — I got my protein, too. My husband ate 2 BBQ pork bahn mi sandwiches, and he liked the meat a lot, but thought the bread was a little soggy. I thought the bread was perfect because sometimes the crispy crust on french bread hurts my gums. They also sell a bahn mi with the beef tenderloin that we had in the spring rolls, and I think we’ll try that next time.
I’m interested in trying the sauteed cashew chicken, the fried rice dishes and the pad thai (kind of odd for them to serve pad thai but I’m on board!) Even without a Groupon, the prices are more than fair, and you could easily feed 2 for less than $ 20. We’ll definitely be back, and if our first time was any indicator, we’ll become regulars.
