I wrote this review while getting my nails fixed. They tried for close to two hours and they could not do a shellac manicure. It kept bubbling and cracking and turning mayte every time they’d be done. Let me be clear the employees are very nice but the products are not good! The owner asked me to take down my Unilocal review after having to be called after the employees could not get the shellac to work!!! AWFULAWFULAWFULMANAGEMENTANDPRODUCTS

I’m in love with this place… recently moved here and have had the worst experiences with most nail salons but Cindy did a wonderful job and unlike most places she did exactly what I asked! She has her own special nude mix so if your looking for a natural look ask for her special mix. I will definitely return here and only here from now on!

I went in only because I had an appointment near by and needed a shilac manicure. The ABSOLUTEWORST place to go to! Despite the fact that the place needs updating, especially for its location, Kathy who attended me in removing my shilac decided to use her nails to scrape off my shilac after she rubbed her bare feet with lotion in front of me! She wrapped the entire top of my hands with foil and acetone and it was freezing cold and irritating all of my fingers. Every place I have ever been to either wrap my finger tips only or soak my tips in acetone covered with a cloth for warmth. Then She tried getting the shilac off with a tool to scrape it off of which I’m familiar with, continuously ramming it into the cuticle so I asked her kindly to stop. I allowed another women to finish and she cut my cuticle! I’m not used to poor quality shilac removal or inexperienced nail salon attendants. I initially went in for French shilac manicure and left an hour later with only shilac removal and dry hands from all of the acetone. I expected so much more considering the location NEVERGOING back! 1 star because not only did Kathy rub her bare feet with lotion in the chair right across from me while my entire hands were wrapped in acetone and foil, she proceeded to use HERNAIL to to scrape off acetone. I was in pain from her ramming the tool into my cuticles And the following women who took over cut me with a file. I had more time to spare but I excused myself kindly and said I didn’t have time to get shilac so removal would do after being there for an hour and NO progress. I asked how much for the removal and she said 10 $. I could help but laugh. I told her I would give her 5 and left. I feel like she was taking advantage of the situation by claiming it be 10. The only way I would pay 10 dollars for removal is if it was done right and I, myself didn’t have to get the tool and remove it from my nails.

I walked in the salon on Friday December 12th at 11:30 am and requested an express pedicure and basic manicure because I had to leave at 1:50pm. I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to a spa pedi and was promised to be out of the salon by 1:50 so I opted to go for the paraffin pedicure and still maintained I wanted a basic manicure. An older female was doing my pedi and a male was working on my manicure. The lady working on my pedi initiated I get the shellac manicure saying it lasted longer and I expressed I worked out and getting anything other than a basic manicure was a waste of my money because they’d chip. She must of asked me 5 or 6 different times so I finally said fine so she’d leave me be. She said they’ll last three week guaranteed. It was 1:30pm and she was still doing the foot massage so I reminded her I needed to leave by 1:50 so we could cut the massage short so I wouldn’t be late. 1:50 came and went and she hadn’t even started on the polish. I was extremely upset because I was promised I’d leave on time and even after I reminded her at 1:30 she continues with the massage. I left there at 2:10. My shellac mani damaged before I even left on my left thumb and my left toe smudged shortly after. $ 88 later I was not pleased with either pedi or shellac mani. The shellac mani chipped further the following day. Not even 24 hours after getting them done. It’s been a week now(12⁄20) and on my right hand 3 nails are damaged in addition to my thumb before leaving and my pedi right toe still smudged. Overall not worth the $ 88 I paid for both. Definitely not recommend this place to anyone. I understand they have to sell their products and services but they practically bully customers. into them.

Oooookay. I tried this place in October and absolutely loved it. Today, after picking off my shellac mani out of compulsive mania, I went in requesting that they remove the remaining clear polish that was under the shellac and buff my nails – no polish, no frills. Just a basic manicure. They were able to help me right away, which was great. But then… the reason that I liked this place before – cleanliness – went flying out the window. Quinn, the woman doing my nails, did several things that made me NEVER want to step foot in this place again. –The metal tools are no longer individually sanitized. Mine were pulled out of a bucket full of nail files, buffers, other metal tools, etc. I saw the same going on for other customers. –In the middle of my manicure, another staff member came by to hand my manicurist some money. She stopped to count the money and then went right back to my manicure. Money is one of the dirtiest things you can handle. Food safety guidelines do not allow someone cooking your food to handle money then go back to touching food, would you let someone do the same and then touch your skin? –SHEKEPTWIPINGHERNOSEWITHHERHAND. I just about hurled. I don’t think she was sick or anything, it didn’t seem like it, but maybe allergies or just a nervous tick. Still, not okay at all. I really almost got up and left right then and there, but I guess it’s the Southern upbringing in me that didn’t want to offend the little old lady. –Her nails were incredibly long and hard and my massage felt like an angry cat was doing it. After all this, I get home, sanitize the living hell out of my hands, and notice that she didn’t even get all of the old clear polish off. Ordinarily I’d pop back in and get it fixed but there’s no way I’m letting them touch me again! tl;dr: Huge decline in quality over the last year, SUPERUNSANITARY(probably illegally so)! Stay away!

It’s very clean, the chairs are comfy, the magazines are current, the manicurists are all very good, and you don’t need an appointment. I’ve been going here for a few years and I have always gotten excellent manicures and pedicures. I take my own polish, although they have a great selection. The foot bath, scubs and lotions are nice. They’re open late, so it’s easy to pop by after work and before an event. Reasonably priced. It is nice that they’re next to Starbucks!

I came in yesterday for a pedicure. This place is conveniently located, both to me and to the starbucks which I was in desperate need of. I didn’t catch his name but a guy did my pedicure and it was excellent. He really took his time(they weren’t very busy) and did a great job with the polish. I got the spa pedicure($ 8 more than the express) which was totally worth it! I got a fantastic leg and foot massage, exfoliating scrub, and hot towel. They have a good selection of colors and carry OPI, essie, etc. The spa is very clean and doesn’t smell like nail polish remover. In keeping with the theme of the day, I was unpleasantly surprised that they charge $ 35 for a pedicure. But overall I am very happy with my pedicure so as long as it lasts 3+ weeks this place has earned 4 stars.

I went in on a Friday for a pedicure. Michelle was the technician that took care of me during my visit. She is very nice and she took the time to get to know me. Overall, I am very pleased with the service that I received here.

Very clean and nice place to have your nails and toes done. Offer many services. under new management – I have been going here for years – never a problem. use plastic liners in the bowl for your feet.

Totally standard nail salon. I love places that use the plastic lining over the spa bowls; there is no messing around when it comes to salon sanitation. But my manicure was just so-so. I’m very picky about manicures(no cuticle-cutting, squared tips and buffing only), but it seems like that relatively simple manicure should be great every time. Unfortunately, I think my tech was in a bit of a hurry. But the pedicures and clean chairs are reason enough to give this place a shot.

I LOVE this place. I’ve been going here now for three years and the staff is always so sweet. After I moved out of the greenway plaza area to the Northeast part of the Heights, I make the drive over to Q. My favorite persons to see are Cindy(very gentle and does the best job), Michelle(does a great job & does it quickly), and there is one more, but I don’t remember her name — I only saw her one time. For a full set, it’s $ 35, and for a refill, it’s $ 25. I think it’s funny that Julie said they were speaking loudly in Vietnamese… Um. DUH. Who cares? If I had to do the same boring shit every day, I’d have my own conversations, too. I certainly don’t feel the need for them to entertain me with petty small talk, nor do I expect them to sit there and not say an entire word for an hour while I sit and talk with my friends. Grow up!

I see my past review is gone so here I go again. The employees have long loud conversations in Vietnamese and seem to have trouble with English, even the word, «Ow!» The stylist tried to shield where she cut my toe as if I had no feeling in it? I told her to stop and left. I’d been a long time acrylic nail customer before but just couldn’t handle this.

Fantastic! Mona and Kara are the best! Clean and friendly and a super fantastic job on the nails. You won’t regret this visit. Oh, and skip the waxing here. The nails are the best, the waxing… «eh».
