I went to the red rooster one time on Martin Luther king. I have been 3 times to its new location on main street. It’s more of a old school crowd of both women and men. Pretty laid back. Nice atmosphere and pretty nice double sided club. A good place to go alone cause you won’t get bothered. So overall I like the new spot better.

Although I had a good time the club wouldn’t be my 1 – 5 choice. The place is full of men and women over 50 on one side and boys under 30 on the other side. Lots of gator shoes and long pimp coated suits. The guys we did meet ranged from 45 – 70 years of age and full of lies and fake names. One guy about 60ish introduced himself as Mr OooWeee Baby! The music on the grown and sexy side was actually very good.

Fun place to go to see all the real pimps left in Houston. I enjoy it every once and a while as a no pressure place to hang out with some history. My parents used to hang out here.

I went on a Friday night and the «younger» side was not open so I joined the «older» crowd. The music was ok. The crowd ranged from 45 – 65 no lie. Old men undressed me with their eyes. I will go back only to check out the other side.

Believe it or not, this R & B club’s main night is Wednesday! I love it. There are 2 clubs in one and it’s a mature crowd. The men are a bit creepy, and the usuals are a bit nerve-racking. I try to avoid those «attractions» & just stick to hanging out.
