I visited this Redi Clinic due to flu like symptoms and was advised on arrival that and check in that I would not owe anything. After visiting the medical staff and being swabbed for a flu test I was advised that the test takes 15 minutes to develop. Within 5 minutes another member of the medical staff came into the room and looked at the test and told me that I did not have the flu. I asked her about the 15 minute deal and she said that did not matter and sent me on my way. At the end of the visit I was asked to put a credit card on file«in case there was a charge». When I asked about this I was advised again that there would be no charge but it is policy to do this. Being sick and ready to go home I complied. The woman behind the counter gave me a piece of paper to sign that said that I could be charged up to $ 500. When I inquired about this she again told me that I would not be charged. A couple of weeks later I receive an email from Redi Clinic stating that my card will be charged $ 84.00. I called the number on the email to inquire about this and the first person that I addressed this issue with explained the charges and had a bit of an attitude. I asked her if she thought that what the woman at the clinic told me was deceitful and she said«deceitful no human error yes». I then read here the Merriam– Webster definition of deceitful(: not honest: making or trying to make someone believe something that is not true) and again asked if she thought that I could have been deceived. She went quiet and would not answer me, finally she said«let me get you my manager». Soon after that Judy Jones, her manager was on the line and made up a whole line of excuses of why I was charged. Judy Jones had lots of attitude as well. When I asked Judy Jones if she thought that this might be a bit deceitful she got very defensive and kept referring to my insurance policy. I feel that deceptive trade practices were used at Redi Clinic and Judy Jones, the Director of Revenue Cycle fully supports the use of these deceptive practices and makes excuses for the people who use them.
