I fell in love with this shop the moment I walked in. I received a warm greeting and browsed around the shea butter and body oil section. If you’re a DIYer like myself, you can find raw shea and cocoa butter in different sized containers, ranging from $ 10-​$ 15. The best part is that they have scented whipped butter mixtures that include shea butter, coconut oil, apricot oil, and almond oil and they smell AMAZING! I purchased the Lemongrass and Black Women scents and the fragrance in them isn’t overbearing but lasts all day. The shop also has samples of the body oils for you to try which is great because they have more than 50 different types of mixtures. You can purchase different types of black soaps and also natural hair cleansers. I’ll definitely be back to restock my supply.

This is one those stores where the products are hard to come by in Houston. Most of these products will only be sold at a flea market here and those are hit or miss. The fact that they have a little more of a consistent stock versus their flea market counterparts, is one of the things that won me over. I also don’t know of ANYone else who sells real black soap without having to call a number on the back of a card. And if you are a fan of LUSH’s soaps, they have a pretty good selection of comparable ones. It is true, it’s hard not to get just what you went in for. My main purchases are the incense, shea butter, and black soap. But I always find something extra.

My friend Tawn is always raving about this spot. She just recently purchased a black fist necklace and some oils so I decided that this weekend I would check out this place to see what her hype was about. I am totally in love with this store. Upon walking in you are greeted by a gentleman with locs who makes you feel very welcomed. The store smells amazing from all the oils and soaps that they have. Everything is natural and healthy that they carry. They carry hand– made dresses, jewelry, shoes, natural hair & body products, burning oils, incense, books & educational dvds. I could have spent a lot of $$ in this store. I wanted everything in there. lol. All in all this is a great store and I am so happy that I know about it. I will definitely start purchasing my hair and body products from them and maybe even a few jewelry pieces.
