Love me some Italian ice, there was a vendor that sold Italian ice at the Astrodome. Why did it take so long to bring Italian ice back to Houston.

One word… Yum! I had the strawberry watermelon gelatini(strawberry watermelon Italian ice with vanilla custard). What an awesome combo. This is a nice place to take the kids to for a fun ice cream time.

Always a great place to stop in and have a cool treat. They always have different flavors and they post them on their website. The customer service is always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Rita’s to any and everyone!

Perfect cheat day from the gym! First time here. The pretty young lady told me about the place. also explained the menu. Ended up leaving with the Orange Italian ice and some frozen custard.

In so happy there’s a Rita’s in Houston, and close to home too! Best thing to get: gelati! It has both the Italian ice and custard! The custard is very creamy and consistently good. There are quite a few flavors of Italian ices to choose from, so you’re covered there. The great thing I also like about them is you can pick as many flavors as you like for the same price. Pricing: very cheap! For the amount of Italian ice that you get, it’s really cheap. I get a regular and that more than enough to satisfy your palette. Great place to go for dessert!

This place is awesome!!! If you’re someone that has a lactose problem then you definitely want to try Rita’s Italian Ice. It’s like a cross between a snow cone and ice cream. It just melts in your mouth! Their mango is my favorite! They also have several other mixes where you can mix the Italian Ice w/Ice Cream. I can’t wait for this place to open back up!

First time trying this place and the combination of frozen custard with flavored ice shavings is muy delicioso! I would liken it to Bahama Bucks, but they use actual Blue Bell ice cream instead. I actually prefer the texture of Rita’s. I would definitely go here again.

The last time I had a taste of Rita’s was when I was in Philly and when people started to mention about a Rita’s in Houston I definitely was surprised it was here but am now super stoked! Houston is a hot place so having a fix of their ice or gelati is the way to go. For those that never tried it before, make sure to ask for samples when you’re there. My all-time favorite is the gelati, which is a mix of Italian ice and frozen custard, it has the right kind of sweet and quality is superb!

Yummy in the tummy! I finally was able to come here because my cousin drove. Haha… I fell in love with Rita’s when I was in Philadelphia and in Baltimore that I wanted again and they finally opened one in Houston. I was pretty bumed that they ran out of mango but all of the flavors are great. They have a new flavor which is pumpkin and if you get the custard, it taste like pumpkin pie. yummy! The girl that was helping us was very friendly. This is a another place that I must go to again.

Where has this place been all of my life??? THEBEST frozen custard I have ever had. I NEVER say«hands down». So I won’t say it, but I just typed it. I have tried frozen custard all over town and this place by FAR has got it right. The frozen custard is rich, creamy, and Delicious! with a capital D! The Italian ice they have here is very good as well. I was never into the Italian ice thing but this place has me hooked to it. Do they put crack in here? I dunno but all my money seems to be falling out of my pocket and into the hands of these lovely people here at Rita’s. Service here is great. They are very well mannered and will give you that scoop of ice that you so need in you. Want something sweeter than the ice? get the Delicious frozen custard and be prepared to be kicked in the mouth by it.

OMG. I am so obsessed with this place! Also, super upset that it has been open since the beginning of this year, 5 minutes away from my parents house, and I just discovered it. When I came on a Sunday afternoon, there was not another customer in sight. Usually, this scares me, but perhaps I was the only fat kid with a sweet tooth at 5pm on a Sunday… The two workers there were attentive and generous with samples. Several times my beau and I shared a tasting not realizing they were setting up decadent samples for each of us. Onto the good stuff… the gelati! We shared a large gelati – half mango and half green apple. It is topped and… bottomed(?) with the most AMAZINGEST custard. This custard tastes like super cold fresh whipped cream. TODIEFOR! I don’t think I’ve ever had anything like this! Coupled with the soft but dense ice, it is perfecto! The best thing is that it isn’t overly sweet. The custard and ice make the best combination and you don’t feel like you’re cheating on your diet… even though you are. ;) Get here. NOW!

YAYYAYYAY! I LOVERITAS! I really love italian ice, and I’m so glad that there’s a rita’s somewhat close by. They change up their flavors every day it seems, and they offer a sugar free option as well. I’m obsessed with the red sour patch kids flavor, sweet and tart! Could be a bit more firm, but aside from that, this place is awesome. Clean inside, seating inside and outside, and everyone is helpful and friendly here.

RITAS!!! Rita’s is a staple where I’m from. Anyone who knows me, know it takes something special for me to leave the loop(crawfish when it’s out of season, my hair stylist, a Backstreet Boys concert), but I happily made the trek over here. It is very exciting that Rita’s are coming closer and closer to the loop.(Locally, the closest when I moved was Galveston, then Katy, Magnolia, but now Jones Rd!) Anyhow, for those who aren’t familiar, water ice is what it’s called. It’s not a slushy or a snow cone. It’s delicious and hard to come by around these here parts. It’s not like the Italian ice you’d find in the frozen foods section of the grocery store. They also have custard. If you get custard+water ice, it’s a gelati. Very good. My personal favorite is custard+water ice, blended=Misto. I always debate between mango and cotton candy. It’s hard to put the tastiness into words, so I say to you, TRYITNOW!

«Like a dreamsicle, but way better.»(That’s the tagline that my bf suggested for this review). But seriously, it’s so tasty! We got a gellati(not sure about the name, but it was custard, ice, custard) with mango ice and vanilla custard. Service was very friendly and helpful(samples galore!), especially since it was our first time there. Our order was packed to the top and then topped with a ton of custard. The texture of the ice is awesome, and the creaminess of the custard really mellows the flavors out. My bf, who usually dislikes cold and sweets(weirdo, right?), loved this. The ice and custard definitely stand alone, but together, that’s the dream team. Definitely coming back!

I’ve always loved this place from Philadelphia to the one in Galveston. Obviously both locations are far but I’m so happy they opened up here in the NW/Jersey Village area. This Rita’s is in the HEB shopping center next to the UPS store. I got cotton candy. The ice was super smooth and the flavor was light. I know where all my money is going to go now.

Don’t let having worked for the government fool you Art is as customer service oriented as it gets and it shows through their employees. Truly a small town ice cream shop very welcoming to all that enter. It’s a frequent staple for me and my family.
