The Sabine promenade is a small greenspace and walking/biking pathway that stretches from Downtown/45 area to Sabine Street Bridge. It basically sits right in front of Sabine Street Lofts. What makes it so special in my eyes it its convenience. Lot H — the free city lot — is practically connected to it, so parking and checking out Buffalo Bayou Park is a breeze. You can hike your way to Wortham Center, the Bubbly or Sesquicentennial Park, access the canoe and kayak launch, or make way to the Hobby Center using the pedestrian bridge. Plus, there’s port-o-potties in the Lot H, the occasional mounted HPD patrol strolling along this trail; you’ll find benches, hills… Typical events that happen there include the Bayou Buddies Bash, Bombshell Bootcamp, and some guy playing with his drone. Tex likes him. They used to show films on the Bayou and you could sit hillside and enjoy the scenic view, but they haven’t hosted that event in yearrrrrrrrs.

I love this area! There are so many events always happening in this little stretch. I enjoy taking my bike on the newly paved trails. It’s a lot of fun to ride along the bayou and be shaded on flat new trails. Many attributes that cannot be found anywhere else in town!
