I must have over sensitive freakish taste buds because I don’t taste what others that have given this place 5 Stars taste. I love salads so my sister and I stopped here for lunch after reading my fellow Unilocalers reviews. This is a salad place that doesn’t have much more variety of ingredients than the HEB salad bar. Disappointing! All of the ingredients were fresh but for $ 10 a salad I thought I would want to eat here often and wouldn’t have to get the same 5 ingredients every time. The salad dressing choices were a joke without the laughter. If you are worried that you won’t be able to choose your dressing because there are so many yummy options, you are safe here. It’s like having a bunch of dressing in you refrigerator that other family members like but you are all out of your dressing favorites so you have to settle for what’s left on the refrigerator door. I thought this place would be like a Salad Works a popular salad place in the East. Not even close. Don’t believe me? Google them and check out the menu of unique salads they have and all the ingredients they have for make your own. They have dressing favorites and a bunch of unique dressings. If there is a salad place like this please share! Don’t even get me started on the brick they call a roll. Service was good no complaints there. Would I go back? Ahhh nope! I’ll just try another salad place or go to the HEB salad bar.

Very good light lunch option. Quick and customize-able, so it you don’t like it, it is no one’s fault but your own.

This was my very first experience here. I loved it! I had a small salad and a cup of broccoli soup everything seemed very fresh! A lot of variety ! The only complaint I would say was I had to search for napkins. But besides that ! Very good ! Great price !

I don’t really like the salads here at this location. The chicken comes out cold and the employees aren’t friendly. They stand there and stare at you with blank expressions and whenever they look like they have life in them they just look bored or angry. The ingredients are fresh and finely cut/chopped, but when everything is placed together, it’s just cold and the pesto chicken is not as flavorful as other Salata locations. I also noticed that the buttermilk ranch is not as creamy and it’s a bit watery compared to other locations as well. I might stick to the other locations or just go elsewhere if I’m craving for some greens. It’s just not worth the price to get sub-par flavored salads.

Solo I go here on and off. They have good salads, a little pricey. It’s quick, clean. But last time I was here, they ran out of their main lettuce, that’s right a salad place that ran out of salad. We asked the employees a few times if they were sure they would not get in more, they said only spinach kale and spring mix. By the time we got to checkout someone was bringing lettuce. Lied to us, and I was annoyed as can be. May or may not come back.

Whether grabbing my salad to go or eating with friends, I eat at the Vintage Salata at least once or twice a week. The food is always very fresh and they offer a wide variety of ingredients. Overall, the food is about as good as a salad can be. HOWEVER, I have two major complaints. 1) It’s FREEZING year round inside the restaurant. Eating inside often requires a parka, mittens, and a scarf… even in JULY. Clearly, they want to get people in and out as fast as possible. I understand why they want to turn tables during the busiest time of day, but the sub freezing temperatures in the restaurant takes this tactic to a whole new(low) level. 2) The women making the salads remind me of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. They are generally unpleasant and try to get away with giving you as little salad and toppings as possible. One time they put THREE peas on my salad. THREE. For an $ 8 salad can’t I at least have 5 peas? If you ask for more items the response is usually an eye roll and a reluctant grab for two more broccoli florets or a few sprouts. No More Salad for You. The above experience seems to be unique to the Vintage location as I have been to two other Salatas where the temperature was comfortable and the salads generously and cheerfully made. With all of the new restaurants popping up in the area perhaps management should reevaluate the way they treat their customers.

Meh. It was ok. It was busy and they cattle hearded everyone down the line, we were all squished to the point that the employees couldn’t figure out which salad belonged to which person. It was all very rushed. That being said, lots of good choices and variety. It’s easy to personalize what you’d like to eat. Bottom line, it’ Subway, just with salads. Not a place I’ll go out of my way for, but if i’m hungry and and the area…

This is a great salad! I come here often and am never disappointed. Very fresh, great selection, very generous portions. The teas are good too. They offer $ 1 off for school employees with a badge.

Nice clean environment… there may be a line, however, it moves pretty quick. The only thing I wish they would not do is scrimp on the portions… I mean it’s salad… and I’m not speaking of the proteins(if you add them). For instance, if I’m paying 12.00 for a salad and I ask for mushrooms… please don’t give me the side eye as if it is a bother to put FIVE more on my greens… other than that, no complaints. Clean and tidy always get my vote.

Deliciously fresh! Every topping you can think of plus bread. You can also choose between 6 – 8 different proteins and 3 soups to go with your salad.

Two of the women who were serving looked unhappy to be there and gave an attitude. I wish I knew this one woman’s name because she was the most unpleasant and it felt really awkward. She was the same one who put a bunch of salad mix into my bowl and then realized she put a little too much of the salad mix(i didn’t think it was too much) so she took some of it back out of my bowl. I really wish I had asked her what her name was. Anyways, I ordered a salad with falafels in it and they only give 2 falafels pieces which they break apart with their tongs to created«pieces» of falafal. There wasn’t even enough falafel pieces and it seemed like they were really cheaping out and trying to put the most minimum of everything. Overall the salad was delicious but I don’t think I will be coming back here. My friends didn’t really like the experience either.

I love coming by here. I know everything is fresh. It’s very clean inside and I leave feeling full and content knowing I didn’t fill up on junk. I would definitely recommend this place!

My new favorite place for a healthy wraps! My better half had been talking up this place for some time but I was skeptical — not because of the food but having to make my own salad. I’ve always liked my salads pre-made — meaning that the ingredients are selected to go with one another and a complimentary dressing. The first time I went I wasn’t too pleased on my choices; but, he introduced me to their wraps, and now I’m hooked! The ingredients are so fresh — I’ve yet to see anything that is wilted or days old. The salad table is vibrant with colors and so many proteins and dressings to choose from. I’ve been ordering the same wrap every time I go, and the taste and ingredients are consistent each time — spring mix, extra cilantro, chipotle ranch, shrimp, crab in a wheat tortilla — mm-mm– good! Always greeted with a friendly face the restaurant is spotless and an enjoyable experience all the time!

The wraps are good. I like stopping by for a fresh, Mediterranean wrap from time to time, and the pita chips are always a plus. The staff at this location can at times be hit or miss. On a couple of occasions, especially when it is slow, we have felt rushed to eat our meal. The staff will put up chairs way before it is time to close. It just doesn’t feel welcoming. I understand that employees would like to leave right after closing — just don’t make the customers feel like they have to leave early. I do recommend their food because it is good and will come back again to give them another chance.

A satisfying salad bar that fills you up without filling you over. Perfect for a healthy lunch to get you through the afternoon. Very happy with the freshness, tastiness, and sizes of the salads here. As a health-conscious herbivore, I could probably eat this every single day with no complaints! For a base $ 8, you build your own salad with a plethora of veggies, fruits, dressings, proteins($ 3 extra, for meats or seafood or vegan tofu, falafels, or quinoa), and other add-ins. I especially enjoyed adding alfalfa sprouts. And their lemon vinaigrette is soooo good! Toasted bread is included with the order. If you’re not feeling salad, they also do wraps and soups. OH another nifty thing is that if you get their salad to-go, the disposable utensils are silvery and fun to use. :)

Salata, good salads! Dressing made fresh daily is the best! Good customer service. Every time we come there is a line, however it’s always moving. I’ve always gotten the salads, I believe they do have wraps in which I may the next time we go.

I come here frequently. I have to say that the staff becomes more frustrating everyday. The entire staff is just not friendly. Not just kinda unfriendly, but borderline rude. I asked for some dressing and they took half a ladle of dressing and plopped it on the salad. I asked for a little more and she rolled her eyes and said it would cost extra. As if a $ 10 salad isn’t enough, now I have to pay for more dressing. Just silly first world problems, I know.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at Salata. This place has sprouted all over Houston. My boyfriend has been dying to go there but I haven’t been too interested. Everytime we pass one, which seems like all the freaking time, he always comments on how he wants to go there. I couldn’t have cared less. I’ve never enjoyed salad as a meal. It always been a side or an appetizer and mostly to help me feel less guilty about indulging in whatever fattie-friendly food I’ve ordered. But I guess in relationships you have to compromise sometime or so I’m told. The set up is pretty straightforward. You can get either a salad or a salad wrap and there are two choices of sizes for the salad. I went with the small salad which was a good helping and enough for me. Then there are the 3928773 choices and the kicker is… there are NO labels. So unless you know what most things look like, you’re on your own. Of course the veggies are straightforward but they have things like chickpeas and jicama. I would have never known how to spot a chickpea until I googled a hummus recipe. And what the eff is jicama? All these more enlightened people than me kept adding it to their salad. Next you get to pick your dressing. They have quite a selection. Luckily, they have taster spoons before you commit to one. I went with the herb vinaigrette and so glad I did! After your dressing, you get your choice of protein. There are variety of chicken offerings from chipotle chicken, bbq, and pesto. There’s also baked salmon, shrimp, and crab meat. I went to the worlds smallest piece of salmon. Then more decisions! You get a choice of bread. Then there’s soup. When I went there was cream of broccoli, tortilla, and tomato basil. I went with a cup of cream of broccoli and it was fantastic! I’m always down for broccoli soup that isn’t doused in cheese sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed my salad, cleaned house, and did not feel bad doing so!

Been here several times on various trips to Cypress. Always impressed by the quality and healthiness of the place. Good variety of toppings etc. If you don’t like the salad, blame the person in the mirror.
