I’m not sure why there are so many poor reviews. My experience with this place was excellent. The food was excellent. If you want a great burger this is a great place. The service was excellent. We were even invited to play bingo with other families for family night. My husband and I both left very pleased.

Visited this Florida — based burger chain when vintage park first opened. Was very excited to hear there was a location in Texas after reading good things about it in various burger threads and such. I came on a Saturday and found the interior similar to Johnny Rockets, even the burgers tasted similar to me. I ordered the 20oz burger, with fries and a chocolate shake. I was expecting a delicious burger experience with cheese oozing everywhere, but instead was underwhelmed. The beef is fresh never frozen, but it just wasn’t the mom and pop style greasy burgers that I prefer. The prices were a bit on the high side as well. Doubt I will ever be back.

Horrible customer service. Food was subpar, we ordered loaded fries and a pair of milkshakes, they brought out regular fries instead. We had to ask them to take it back and add chili and cheese to it. They didn’t even bother with the jalapenos. Worst of all the waitress there didn’t even greet us or say goodbye after we left. She just kept on prodding us about ordering and if we were done eating so she could give us the check. Not the way to treat a customer.

My daughter and 2 friends ate this establishment yesterday all 3 are sick now. My daughter has been vomiting and has severe stomach pain, we won’t be coming here again.

I’ll keep this simple, service is really bad and the food is worse! No seasoning on the hamburger meat at all. Very bland . At least I know where not to come. Save your money… McDonalds burger is better than this and I am no fan of McDonalds.

Our first time eating Cheeburger Cheeburger, and we will probably go back a second time. Overall good was pretty good. Fries were kinda soggy but that’s how I like them so yum yum. Onion rings were big and the kind of batter we like. Burgers were thicker than I prefer and smaller than the bun, but tasted good. I took advice of other reviewers and ordered medium so I’d have medium well — was spot on advice, had just light pink throughout. Why only 3 stars? Service was as shoddy as others have said. My husband was not impressed with the lacking service at all. We took our order to go so when we got home we found out none of our paid for extras(bacon, sautéed onions, sautéed mushrooms) were on our burgers. Bummer. We called and told them, they ended up refunding the meal which was above average response. So, 3 stars and we plan to go back at some point.

Again I really do enjoy the food. However the area behind the bar where shakes are made needed some attention.

Well i finally wanted to try cheeseburger cheeseburger after the mixed reviews i’ve received, and honestly the reviews of terrible burgers was correct. I got the salmon burger and it tasted as if they got it from the frozen section in a grocery store. The service was maybe a C– took forever for our drinks and to be seated. I defiantly will not be returning. Only thing i would say was an A+ was there fried mac and cheese. And that’s not enough to return. I love trying out new burger places close to home and this sadly. was not a good experience.

Mediocre food. My entire family tried a different burger each and we all agreed that the food wasn’t that great. I would say average. I don’t recommend this place.

Allergy Alert! They fry in peanut oil. ****didn’t get a chance to eat here, so I can’t give/withhold stars. I did 3 just from customer service experience.

Sigh. What can I say, I would say I was disappointed but I already didn’t have much expectations for this place. so I guess I’m more upset at myself for wasting my time and money. I wouldn’t recommend this plae at all. My burger was gross. The onion ring inside of it tasted so stale and hard I was like what am I eating!

Being in a really good mood, and out on the town with my husband, we tried Cheeburger Cheeburger. And we are glad we did. The server was friendly and attentive. The décor was classic’ 50s-‘60s. The music was classic rock from my childhood. Really had a great time. Now for the food… good burgers, 100% Angus beef. All of the toppings are fresh and ample. I would have liked to have a bit more guacamole. That’s why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. For $.99 I expect at least a tablespoon of guacamole. I will come back. I want to try their fried pickles, and order a milkshake.

Pretty cheap and exotic toppings. Their medium well patties are a bit dry, I advise a medium.

Better that stake and shake! Sweet potato fries and marshmallow sauce is a great combo! Plus the Oreo cheesecake is also my favorite shake! :) wouldn’t mind going back!

Food is awesome. Tastes homemade like how I make my burgers and fries. I love that the drinks come in mason jars. It gives it a little bit of a country feel. The atmosphere is bright and colorful and takes you back in time. Service is a little slow today but we are chilling out, so it’s not that bad! Overall had a great first experience here and will e back to brig my husband.

Unfortunately service was slow on a Friday lunch. Had a salmon burger but it was mushy and no flavor. I optd’ to add guacamole for a small extra charge but was disappointed to see the smallest dollop. Not worth the extra 45 – 50 cents. Soggy fries which are extra. I gave it 2 stars because the Oreo cheesecake shake was awesome.

I hope this place shuts down and they open a Johnny Rockets/Grub in its place. Ok that came out strong… here’s why. It’s got a lovely setup, excellent location, food is beyond sub-par. Had 3 experiences over 2 yr period so view is not a 1 off. 1. Hot food tastes better. How does a «made to order burger» come out lukewarm.consistently. 2. Use good ingredients — chili fries have the garbage canned theme park nacho cheese. As well chili tastes canned AND watered down. 3. Service is horrible. If I have to ask you where my food is, why my food is wrong, why my food is cold, where the check is(twice)…you don’t understand service Summary: I love burgers. This place made me not love burgers.

This place may be a step up from steak and shake; if not the same. I haven’t tried their shakes here and I more than likely will not. I’m not going to say this is a terrible place, but the food, the service, and the management probably have issues here. The only nice thing I can say about this place is maybe the cleanliness and all the fun décor they have all over the place. I had wrote a review a year ago, while sitting there after finishing my food, but it mysteriously disappeared a long time ago. I had it all detailed and step by step of the moment I walked in, my experience with my food and my gf’s food, the service we received, and to the moment we finished. Maybe it got«filtered», who knows. I am too reluctant to come back because of the bad attitude service we received. The people working here did not seem like they wanted to be there. I hope they know, that there is a door and they can leave any time they want. Maybe they are all gone by now. Maybe not. My review is based on my experience from about a year ago. We walk in the door and see a few people just walking around(probably working or probably not). There were no customers. Just one old couple who finished their food. The servers all looked like high school girls or something that got«hooked» up with a job there. Not a single one of them acknowledged my girlfriend and I. We stood there for a good two minutes until someone from the back walked out and took them a minute to greet us as well as they were walking out. Already a bad vibe. I wondered why the place was empty, until my mind was falsely put at ease seeing other people come in after us but it was only 2 other small groups of people. Being a burger joint, we naturally order a couple of burgers with fries, some appetizer I forget which it was since it was so long ago. The food, slapped or slopped together whatever you want to call it. The buns tasted stale, the patties were just oily and small. I don’t know what it was but, I was not satisfied with the burgers. But they did taste a tiny bit better than Steak & Shake(I think). Our french fries even tasted stale. Service, at first we got our order and then then the waitress never seemed to reappear after that. I think they were having a staff meeting going on, but it didn’t last that long. The servers kept grouping up to «hang out» and just talk among themselves. We kept needing refills and napkins because it was so oily but never got any service. Throughout the whole time, I couldn’t tell who the manager was, because I am guessing I never saw him or her. I had to apologize for taking my girlfriend here for lunch as she herself is not much of a burger fan like I am. Let’s see if this time this review mysteriously disappears.

If you are not a retro/50’s style diner person this place will grate on your nerves pretty quickly. It’s THAT type of place: with 50’s and 60’s music and Grandma’s padded stainless steel legged chairs and Elvis stuff on the walls. B-U-T … if you are a fan of a great burger and some pretty damn good fried pickles and fries then you’d better go check it out. Pick your burger size — quarter, third, half pound or bigger! Pick how you want the meat cooked — go as rare as they’ll let you because my medium was pretty well done. Pick your bun — gluten free is available. Add some cheese — Swiss, American, cheddar, jalapeño jack etc. And then the toppings! There must have been 20 or 30 from which to choose. Your basics like lettuce, mayo, onion, jalapenos etc. AND then some cool stuff like honey mustard, Grey Poupon, peanut butter! All these are free with your burger. You can add some premium toppings like bacon, mushrooms or sauteed onions for a little bit more. I don’t recommend you get too crazy on the toppings because they do come out pretty plentiful on the burger. I had lettuce, Grey Poupon, onion, mayo, jalapeño and salsa on the side and it was almost too much to get the big mouth around. Still being able to invent your own taste medley works for me! The fried pickles were very tasty. Not too breaded, not greasy at all. It was the slices and not the spears but they dipped into the jalapeño cream dip we chose. They had several dips to choose. And we got a medium order of fries for the three of us. They were seasoned well and crispy enough to stand up to a good dunk of ketchup! Free soda refills were nice. They have only Pepsi products. We all got outta there for about $ 40 total. It was a bit steep for a burger but I’d put the taste of the all natural angus beef patty up against the more expensive Burger Guys or The Counter any day. Salmon and veggie burgers, salads, invent your own shake flavor, wraps and some pretty heart exploding looking ice cream desserts — none of which I tried on this visit — are also on the menu. This place is not far from my Godson’s house and I’m sure we’ll go back. How fun to construct your own personal burger every time!

Let us just start from the beginning. My friend Kendall and I went there on a Sunday night, it was pretty quiet. We stood at the reception desk for a moment waiting for someone to take us to the tables. Finally someone came over and she tried to take us to this weird table in the middle of the restaurant but i wanted to sit in a booth. Usually those people should ask what you want to sit in… Anyways, my friend and I look at the menu and tell each other what we want. Our waitress Vanessa comes over and introduces herself. We start to order and I say I want a Classic burger, on a kaiser roll, with Cheddar cheese, bacon, light mayo, sautéed onions, made medium well and a Birthday cake shake. My friend orders and I saw that it was .99 cents for the sautéed onions. Stupid. So I ask if I can get it changed to regular onions. No problem. So my friend and I each order a small basket of fries. She kindly says to us that she can make it a medium basket and split it between checks. My friend and I had no problem with that! So our waitress literally goes to the back and starts complaining how«complicated my order was» and was mocking my voice and sneering at me and how I was begging for the fries to be split… Uh weren’t YOU the one who offered it… I was extremely mad. I said my please and thank you’s. I had no problems with her. She was totally bagging on us. And we could clearly hear her. Long story short, the food was NOT even that great, service was extremely bad, and I hope to tell everyone that the place SUCKS. Go to Jax burgers fries n shakes. Tasty burgers and outstanding service.
