How this location is even open is beyond me. My burger was a POS. NEVER going back there. I would give no stars if this app allowed that.

I saw the lower reviews, but did not want to go sit down and eat at another restaurant… in a hurry. The employee that helped me in the drive through was pleasant. The line was long, but it moved quickly. The burger was OK, but the poppers were a «mixed» bunch. Four tasted like they were sitting for a long while, but two were good. The poppers were shown with a dipping sauce, but mine did not come with anything at all.

Would give them zero stars if we could. Cannot follow simple instructions on what we want on our burgers then proceed to serve us cold and hard burgers. Avoid this location!

This place is overrated! #NeverEatinghereagain I took my daughter to eat here one night. There was only one other person there eating. Well girl taking order looked just a Hotmess. I could see 2 food preparers in back. I orderd this Specialty burger that had Bleu Cheese and Crispy onion rings. My daughter a kids burger. We got order and my burger no Bleu Cheese. and about half of an Onion ring! My daughter’s burger full of onions! Really! They remade but seriously Dont have time for that. For this Area(Vintage Park) I woulda thought service be better!

I’ve been there several times and they have not yet gotten my order right. I would recommend going to a different location such as the the one on Ella near 610.

My review might be biased since the first time I tried Carl’s Jr burger was in the top-selling location in North America, located in Monterrey, Mexico. And finding out recently that here in Houston they started opening Carl’s Jr was such great news! I would consider them 4.5 since compared to the Mexican locations, the ones here do not have an «all-you-can-add» salad bar so you can dress your burger as you like with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, jalapeños, etc(like the ones they have at Fuddrucker’s) but the flavor of these burgers are worth enough. I’ve been in this location twice with my mother, since it is the only kind of burger she prefers. Definitely worth checking them!

Very very poor hygiene at this place. The cook in the back had no plastic gloves on. He was scratching his hair and flicking his nose. All the while cooking, reaching into the cooler grabbing things and just throwing the food around. Beyond that. The back door was wide open and 3 of the workers were out by the dumpster smoking pot. You could smell it. When they saw people watching them. They went into the dumpster area and hide. This place used to be good. Over the few tears it’s been open it has gone down fast. Do yourself a favor and keep going.

Men’s restroom door opened, cook walked out as toilet was still flushing. He got behind the counter, clocked in and got right on the line to cook. I left.

When Carl’s Jr first came to Houston, I remember lots of my coworkers making a fuss about how awesome it is and how delicious their food is. I’ve given it 3 tries and I’m just not a fan. I don’t like the taste of the meat in their burgers. On my 3 visits I’ve tried their guacamole burger, their all natural burger, and a chicken salad. All 3 times I wasn’t at all impressed. I don’t think I’ll be returning anymore, it’s just not something I can enjoy.

Excellent customer service from drive thru cashier, Monterose. Extra carbonated beverages which, for me, is a definite plus! The food took a longer than McDonald’s but not as long as taco cabana. The fried zucchini pieces were hit and miss. Fries were good but not at hot as I would have preferred. The chargrilled chicken club sandwich looked terrible but tasted absolutely delicious! For a fast good burger joint, I’d give this a 4 out of 5 experience.

If you enjoy not being waited on, and listening to an employee 3 feet in front of you gripe and moan about the next day’s schedule, go check this place out! Unbelievable, I know. I had never been to a Carl’s Jr before, but as a kid I grew up eating at Hardee’s up north, and happened to be passing by this Carl’s at a moment that I was REALLY hungry. The thought of re-living that«charbroiled» burger I loved as a kid was too hard to let go of, so I pulled in, and was ready to try Carl’s for the first time. No other customers were at the counter. A young woman was behind the counter and made eye contact with me(however did not utter a word, nor smile). Could have been that she didn’t have much time to, because a co-worker suddenly appeared from the kitchen area asking loudly«Did you see the schedule for tomorrow?» and immersed the employee I assumed was considering talking to me(one can hope) into the trials and tribulations of the next days schedule, specifically that no one was slotted for the 3 pm shift, and I quote…“That’s BS”…only the BS part was fully pronounced. Again, right at the counter where I was standing ready to order. I watched both of them as I slowly walked away, thinking that one or both of them might possibly notice my impending departure and put the atrocity that was the next day’s schedule on hold long enough to take my order and my money. Nope. They didn’t notice at all. Now in my car, I get on my phone, look up their #, and call and ask for a Manager. I get James, who states he was the shift leader on duty. Matter of factly, I inform James of my experience. The tone of indifference in his voice could not have been any clearer. «Yeah, I heard that too, sorry about that, I’ll be talking to her later». Just not the level of concern I wish he would have shown. I did tell him I had just left. Perhaps he could have apologized with a little more sincerity and offered to assist me personally if I came right back? Naw. Oh well, I tried to check out Carl’s Jr. Too bad it will be the first and last time.

Waited over twenty minutes for three items of to go food, and I ordered inside and paid so it’s not like I could just drive off. When I talked to a manager about it, he just shrugged and said they got slammed. Well, if you knew you were slammed, you should have at least warned customers before they order how long the wait time is. The«fast» when belonging in the fast food category is kinda a big deal. He should have at least given us a discount or comped the meal. The food was actually decent, but no thanks to the slow service!

Best fast food burger around! Love Carl’s Jr! Try the fried zucchini, it’s the best!

When I feel the need for BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese and Angus beef, I go to Carl’s Jr. And then I feel like I need to run the next day, for about an hour(maybe two if I got a large criss-cut fries). It’s a guilty pleasure, and when I feel like I need to load up, I slowly head through the drive-thru and ask for the Western Bacon Cheeseburger. I don’t come here because it’s healthy; I come here because I’m hungry.

I think I’ve finally come full circle in terms of trying all the fast food burger places in town. Sooo, my verdict is that I’d put Carl’s Jr in the same category as McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Steak ‘n Shake, etc. Well duh, you might say. But the reason I specifically list those few places is because it does not join the ranks of Five Guys, Smashburger or In-N-Out. I’m not saying that to be a burger snob, it’s just a different type of burger. I tried their Big Carl burger(with onions added) and fries. It was a decent burger, and I appreciate the different sauce, but in the end, it was just another fast food burger. Not remarkable, but still pretty solid.
