Go here on a regular basis. Like the location, food is always good. Kind of off-putting to walk in and see two employees almost making out with each other while either on break, or waiting to clock in. Nobody wants to see that! Just my two cents.

Been about 5 times to this location, never again. First time was great, food, service both well done. Second time, just my daughter and I, they bring my food and nothing for her. Turns out they lost her order, so while I wait for her to be served, my food gets cold. For the trouble we got a ‘sorry about that’… Moving on, my other kids did like it from the first experience and wanted to go to Smashburger, this time we were near the location on 290 and Rosehill, food was great, service was great. A few weeks later we’re back near the Louetta location, this time they forgot one of my kid’s meals, served me the wrong food completely and half the table’s food came out around 5 minutes before the rest. They also forgot the fries on one of the plates, which meant we were gong to be waiting while they dropped another order of them in the fryer. Don’t you love having the fries arrive after you finish your burger? It was the manager that took our order and he was clueless as to how enter the orders into the touchscreen system. Then he has the nerve to come back and tell me he forgot to charge me for the fries he forgot in the initial order. What a clown. Never again I said, well a couple of months later we’re with the grandparents and the kids want Smashburger, the grandparents ask if I’d be willing to give it one more shot, my mistake. The place is still a circus, cooks talking in the back while orders come out wrong and missing things. Incompetent manager can’t get the order right and it wasn’t just my table, they brought us half of a nearby table’s order. Steer clear, there are other locations open now that are fairly close to this one.

Ordered classic cheese burger plain and dry and cashier couldnt figure out how to enter order in point of sales system, then said she would tell kitchen. Order came out from kitchen after nearly 20 minute wait with all condiments. Burgers were not good, fries tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp. Poor quality, poor service. Will think hard before returning to this location.

Not in any hurry to revisit this store. Wasn’t impressed the last time I visited and probably won’t go back after witnessing employees in uniform buying and drinking 40 oz bottles of beer from the local gas station at 11:30 am

I don’t go here enough and I don’t «check in» here enough when I do make it. Great burgers! Originally went to smashburger in CO before Unilocal days. Favorite burger is the bbq bacon love the onion haystacks on the burger!

Very unorganized, ordered something online and it wasn’t ready until 45 mins after it was scheduled to be. Wouldn’t recommended coming to this location during peak times, or maybe at all.

Smashburger is always a reliable place to get a good quality burger — don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed with a hamburger there, and I’ve tried various varieties and locations. On a recent visit, the only disappointment was the backup at the ordering counter — for whatever reason, took forever to get through that process. However, my Classic Smash and SmashFries was quite yummy(BTW, interesting that the Texas Burger is over $ 1 more than the Classic Smash, yet the only difference appears to be swapping their SmashSauce for mustard. Sounds like a ripoff, o SmashLords…

I ordered the truffle Swiss burger. The meat was crunchy it. So I ordered another one, the staff member apologized and was professional. When the guy brought my second burger it was still over done and then bun was burnt. The Buffulo fries and regular fries were amazing though.

The food was good but we had a few issues(paid for bacon and avocado) and the slivers were minuscule. We called the«manager» over and informed her. She just stared at us and said she didn’t see anything wrong with it. For the prices they should offer better service.

Burgers are still very good, but the lady taking my order needed to bone up on customer service. She stood at the register and said nothing. I felt odd going ahead with my order when I wasn’t even sure she was ready to take it. She finally smiled at the end of our transaction. A li’l disappointed they are using the plastic wrapped processed cheese food product instead of real cheese. Still, it was a good burger.

As a broke college student I decided to treat my boyfriend and I to smash burger even though I only had about 20 dollars left in my wallet. As we walked in we looked at the menu and waited for our turn to tell the older woman at the register what we would like. Before we could even say anything she tells us to ‘wait a second’ and was just kind of rude throughout the whole ordeal. I also asked if I could substitute fries for fried pickles before we paid and she said that I couldn’t because she had already sent the order in(which I call bull on). Then once we get our food it turns out she hadn’t even rung up my fries in the first place so I ended up just sharing with my man because I didn’t even want to bother having to ask for more. Burger was sloppy. Definitely won’t be coming back

I like SmashBurger, but this location is really subpar. We visited at 2:15PM on a Sunday and waited 30 minutes for burgers. They seemed to be short staffed. The problem is that they told all the people who came in after us that it would be at least a 30 minutes wait for a burger. When they brought ours, I asked why they didn’t warn us. The young lady said they had been, but the manager took our order so he wasn’t telling people. Even once we got our food, it was terrible. My burger was overcooked. My daughter’s was tiny and smaller than a normal portion. My SmashFries were undercooked and cold without much seasoning. My daughter’s regular fries were all about half an inch long and were clearly he bottom of whatever they take them from. They also brought us our two burgers from the same order 10 minutes apart. One was 25 minutes and the other 35 minutes. I averaged to 30. Problems can occur, but I don’t appreciate the lie by omission of the manager. It seems really dishonest to not tell us that they are having issues and cannot serve us in a timely manner. The place was also worn and dirty. Some of the mess was from being short staffed with food all over the floors, but the reset was poor maintenance with worn booths. Try another SmashBurger elsewhere.

It’s hard finding a good, truffle burger. This place is nearby and can fill that craving. It’s obviously not the best burger in town, but I have never been disappointed. Good, clean, pleasant place. Also, is great that there are a variety of side options, like fries/shakes. Thanks, Smash! *nom nom nom*

Smash burger is my new favorite burger. Had one with my Son in Nebraska one time but never had another until moving to Houston. This location follows the same theme as the others, it’s very clean and service is fast and efficient. The burgers are pure heaven. I get the Texas burger with a fried egg on top. Simply fantastic! Great beef flavor, richness of the egg and the sharp taste of mustard work together to make a perfect burger. The sandwich will fit in your mouth without much trouble. The burger does not fall apart and eats well. It is my favorite place right now, even above the speciality burger places.

I’m a pretty big fan of Smash Burger, but it’s nothing special too be honest. I’m just a simple dude which is why I enjoy it a lot! Don’t expect to get pampered here by a bunch of staff because the only time you see them is when you order your food, and when they drop off your food. The reason why they call it Smash Burger is because they do exactly that. They flatten out the patty with a special hamburger«smasher». Big deal… Anyways, I get the BBQ, Bacon, & Cheedar(BBQ sauce, applewood-smoked bacon, hay stack of onion rings on a egg bun) and add a fried egg($ 1 extra) on top, it is absolutely delicious! But the main issue is that it doesn’t fill you up, the burger is pretty small in my opinion. And it doesn’t come with fries(The fries are the bomb). So it’s a little on the pricier side, you spend about $ 10 for a meal(Burger and fries not including a drink). Ultimately, good for small meal! I always go for dessert right after to fill me up! Fairly clean place, never seen it too busy, and nice staff usually… Meant for a quick visit.

They have no fries tonight. The fryer is broken. I ordered the large original burger. I’m waiting. I will update this review after I eat the burger. Cashier looks like a manager, he was friendly and apologized for no fries. The place looked clean. The staff stayed busy. The burger was very good. It was not a health food tofu burger, but it was not soaked in grease as some have experienced. I can live with the frier being down for the day.

I“ve been to 4 other locations. This one is by far the WORST location I have ever been to. My gf and I were here just a few days ago on July 4th. We walk in, a young girl is making shakes or something. She doesn’t bother looking at us and ignores us the whole time she’s just standing there with her backed turned to us. We patiently stand there and wait for about a good 8 minutes thinking she has to concentrate or focus just holding a cup for a machine to extract shakes into it. I assume this takes a lot of concentration and one can not turn their head to acknowledge a new customer. It’s July 4th and the young lady’s name is America. WOW mind = blown. But America doesn’t seem to be representing [America] very well. She starts acting French while talking to my gf and I, giving us an attitude making sure we know that she doesn’t want to be there. I’m sorry America, here in the US of A, we all have jobs and work hard. If you don’t appreciate the job you are at, you have the Freedom to leave. My gf and I were just disappointed with the bad attitude. I already had a feeling that since it’s a chain restaurant workers tend to have low morale. Due to corporations bleeding the life out of everyone. I expected it. What I also expected was the consistency of the food. However, I was unpleasantly surprised. The food still decent enough to eat, was not up to par as the other locations. So, after being scoffed at by America, we look for a clean table. it’s difficult, because they are all ditry. I remember an employee running all over cleaning as soon as we walked by. They must have had a rush of customers come in and leave right before we got there. The gentleman cleaning seemed to be doing a consistent job. Our food comes out delivered by the General Manager himself! How nice, he seemed occupied busy cooking the food, I wonder what happened to the cook staff? I ask him for a side of mayo and he uncomfortably says«yes sir» and then I looked at his face knowing that he would ignore my request. After that he disappeared and never showed up on the dining area again. No one bothered to ask if we were ok and I just thought to myself forget it, and just finish my food and leave. My burger, looked sloppy. I ordered the mushroom swiss. I got three mushroom slices. Where are the rest of them? They went cheap on the bacon as I only got two slices(or maybe was one strip that was broken in half to make it look like two). usually I get my money’s worth. I guess times hard for SmashBurger as they can charge me for bacon but give me less this time. The burger patties are supposed to be «smashed». This one looked half-assed and was dripping with oil. My gf got a crispy chicken sandwich and the meat was really thin and also too salty to her. The only thing we did enjoy and thought was decent was the sweet potato fries. I’m not saying I’m never coming back to SmashBurger. Just not this one.

This is one of those burger chains popping around all over Houston. Burgers are big and juicy with the option of building your own burger. Their smash sauce is super yummy. There’s a choice of bun options including a wheat one, and that is also a chicken option. Smash fries are absolutely delicious, tossed with olive oil, rosemary, and garlic. if you like a lot of flavor, don’t miss out on this! However, when I ordered these to go, there was a greasy pool of oil in the bottom of the container. The guy at the register wasn’t too sharp. My total was $ 12.96, and I handed him $ 23, expecting to get a ten back. He was confused, tried to give me the three ones back, and then thought they were his tip when I didn’t take it back. If you work at a register, you should know how this works! Really though, the kids meal of chicken strips fills me up, though I’m not sure if they let you order this if you are an adult dining in. It’s a whole chicken patty cut in half — not exactly strips, but it is fried goodness with a well seasoned batter.

In and out and 5 guys is better. I have to say the burger was good but slightly greasy but my buddy who came with me says it was overly greasy. Also the smash fries seasoning was very good however the fries were also greasy. The food did come out fast. We ordered two burger, one regular and one large. The regular burger was much larger than the large. So we addressed it to an employee named Amber. Without looking at the«regular» burger to compare she just brushed us off and said the large was actually«large». So we flagged down another employee, Steve. He looked at the burgers and confirmed that they may have made a mistake on sizes of the burgers and quickly took it and fixed it. Cons If the food wasn’t so greasy, Amber the employee wasn’t so disappointing, if there was paper towels were in the bathroom. And if they just got our order right. I would’ve given 5 stars. Pros Food came out fast even though incorrect. Steve is a superb employee and really took care of us. The restaurant is clean and I like the menu.
