This is my new favorite happy hour spot! Went on a Tuesday night, when they had $ 5 delicious sangria all night. Would definitely recommend that plus their pizzas(we got the prosciutto one). The atmosphere of the place is very cozy, as if you’re hanging out in someone’s beautifully-kept house. This place is also perfect if you’re a larger group — they have several areas that have couches/comfy chairs/tables to accommodate a bigger group(i.e. 6 – 8 people).

My family and friends celebrated my sister’s birthday here. Everyone was GREAT and the food was even better. Yeah, parking isn’t that great but we didn’t intend on partying in the street so it didn’t matter. The bartenders and wait staff were superb. There’s literally nothing bad I can say about our time here.

Like Simone specially their private room for small parties ! They make a really good Moscow mule too, I had a good experience every time I went but I have to agree the parking is really complicated.

I’m sad to give this place just 1 star, but here’s why: the service was HORRIBLE!!! One of the worst I’ve ever had. Came here a while ago — Made reservations for 7 pm on a Thursday night for steak night. ½ hr before 7 pm I called to see if we could increase the number by 1 person — they said no which I understand. However, when we arrived there were plenty of open tables unreserved — not sure why they said no then. Bad service because: 1) one of the male bartenders was rude when we inquired about which sides were available that day for steak night. He shrugged his shoulders and said he wasn’t sure and left it at that and didn’t bother to go back to the kitchen to ask. 2) the same male bartender took forever to place our order and get water for our table. I had to get out of my seat twice to go up to the bar where he was and ask for service and that took at least 10 minutes to get his attention because he was too busy doing other things. 3) it took 1 hr for our food to arrive 4) 2 ppl almost had to share a steak because they ran out — i later found out when calling to make a reservation, we could’ve also reserved steak at that time for each guest, but they didn’t tell me that when I made the reservation even though I told them it was for steak night However: 1) the steak was well prepared and seasoned well; sides were a bit undercooked 2) truffle Parmesan popcorn was delicious! 3) the female bartender was waaaaay more polite and helpful So in short, if that male bartender got his act together, might return.

Stellar neighborhood establishment just west of boulevard oaks. We found this place on a whim and loved it. Can’t wait to go back!

My girls and I came here on Thursday for their magnificent steak night. First off let me say PARKINGSUCKS!!! I REPEAT! The website does a semi good job explaining where you can/can’t park but you may opt for street parking to avoid getting towed. Anywho, the restaurant is a little hidden gem in between 2 businesses(hair salons I think). When you walk up its outside seating and also seating inside. Its a great place for couples, girls or hanging out in groups. There’s also bar seating with several TVs. Our server introduced us to a new cocktail with cucumber vodka, which was really good considering I don’t like cucumbers or the smell lol We each ordered the steak Medium-Well and sides of potatoes. You also have the options of asparagus and some other vegetable. The steak was good and the atmosphere was really classy. I would definitely return.

I was only here briefly, but the place has a nice atmosphere and everyone there seemed to be in good spirits. I look forward to going back, perhaps for pizza night!

Great happy hour spot, but I’m knocking off a star for service which was pretty absent. The cheese plates are excellent and the man pizza is tasty-I’m not a man but who doesn’t love some thin crust pizza with chorizo and crispy bacon on top! Although our waitress initially was sweet she seemed to have forgotten we ordered food and I had to physically flag someone down after waiting over half an hour for our appetizers(by going to the bar in which all the wait staff seemed to be congregating-annoying!). But the intimate atmosphere cute décor and great happy hour prices will have me coming back. Oh yea and parking sucks. Thanks to the Unilocal reviewer who posted the Brian White attorney sign-otherwise it would have been easily missed. Oh and try the truffle Parmesan popcorn-better than truffle fries.

I like this little neighborhood bar. Its also bigger than I thought it would be. Its located on Sunset two blocks from Kirby. Its easy to miss, but coming from Kirby its on the left side. I went on a Saturday night. It wasn’t packed, but thats how I like it. We had whatever was the house riesling was and one of the cheese tray.(omg I love a cheese tray) They have an outdoor seating area, a bar and indoor tables as well. The waitress told us that Thursday Night is Steak Night and the place is packed. She says the steaks are delicious. I have not tried them myself. But this really is a good go to neighborhood bar

Excellent venue for parties and get-togethers. We had a birthday party there, and it was fantastic! Emelie(the events manager) had taken care of every little detail and designed a perfect menu that included delicious pizzas, appetizers and wine choices. The service throughout the night was very efficient, well thought out and unobtrusive. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend!

Came here with some friends to chillout on friday night. This atmosphere is very laid back. The bartender was very friendly and offer us custom made drinks that were not on the menu. They were delicious. The food was good. My personal favorite is the truffle popcorn. Can’t go wrong with this place, if you can find it :)

STEAKNIGHTONTHURSDAYS! Came with some friends after work because we’d been craving steak. We heard great reviews about this place and man… They were definitely not wrong! The location is a bit hard to find, it’s on a street that’s lined with houses that have been turned into home businesses. They don’t have a sign that you can see right away(we went at night and almost couldn’t find it at all), so look for a giant black«BRIANWHITEATTORNEY» sign! That’s where the restaurant is. Park there, or across the street at the house with the«additional Simone parking» sign up on their tree. The restaurant itself is really cool! Dim lights, dark atmosphere, candles at every table, menus written in chalk… Kind of has an Austin-hipsterish feel to it. Lots of high table tops with high chairs, lower table seating, and a bar in the middle of the room. There’s a second room attached to the main room as well that has more tables/benches and also a big couch-lounge area, and the patio outside has more seating too. For steak night you can order either a 6oz steak wrapped in bacon, or a 12 oz ribeye. Both come with two sides you don’t really get to pick cuz they’re subject to change each week. The sides that came with ours this time were grilled sweet potato slices and half a grilled onion+vegetables. The onion and veggies were DELICIOUS. Grilled just perfectly and very lightly seasoned. It complemented my rib eye so well! Usually«healthy» doesn’t taste all that great, but these veggies… Man oh man they made healthy so easy to eat! And the ribeye itself was AMAZING. They cooked my medium rare just right, and it didn’t need any A1 sauce at all! My first time eating a steak with no A1 sauce! If you look around, there are paintings of a woman all over the restaurant… Not sure if that’s Simone or not… But I plan to find out when I go back again! This restaurant is definitely a must-try and must-return-to.

The atmosphere: It’s like walking into Secret Garden! The entry way is very welcoming and charming with quaint patio furniture and sprawling vines that embrace the outside area. As you walk in, you are welcomed by the smiling faces of the bartender and host(which I believe may have been the owner!). You can’t help but just smile back! Indoor seating is ample with comfortable couches and tables. The lighting is dim, neither too dark nor bright, which suits the whole«loungey» feel of the establishment. The food: They are known for their STEAKNIGHT and boy oh boy… it’s delicious! What I love about this place is the variety of steak cuts and meats that they offer during steak night on Thursdays. You are able to choose between Ribeye, Filet, and Chicken. The sides offered vary week to week. During my last visit I had the rib eye which was cooked and seasoned to perfection with their STELLAR mashed potatoes(not the kind that comes from a box!!!) I give this place TWOTHUMBS up and will definitely come back! I believe they also have a pretty good happy hour!

Best steak night ever-Thursday nights. Super hip spot. Great management and affordable happy hour. The place was closed for a while, but is now back up and running.

After a satisfying dinner, my best friend and I dropped by Simone on Sunset for a quick drink. She’s been here in the past and swore to me that I would fall in love with this place. And lo and behold, I absolutely did! From the moment I walked in, I loved how beautifully this place was set up. Especially at night, the sultry intimate atmosphere they’ve created. But it’s not a date place exclusively. Seems a perfect spot for a girls night out too. The happy hour is great, especially for the fact it lasts till 8pm! I got the glass of the house Pinot Grigio for only $ 5(bottle $ 15). Unfortunately, I didn’t try any of the food. I’ll definitely be back to try some of the food. Parking is practically non-existent so I recommend carpooling to save some trouble. The service was pretty good… the waitresses were pretty swamped with the amount of people that night, but they seemed to managed. All in all, this is a great spot for drinks, whether it’s with your significant other or a group of friends.

Well dayum. What a cute little spot. We stopped in here for a glass of wine last time I was in town. A glass of wine for me, anyway. A beer for my mom. And a cozy table outside by the honeysuckle, blooming in the spring, breezes blowing, music playing and a hoppin’ scene outside. We saw dates, friends, business deals and other happy hour stayed late groups. It’s a little tricky to find — since it’s in a neighborhood. But once you do, you’ll be impressed with the dark sexy interior, fantastic décor, good service, sassy cocktails, friendly bartenders and reasonably priced beverages. Sadly, we’d already eaten or else we would have taken advantage of steak night. Check their specials before you go – and scoop up some of that truffle popcorn just in case.

Having happy hour that lasts at least until 8 is star-deserving. Having good food AND drink specials is also star-deserving. So is being cute. Simone on Sunset is a place you would drive past everyday, thinking it was just another house in the neighborhood. Once you find it, however, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It’s has a cozy and laid back feel and a great happy hour. $ 15 house bottles of wine? Yes, please! Along with their stable hh items, each day has a different additional special: — Monday: Gourmet Burger Night($ 8 beef, turkey, or boca) — Tuesday: Sangria Night — Wednesday: Pizza Night($ 10 mushroom, goat cheese, or chorizo pizza) — Thursday: Steak Night(Filet $ 20, Ribeye $ 18 or Chicken Breast $ 15) The staff is very nice and friendly, but service does get pretty slow after they initially come talk to you. We were in no rush to leave happiest hour, so it didn’t bother us that much, but from reading other reviews, it seems to be a consistent thing at this establishment.

I loved this place from the moment I walked up to it! My coworkers and I decided to check this place out for a mid-week happy hour. The outdoor patio was so cute! It had just rained and it was super muggy outside, so we decided to sit indoors, but each table was equipped with bug spray to make your dinner more enjoyable! Nice touch! Happy hour has $ 5 glasses of house wine or $ 15 for a bottle. 3 of us split a bottle and each got about 2 glasses a piece, so it was more coat effective that way. I tried the asparagus and asiago tips from the $ 5 happy hour food menu, but it only came with 3 asparagus things, which I didn’t think was worth it. My friend got the truffle Parmesan popcorn WHICHWASAMAZING! The décor and scene were great. I loved the art on the walls, and our service was great! I definitely will go back!

Let me preface by saying I love this place and will be back to visit, however, I think management needs to take theirs guest complaints more seriously This is a very small intimate atmosphere that I think is great for dates or small parties. I used to frequent here on Thursdays on steak/chicken night and this place was so crowded they would run out of chicken before I got there. The grilled chicken is decent/They don’t tell you what veggies come with it or that they are going to bbq on it(I don’t care for BBQ. This particular Thursday night it was not crowded and maybe now I know why it’s not as crowded anymore. Happy hour til 8 everyday. Decent house wine, well specials, buck off beers. Started off very good with Amanda as our server. Now once I finished my glass of wine and had received my food I don’t know where she went off to? Table to my right sat and waited about 10 – 15 minutes. Table to my left caught the bartender who had came out to pour water and placed an order. My wine was empty without her coming back for at least 20 minutes to even check on us So I went to find her. She not at all nicely let me know that anyone could help our table. Anyone who? There was no one else on the patio and aren’t you our server? Table to my left(fellow Unilocalers I found out) go in and ask to talk to manager who they reported kinda laughed and said he would send Amanda out. Table to right left because of ID issue but they did sit there quite a while before anyone came out which was reported to managment. Amanda comes out and tells my fellow Unilocalers, that table was an ID issue just so you know! And a few other inappropiate comments imo. Really? That’s how you come out and talk to your customers when multiiple ones have said you are giving bad service. Bad form Simone. Bad form. Lose 2 stars

What a cute, cute place! I didn’t go for happy hour or late night, so I don’t know what the crowd is like then. I stopped by with a friend on a Sunday early afternoon, after we had just endured several hours of a kiddie bounce house birthday party, and we REALLY needed a drink to decompress. Cue the baby sitters, and we were on our way for a good time. There were only a few other tables occupied, and a few people at the bar, but a surprising number of patrons for a Sunday afternoon. The bartender was super friendly, and the room in the back was very cozy and comfortable. The specialty cocktails were good, and their beer and wine selections were also ample. I can’t wait to come back and try it again!
