If you like overpriced food & stingy servers, Simon’s is the place for you. While the food is acceptable for a food court, it’s way overpriced. The veggie plate is $ 7& you get your choice of 3 veggies. The problem is, the servers are so incredibly stingy with the portions, it’s more like $ 2 worth of food…& they give you attitude if you have the nerve to ask for more. The veggie plate is also supposed to come with a roll, but you have to ask for one at the cash register… they don’t automatically give it to you. If you order meat or fish(super salty) with 2 sides, you get a lot more food for the same price… maybe they hate vegetarians? I will never eat at Simon’s again… the price & the bad attitude is not for me.

An okay option if you don’t feel like getting sandwiches. The quantity of food you get for the price is decent and, even during peak hours, the wait is not too long. The poblano chicken is the only thing I’ve tried, but it is quite tasty. The veggie sides however are not as great — I almost cut through the Styrofoam in trying to cut my broccoli and carrots. However, if you’re a light eater, you can get an entrée + rice and bread for $ 5 — not a bad deal!

You get some good food for your money at Simon’s. My main problem is that Simon’s is cafeteria style with heat lamps. Although Treebeards does well with this style of food delivery, most of the foods at TB are served with a sauce(e.g. etoufee, gumbo…), while Simon’s are not. I had a late lunch with a fish entrée. The fish was tasty, but dry. Good vegetable sides.

Simon’s is located at the Park Shop and is surrounded by many of the usual fast food restaurant that you will find at any mall. This place is a little different from the restaurants you will find in a typical food court. The good thing about Simon’s is that you can pass right in front of the counter and peak at their options through the glass to see if anything pops out at you that you might like. I ordered a Chicken Parmesan entrée which came with 2 sides. There were a few other items that looked quite tasty. I intend to go back and try some of them. My meal cost around $ 8 and it included a drink. Everyone is super nice and attentive while you re ordering.

I work in the downtown Park Shops building and this is one of the places I frequent most. Great value for your buck! The chicken dishes come with 2 sides and a drink for $ 8 and everything here is good! I normally get the lemon chicken with pasta and the ceasar salad(just because I am a dont fix what is not broke kind of girl) but I have tried the chicken parmesan and talapia and both are wonderful. The ladies that work behind the counter are super nice and always friendly.

At a friend’s recommendation I decided to try this place out. I opted to get the salsbury steak with rice, cabbage and yam with ice tea. total came out to exactly 9 bux. I think it was some kind of meal thing. the cabbage tasted fresh and had little pieces of tomato in it. That was a first for me. the yams were soft and and had a good flavor to it. I hate it when the yams have that raw uncooked hardness to them. this time it was good. the salsbury tasted like a lean cuisine salsbury except it tasted real. Psychologically I felt like i was eating a lean cuisine except it was real food. It was ok and the quality was ok it just didn’t blow my mind. I had higher expectations but hey, it was 9 bux and for the same price I feel like i would much rather go to treebeards and get something a bit more tasty and what i consider less healthy. Its just a matter of preference. Nothing to complain about and yet, nothing to brag to your friends either. I’m pretty neutral on this one so i rated it an ok.

As of 11÷4÷10, they’re not closed — not why Unilocal shows them as closed :-) Walking through a random food court after my eye doctor appointment, I was undecided on whether to eat there or back towards my office. The offerings at Simon’s looked really appetizing and they had a large selection. I opted for the lunch special with chicken & chose cajun chicken breast, penne pasta and grilled vegetables(think slices of carrots, red potatoes and zucchini with grill marks), a whole wheat roll and a coke zero. $ 9. Everything was rockin’ — cooked very well with a ton of flavor. Chicken was juicy and spicy, vegetable were awesome and even the simple semolina penne pasta(with chopped parsley) tasted great. (The roll was just a roll, nothing exciting about it.) They also have some fish & beef offerings that also looked good and about 8 vegetable selections. When I got back to my office, a coworker saw what I had, sampled a bit & headed off to Simon’s.
