This location used to be a locally owned liquor store until Spec’s swooped in like the Borg & assimilated it so it’s on the small side… for a Spec’s. But I guess that since there is no other liquor store around, this one will do in a pinch. Because of the limited space, this store’s deli/​food section is a miserable little aisle offering a sad selection of crackers, cheese, olives etc. but they do have a nice selection of wine & liquor! The staff is accomodating & helpful, the location convenient & easy in/​out with limited parking.

I always drive by this location since it’s near City Center but I’d never been in. Looks like an older gas station type feel of a store. However, they had a decent wine selection considering their size. The rest of the selection was pretty standard. The girl didn’t think I was 21 at the counter either which always makes a lady feel nice. The location makes it easy to stop in then jump back on the Beltway.

Wouldn’t know if their wine is good. No one could point out a good bottle. Is this really a reputable wine shop? I do question.

Small location but conveniently and close to my home. I typically can get in and out with ease. If I have questions, the staff is pretty knowledgeable and can suggest some pretty tasty liquors. No complaints.

This Specs is smaller than the ones I’m used to and it does even look a little shady but all I needed was a 200mL bottle of Bacardi and Club Soda so this place seemed to fulfill my need.
I don’t look 21, but even so, this was the first Specs I have ever gone into where someone actually walked up to me asking if I was looking for anything in particular and I was! He pointed me in the right direction with a smile and then left me alone.

Note: this is a review of this specific Spec’s location.
Compared to the other nearby Spec’s locations (Westheimer @ Kirkwood, Memorial @ Dairy Ashford, I-​10 @ Bunker Hill), the beer selection here is woeful and wine selection is small. It is a smaller floorspace but nonetheless I find myself avoiding this location because they simply don’t have some of the things I go looking for.
The staff is a mix of nondescript (cashiers) and extremely helpful and nice (the wine guy and the manager).
