My coworker is a burger fanatic and he can pretty much eat a burger everyday(which I wouldn’t recommend for obvious health reasons). He is also a super picky eater, but he heard about this place from another friend. The place is very cute. It has a bit of a 70’s diner vibe to it. There were many different options you could choose from with cute names like the«miss piggy». He ordered the original and I ordered the sliders since I was not hungry enough for a regular. The burger was delicious! The meat/patty was moist and not overly done. The flavoring was more on the salty/savory side which I enjoyed. I would definitely go back to try the other burgers on the menu. The only reason I knocked off a star was because they only served bottled soda and parking is inconvenient to find since the lot was small(barely a lot).

Love the burger options and the option of getting the yummy tater tots. I was kinda disappointed when they remodeled, but they did a good job and they have a nice place with lots of seating now. I liked the Miss Piggie burger but may have to get one on Texas Toast next time. We were lucky to get there early and find a parking place but can see that being a problem for sure. Do not like that the ranch dressing is from a bottle and costs 75 cents for a side. So that rules out getting one of their salads. And, yeah, I really like ice in my drinks. I’d be happy to buy a bottled drink but I still need a cup of ice for it. So, note to self: Bring ice and ranch dressing.

This is one of the best burgers I have had in a very long time. It was cooked perfectly. The«Monster Burger» is more than enough for two people. Fast service, good selection of drinks and a good variety of sides. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the burgers…

Came in with some friends on a Saturday afternoon and was suggested that it was a really good burger joint. It actually turned out to be one of the better burger places I’ve been to in a while. Setting: It had a nice diner feel to it and even the booths, chairs, and long tables made it a good place to bring family/big groups of people. Way better than the patty melt, by a long shot! Food: I ordered the Cowboy Brunch with Italian fries and a coke. The Cowboy Brunch I felt is a way better version of the patty melt at whataburger. The Texas toast had the right amount of butter and crunch. It complimented the huge patty that was seasoned and cooked well. It also came with fried pickles which I feel is a genius idea in a burger, and the fried egg in it was excuse my french, mmmwah!(Finger smooching against my lips good). The veggies on it had fresh lettus leaves and big juicy tomatoes. This had too be one of the best burgers I had on Texas toast! The Italian fries I had tasted like a bread stick version of fries. Maybe because of the garlic and cheese in it. One of my friends ordered sweet potato fries, which I like better because it wasn’t as heavy as the Italian fries. Not that it wasn’t bad at all, I just couldn’t finish them because the Cowboy Brunch was such a great, big portion of goodness! Places like Stanton City Bites really make me appreciate these burger joints and this place really separate itself from a lot of burger places that are similar from their awesome food they have! I would definitely want to come back and eat if I’m in this area!

Honestly. Not sure what all the commotion is about. I grew up on hand patties and was excited to try this place with its glowing Unilocal reviews and couldn’t have been more disappointed. The burger was insanely over spiced and SALTY. I don’t get those crazy burgers either. I wanted it simple. Bun. Mushrooms. Cheese. Mayo and it Just. Wasn’t. Good. So, I seriously doubt Houstonian taste for burgers. Y’all need to come on down to Alabama. We will show you BBQ and a good burger. The staff could’ve cared less we were there on the rainy day we visited. That’s a moot point considering the fare so, if you forego my review expect a lackluster experience. For a better burger, Onion Creek is the place to go. It is way more relaxed, has drinks, and is about the same cost. I’m still on the hunt though for the best burger in Houston. For me, Stanton City Bites was no where close.

HOLYSMOKES that’s a good burger. This burger joint is pleasantly located right outside of downtown and at the brim of the heights. They have street parking on a pretty open street(not a big issue). Amazing selection of beers to choose from. But most importantly, some of the best burgers in Houston! They do have a regular patty burger, but their glory plates are in their specialty burgers which include a loaded burger of ingredients including melted cheeses, bacon, eggs, the whole 9! They also have sliced fires and tater tots which are both worth the cheat day. All in all, a great pick!

Decent burgers — not great, just decent. I had the trucker/truck-stop/burger with onion rings in it and it was messy. I don’t mind messy if the meat is juicy and the toppings are fresh & flow with the item… fresh, yes. Flow? Nope. I just wouldn’t go out of my way for this burger like I would at two other joints close by. And the fries? Disappointed. The«Cajun» fries were just extra fried really… nothing Cajun tasting about them. If Checkers/Rally’s can do it better, you should reevaluate… or rename. I had a few curly fries from hubby and they were like my burger: decent, not great. Would’ve tried the waffle fries but they were out… so, yeah. Over all: ok. Wouldn’t recommend, would only say I tried it if asked specifically. Life’s too short for decent.

I finally made my way back to this place. I had been here before they renovated the place and I must say that I enjoyed the burger more back then. This time around I was left unimpressed by this delicious looking burger. At first glance everything seemed to be on point and I couldn’t wait to devour this thing. That is my tactic when it comes to burgers. This burger had all the right ingredients, and alone each on of them were great. The veggies were fresh, the cheese was tart, and the meat with juicy. What definitely threw it off for me was the bun. I kept tasting overly toasted sesame. It seems to be some fancy brioche but I like my burgers with regular buns. The french fries were good, salty and crispy just like I like them! I will try to come back to try other burgers but for this price range I need to really love my burger!

Yeah, the parking situation isn’t the greatest, the service isn’t the fastest, and boo on carrying only bottled beverages. However, the old timey charm, tasty burgers, and a great selection of all that deep fried battered goodness stuff we’re told to avoid are all defining factors that have elevated this nondescript convenience store and morphed into one of Houston’s most beloved burger joint. Try to get here a little early or a little late, because this place tends to get pack during peak hours. The menu displays their selection of burgers, sandwiches, vegetarian offerings, and random snacks. I like to keep it simple and usually end up with a classic burger. While the meat of the burger is delicious, when I order it medium, the amount of liquidy juice that pours out of that burger makes an awful mess and is a little gross when your hands/basket is drenched with grease. The patties themselves are on the thicker side. Their defining feature is that they are actually flavorful and beefy tasting like they should be. A slight seared crust was not to be found. The sturdy sesame seed topped buns hold up fairly nicely despite the hefty contents. The bacon use in the burgers is disappointing. Overall it’s still a darn tasty burger. Anyway, there’s a ton of reviews already about this establishment so I won’t continue on, but yes it’s worth the visit, and yes you will want a nap afterwards. I love the old school cash register on display.

While visiting Houston, my best friend told me he was going to take me to the best burger spot in town. He brought me here and it definitely didn’t disappoint. It was packed when we got here. I saw other people’s burgers as they were coming out, and they good really good. I went with the Miss Piggie… bacon and beef patty, candied bacon, hash brown, cheddar. I’ve never had a burger with a hash brown on it, so I was looking forward to getting my burger. This was an excellent choice. Burger was cooked perfectly, and I did like the hash brown on it. I had the regular waffle fries, those I could’ve done without. They weren’t the best that I’ve had, but that doesn’t deter me from saying this place is very good. I will be back next time I come to visit Houston.

Stanton’s is a Houston legendary burger experience fasho! From the Luke Skyburger to the Miss Piggie. This downtown establish is always a treat for me to eat at. I like to get tater tots on the side too! I haven’t been here since they renovated the joint but I always enjoyed the laid backness of the place. The staff is always courteous and ready to take your order. One of if not«the best» burgers in the«H»!!! Come get you some.

What more can possibly be covered that has not already been said once, twice, possibly thrice? This place delivers on the front lines of the burger brigade. My most recent trip I opted for the Cowboy Brunch Burger($ 9) fried egg, house fried pickles, grilled onions, bacon, Swiss, American cheese, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, Texas toast — but hold the mayo on mine! Somehow everything between fried egg and Texas toast was overlooked(honestly I think those two food items are on automatic bold font in my brain), well not the mayo part but I was surprised by the fried pickles. Not bad surprise but oh my goodness like a hash brown but still getting the pickles kind of goodness combination! It ultimately made the whole idea of brunch on a twisted traditional burger that much more delightful. I say sit at the bar top because your order gets to you faster, in terms of they don’t have to bob and weave through the tables and chairs; kitchen doors swing open, number connects with eyes(make sure its pointed strategically in an easy fashion for eyes peering from kitchen door), and delivered within 10 short steps. As aforementioned parking can be a find and seek game, there are now signs posted that clearly tell you not to park in the cleaners across the street which is generally serving our service men and women uniforms of Houston.

Arrived at 4:30 on Good Friday. Maybe only 2 other groups there. Order at the front, they give you a number, grab your drink, have a seat, and they bring your food to you. All burgers are served dry so you can dress the mustard, mayo, ketchup yourself. Miss Piggie($ 9): freshly ground bacon and beef patty, house candied bacon, hash brown, cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes. My first bite, I thought it was kinda salty. Probably all that bacon, cheddar, and hash brown make it salty. The bun is good! 4⁄5 Cowboy Brunch($ 9): fried egg, house fried pickles, grilled onions, bacon, swiss, american cheese, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, texas toast. I wish I had ordered this instead. It is sooo good. Definitely will order this for myself next time. 5⁄5 Tater tots($ 2.5): perfectly fried. Delicious. I can feel my arteries clogging now. Lots of drink choices! Had the Dublin Black Cherry soda. Tasted a lot like Dr. Pepper. This is definitely one of the best burger places I’ve been to. Not better than Bubba’s Burger Shack but still very good.

Such a good burger place! They recently renovated and I gotta say, I do love the new vibe. Their burgers are always consistent with high quality meat. The Cajun fries are to die for! The burgers are huge and it’s one of the few places where I devour the burger faster than others with me.

I heard great things about this place, so we decided to give it a try. Be prepared for street parking or if you are lucky, you may get a spot right in front of the place as there are only three parking spots. The atmosphere is very casual. You line up to order and grab your drinks. No tap water so if you want water, you can get bottles water. There’s a huge menu with a large variety of burger choices and sides. After you order, you find a table and the food comes to you. I ordered the spicy chipotle burger because bacon, chipotle, jalapeño bun… All of that sounded interesting. However, I was pretty disappointed in the flavors. Is it possible that the jalapeño bun can cancel the flavor of the chipotle? I kept waiting for the flavors to come out and hit my tongue, but nope. It was like my tongue felt the chipotle sauce, but the strong flavor from the jalapeño bun would overpower it leaving a result of blandness. I took a bite of my boyfriend’s shroom burger and it had more flavor and I think I would have enjoyed it more. The fries were very crispy and delicious. Overall, I think the food is great, but I think I picked the wrong burger for my liking.

Stanton’s is quite the interesting burger spot. It’s adorable exterior reminded me a lot of Desperate Housewives, only the interior was anything but«desperate.» It had a part-commercialized, part-«trendy» feel to it, and came off as very authentic for a burger joint. What struck me as odd and a bit frustrating, though, was the fact that there are no soda fountain machines at this place. Meaning, you are FORCED to buy a beverage – even if it’s water, which comes only in the bottled form. Though $ 1 is hardly expensive compared to water bottle prices at the Toyota Center, it’s still a dollar more expensive than water should be at any other restaurant. On this planet. Even the poorest food stands in China have free water(cleanliness aside). So keep that in mind before you visit this place. Food-wise, this place rocks. I ordered the Luke Skyburger, winner of the greatest name of all time in my book, and The Force is DEFINITELY strong with this one. The deep-fried bacon adds an awesome layer of taste and texture, and the patty itself is unique, well-seasoned, and full of flavor in every bite. The bun comes in a standard yet well-toasted sesame bun, and the french fries were crispy and delicious as well. Needless to say, I devoured my meal in well under 10 minutes, a testament to the burger’s wealth of tastiness(and also my insatiable hunger). I took an über here for my first visit, but parking looks pretty brutal. Street parking will be your default for the most part, as there are only a couple of spots in the actual parking lot. I’ll need to visit this place once more before upgrading them to elite status, but I’ll definitely be returning here to duel Mr. Skyburger and company once more.
