same ol’ subway but doesn’t disappoint. I always get the 6″ cold cut with chips and drink. $ 8 for a meal verses $ 15 at any other place in the airport.

Thank God for this Subway Sandwich place at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport. It is a life-saver for busy travelers who don’t want to cough up a small fortune to eat at some of the other highbrow places around. I was waiting for a stand-by flight and was wanting to eat something before I got on that plane. I glanced down the long, never-ending corridors of the airport and spied out that very distinctive Subway Sandwiches sign. Quickly, I hurried down and was lucky to not find a line and ordered a sandwich combo that I was able to gulp down before I had to hustle onto the plane. Subway will never be gourmet but some of their sandwiches are decent and filling. I love their tuna and today I added some toasting with Swiss cheese and got a delicious tuna melt. I am not alone in my admiration for Subway at the Airport. As I walked away after paying for my food, a long line had developed and it seems the airport workers, flight attendants and pilots also like to grab Subway. It’s easy to take the food on a plane when they package it up for you in those skinny plastic bags. The prices here are higher compared to a regular storefront Subway. My foot long Tuna Sub combo ran me $ 10.66 so I had to deduct 1 UnilocalSTAR for price gouging hungry passengers and workers but otherwise, Yah, I’m a fan!

Horrible. Workers have bad attitudes. Rushed through. Didn’t listen to our orders. Poorly made sandwiches. Didn’t have veggie patty or anything other than American and Swiss cheese. The attitudes were the worst. Go anywhere else in the airport.

Slow-moving line, workers with attitude, missing Subway staple ingredients, and a poorly-made sandwich = one very unhappy customer. You expect some degree of consistency within chain restaurants and this location fell way fucking flat. I would recommend avoiding this place unless you want to waste your time waiting to get food and then reassembling it into something that looks edible when you sit down. What a shame. +1 star because the cashier was actually nice. I wish he had been the one making my sandwich instead of the cranky woman who did.

The line can get long during lunch hour. Staff weren’t the quickest, a pretty average subway.

Stopped here to grab lunch before my next flight. They were quick making my sandwich(6″ Subway Melt on Italian bread with American Cheese, some pickles, mustard, and salt & pepper) and ringing me up. I wish all Subways had the same sense of urgency. I also got some Baked Lays, iced tea, and a chocolate chip cookie. It wasn’t the greatest meal I’ve had, but it got the job done in a timely manner.

Stopped by this Subway while transiting through Houston airport, and it’s pretty mediocre. They only had two types of cheese, but the girl couldn’t tell me which two they had when I asked. …They were right in front of her. That’s kind of random. Also, this location shares seating with Popeye’s next-door, so there really wasn’t much seating for everyone there. Perhaps that’s not issue because you can just go to gate, but it’s still something to be aware of. Airport dining is airport dining, and there are healthy options besides this Subway…

There was maybe 3 people in line, 1 ahead of me and 1 behind me. The lady taking orders was just kind of a bitch. When I asked for my order(sweet onion chicken teriyaki sandwich) she didn’t ask anyone and just assumed we all prefer our sandwiches toasted. I HATE my sandwich toasted so I stopped her and she told me the chicken was cold otherwise. «Can you please warm it up on its own?» I asked. She did, reluctantly. And then she moved onto the next person who ordered a steak and cheese sandwich to which she responded a very unfriendly, «No steak.» and waited for him to figure it out that she REALLY meant, «I’m sorry sir, we don’t have any steak right now. Can I get you something else? Maybe the…» What has become of «customer service»? I swear… The second lady grabbed my chicken out of the microwave early and smashed it onto the bread unevenly and shoved the other toppings on there unevenly too so when I went to eat it I got a mouthful of spinach with no chicken or anything, or I would get a mouthful of just chicken, or just onions. Grumble. Make the damn sandwich like you would want someone to make yours! Since it is Subway and the food is always the same(for the most part unless they have stale bread or something which they didn’t) it’s still worth going to in my book to avoid the other airport food you could get. Service just sucks.

The line was long but moving fast. It was all hands on deck and they were friendly and efficient. I give them props for not skimping on the toppings. This subway location did not disappoint.
