All the workers here are young and incompetent. If you go here, you’ll see what I mean. I almost kicked a dudes ass for giving me an ignorant face when I asked him a simple question.

AT-Mobile was the first company I used when I got my first cell phone. Back in those days, having a phone was just for emergency purposes, so having stellar features and being on a plan that provided me unlimited access was not a big deal. About two years with T-Mobile, I had to let them go! The service was terrible– dropped calls out the ying-yang. It was then that switched I to Verizon Wireless, which has GREAT service, BUT you will pay for it! Luckily, I received a discount as a State of Texas employee that made it more affordable. However, costs continued to rise over the years to where the cell service was no longer affordable and they discontinued my discount for the data. Plans changed and present day I’ve paid a whopping $ 90 for data! Although I am grateful for saving some money, there were several missteps by this store that will make me think twice about going back in the future: Went into the store with my VZ Wireless hotspot device and told them the situation. The young lady behind the counter was trying to understand what I was trying to do, but kind of took her awhile to understand. When she final did comprehend my requests, she gave me a few plan options. I asked her about the Data Stash promotion that I had seen on some commercials. She told me they didn’t have that plan? Hmmm. I see the posters, so that’s a little confusing. Luckily, I had already shopped around online and looked at some plans beforehand. The plan she shared with me would cut my data and cell phone plan in half, so what the hey? If anything, I could easily change my plan later, but I was in a big bind and needed to get Internet access at home that night. Although the store representatives were greeted me and were friendly, there was too much whispering going on. I was on my cell phone checking messages, but I could hear the employees talking back and forth about if they knew how to switch a number over, would my old device work, etc. At one point I pretended to be on my phone so I could make sure everything was legit and going smoothly with my changes. They assured me they were, but kept on whispering about the transaction. After the transaction was complete, I was told that it may take some time to update the account, but didn’t need to be in the store for that part. If there were any problems, just come back. That I do not do. I frankly told the representative that I needed to make sure everything was in order for me to use my data before I left the store, so if I needed to wait to make sure that happened, that’s what I will do. In less than two minutes, everything was finished. At least they checked my Hotspot for me to make sure it was working with the new SIM card. Nonetheless, I found this store to be less than stellar with its professionalism and customer service. Again, if it hadn’t been for an emergency, I would not have made the change on a spur of the moment. Since I was able to use my own device, I can always discontinue my hotspot service at any time without termination fees and find something that will be more cost effective. If I was bound by a contract, I would have left and made my decision another day.
