Nothing… Very poor management, very poor service… Had to wait 30 min for 2 meals… Staff is clearly lost. Talking on the cell with one hand and making food with the other… I hope they go bankrupt…

Twice on recent Saturdays, I have stopped by to order a box of tacos. Twice I have been told the TC at Rolling Oaks has NOCOFFEE. Seriously? So I got the box of tacos. Very small tacos. Smaller than trump’s hand. My suggestion is they call them mini-tacos. They are certainly not my grandfather’s tacos, i.e. substantial taco that satisfied a hunger. On another occasion I bought an overpriced enchilada dinner. I grabbed a bunch of salsas from the salsa bar. then I asked if chips came with the dinner and the manager told me coldly: «Chips don’t come with that plate.» OK, but she could have grabbed a fistful of chips to satisfy a customer, but she did not. She could have placated a customer and have him return. But noooo! So I decided that TC is simply not my kind of restaurant.

Food was alright. The chips were good and the cheese dip is flavorful but the rest is just okay. If you’re into fast tex mex food this is your place to go to but if you want authentic Mexican food there’s a lot more choices in Houston.

Service was horrible, and so was the food. Order was incomplete and it tasted sour. Yes, I didn’t order any sour cream to go with my order. The meat tasted sour and the I had to throw away my order!!! Will never return to this location EVER!!!

Worst location ever! Went last night(duh that’s what you are known for) and got 0 service. The crew working at 2 am was extremely rude and delivered no service at all via the drive thru. Taco Cabana you have gone extremely downhill especially as a vendor in the Upper Kirby area which one would think would be a more client friendly establishment! DEPLORABLE!!! Whoever the manager is needs to either get involved or jump ship! The manager had the nerve to tell me I didn’t wait long enough so he couldn’t serve me. This location needs new managing STAT!

I’ve always been happy with just about any Taco Cabana as they have tasty refried beans and rice that we get to go and use to complement other Mexican food we have at home. Used to love their queso but the recipe changed for the spicier a year or 2 ago so we don’t get that anymore. Not really sure why they feel queso should be spicy. We can always add jalapenos or whatever if we want spicy. Sometimes you just want a nice creamy queso to cut the heat from the other food. Apparently we must be in the minority there. Also really like their brisket. It makes a nice brisket, egg & cheese breakfast taco as well as brisket quesadillas. Even have inventive margarita flavors that are well-priced(esp at Happy Hour) and not as sweet(I really hate sweet drinks!) as some full-service Mexican restaurants. We’re moving to Florida soon and are disappointed they don’t have Taco Cabana there. Just Pollo Tropical. Not sure how that’s going to work for us.

What a shit show! I think they hire the worst people that apply – and anyone that says they have zero skills, zero work ethic, zero intelligence and they’re hired in the spot if they never shower. Disgusting place and disgusting group of humans. Hope you don’t get Terrisha – she is a dirty, nasty, rude, ungrateful bitch. The manager should be ashamed of his entire staff. Orders always wrong, rude, and not clean. Last chance gas been given. Oh and did I mention what pig Terrisha is? Watch out she bites.

Horrible service and bad attitudes. Waited on my food for more than an hour and still didn’t get it. Asked for a refund and got attitude. The resturant was dirty. The only plus for this place is that it is open 24 hours even though I never received my food.

I am sitting here now with a group of people. We ordered, collectively, between 11:58 — 12:01. Our order is still not here 49 minutes later! This is insane.

Ok, yes I’m reviewing a Taco Cabana, yes a fast food joint. I’m doing so because I believe they deserve four stars for their excellent beef fajita tacos. Any of their locations you go to, you are able to buy beef fajita tacos stuffed in Tortillas made on premise with excellent flavorful fajita meat for dirt cheap. They are consistent, flavorful and cheap. Hats Off to their management.

The only reason why this place got three stars instead of two is because it is open 24 hours. Order was wrong, staff was rude. Not much to say but to avoid this place and find something else for a late night snack. Maybe I just caught the wrong crew on the wrong night but I was highly disappointed in the service we received. I had to give it three stars because of the past orders I have placed at this location. Normally they are fast, efficient and the food is tasty for being a 24 hour joint. I normally don’t eat out late night but when I have to I don’t want to have hassle. Might not be the best looking stuff but it does the job for late night. The location, price, and quality of food on a normal day/time make this a place worth another try at another time. Hopefully it’ll be better next time.

This Taco Cabana location is much nicer than the other locations located around town. I’m guessing because the restaurant was renovated a few years ago and hired new kitchen staff. I haven’t been here in a while partially due to the fact that the food was not very good and the service was subpar. However since I have been here twice now in the last two weeks, I have noticed that the restaurant is kept pretty clean, the food orders are accurate and the taste of food has greatly improved. The portions are right for the price paid($ 2 – 12). They do serve beer and margaritas. They gave a great salsa bar. You walk up and order at the counter. They give you a number and call it out when the food is ready. The last two times though, the food order was hand delivered to me. Keep in mind, this is a fast food type of place and not a five star Tex-Mex restaurant. For me, I was pleased with the food and the service so I will definitely be back. They open late, 24 hours and serve breakfast all day as well. The parking lot is shared with a Japanese restaurant across the parking lot. Beware, if you’re parking there and not going to either one of those restaurants, your car will be towed.

Fast food?! How about SLOWCRAP! Intro: I walk into the restaurant with my wife and her friend only to be greeted by an unfriendly cashier… u can tell he didnt want to be there and we soon found out why. After ordering: 5 min past…10 min past… and we started to realize that something is wrong. We watched as the mgr and the employees bicker bout what order was next and who does what while my wife, her friend and I patiently wait. As the pickup line started the buildup, i noticed other customers yelling«ive been here for 30 min! Where is my order?!» After ~20 min i asked the mgr where my food was only to receive a response of I already gave u ur order! THESEFOOLSNEVERMADEMYFOOD because they assigned the same pickup number twice! So when the guy with the same number picked up… they erased my order as well! All hell has now broke loose and customers are asking for a refund, yelling at the employees, and other employees were arguing amongst each other… They didnt have their act together so bad that they couldnt even give us a refund! By the time my order came out… they had it wrong! To which i replied out of frustration, «fuck it ill just fucking eat it.» The mgr wouldnt let me take the wrong order that they messed up on that took OVER20 min… We ended up getting our order about 30 min later and the meat was undercooked… LOL i just had to laugh it off… This place is a joke and deserves to have NEGATIVENEGATIVE stars! Why r yall even open?!

Oh taco cabana how much you have gone downhill over the last few years. Even though they recently renovated this location less than 2 years ago it’s already worn out, not to mention how dirty it gets. For some reason whenever you stand by the coffee pots it’s smells like trash and I come here at least once a week and it’s always smelling the same. Don’t even think about going through the drive thru unless you want to spend 15 – 20 minutes waiting to pay and getting an order that’s not even correct, you’re better off just going inside and getting your food to go it’ll be twice as fast! The patio area is very noisy and dirty, I wouldn’t recommend sitting out there unless you enjoy the Kirby rush hour! As far as the food goes it’s also gone downhill over the last few years, I usually get a taco combo but they taste so bad now that I’ve switched over to the chicken quesadilla. Do yourself a favor and spend an extra $ and head on over to chipotle!

All TC Houston locations are slow. If you can wait the 20 – 30 minutes, you’ll get a drunkard’s feast. that should fill the boozy void. This is no taco bell. The freshness isn’t even comparable. Would Bell ever give you house made tortillas, beer or margaritas? No. I have been disappointed several times by the long wait, but I have yet to be dissatisfied by the actual food.

One evening, I was in a rush and wanted something fast-ish but tasty, so I pulled up to the TC drive thru. I had only heard good things from friends about TC, so I ordered two shredded chicken tacos and pulled up to the window. It was about 8PM on a Saturday and they seemed busy, but not packed, but I still waited almost 10 minutes for my order to get to me. I went to a friend’s place after picking it up, which was not a good idea. By the time I reached her table and unwrapped my first taco, it was cold! Yuck. But I was starving, so I ate it anyway. Bad decision. And I ate my second taco. Also a bad decision. Not even 5 minutes later, my stomach hurt, and continued to hurt until the next day. After about 18 hours, TC finally passed all the way through my system and I was free.(Hallelujah.) The sketchy-looking chicken place across the street would probably be a safer choice. Never again.

Reviews are all about context. You gotta know when to go to a place and what to order. The only time you hit up TC is after 1am on a Friday or Saturday. The line will be long and slow moving, but this is par for the night. When you get up to order, you get the steak tacos(don’t say beef. which means ground up blah) and a chicken quesadilla. Service will be a little slow, and they do this weird thing where they make you pull to the side of the curb after paying. but the food really is pretty good when your drunk at 2am. Aside from that, I never come here.

Fast food, mexican and tex-mex style. That about sums it up. If you’re not from Houston, you’ll probably not understand why we go here. I’m not really sure why us Houstonians do either. This city has so many other great authentic mexican and tex-mex options in the city limits, but if you drive by a Taco C most hours, you’ll find the parking lots full. If you’ve ever visited West Texas it’s similar to their obsession with God awful Rosa’s. If you have to ask I guess you’re not a local and then I guess you weren’t supposed to know in the first place.(trust me you’re not missing out on much) I guess sometimes all you need in life is a little velveeta cheese to make things better. Order a dozen fresh tortillas and a large queso and you’ll get my drift.

Wow, what happened to this place? It has been almost a year since I stepped foot in which once was a delipidated chain faux tex mex restaurant transformed into something that looked like somebody put some thought into the redesign of this place. I must have been out of touch with these particular places since I noticed the one on Durham/I-10 looking almost the same while driving by. The food here really didn’t change, it’s not the best, it’s not the worst but you get a better atmosphere and the tables you sit at do not rock like it was made by Andy the ameteur. As you walk in or even park your car you will hear the sound of a bird shrilling through the air, make no mistake, you did not get lost and end up near the zoo but look up as you get near the door and you will see a little speaker mounted on top of the establishment… that is where the sound is coming from. Parking is the same, park on the Kirby side where you will have maybe 4 inches more space for your car vs the tight what seems like markers for a mini cooper. I made the visit at night time and was a little challenge to find parking so expect your usual mad dash and wait to find a parking space during lunch. Personnel, manager was authentically nice, brief and professional. Crew is your normal run of the mill«I’m here for the paycheck» personnel.
