At last, the search for the best tacos has finally come. My boyfriend and I have been looking for a good taco place for a long time(he is Mexican so he has very high standards). If you are a UH student, it is very close to campus so I would recommend this taco any time, for lunch or for the late night munchies. I had the torta and it was fairly good, and it was a huge portion, which was a plus. My boyfriend had three tacos — carnitas, chicharron and shredded beef — and he devoured it. He said he could eat three more tacos. The tortilla was seasoned and tasted fresh. The food came with a green sauce that had a nice kick to it. We will be back to eat these«flirty» tacos

Gosh darn genius-level relatively-late night munchie stop. Right next door to the two best maker spaces in Houston. TX/RX and Houston Makerspace.

La mera verdad no me gustaron estos tacos. Estaban muy llenos de mucha grasa. No tenían mucha carne.

Omg good good tacos de tripa(tripe). Their green salsa is super good. But these tacos are real Mexican tacos. I love tacos and these are delicious. Four tacos with sautéed onions and potatoes with chorizo as a side and a Mexican pop. Oh And they are cheap ;) so it won’t hurt your wallet.

Amazing! The koketadas are the best! I recommend the barbacoa koketadas. The staff was very friendly. We got there right as they opened and they greeted us with smiles and great service.

This is the first Mexican food I’ve rated on Unilocal and I decided on eating here because it has a legit rating… Since I’m Mexican I guess I’m more critical of the food but wow this rating deceived me…(For a real taco Google: Victoria bakery in lawndale Houston tx.) This was the hardest taco I’ve ever bitten into. And it’s just not worth talking about. All these high ratings must be from drunk people. I rather go to Taco Bell lmao

Just horrible. Everything was deep fried in bad oil. I was so relieved that I didn’t fall sick after eating here. Never again!

Their tacos are delicious! The tortillas are coated and like, fried on the griddle in this delicious orange sauce. I have no idea what it is but it makes their tacos unique, but you can’t eat to many because it makes them quite greasy. I always get the desabrada for my meat, it’s a shredded beef. Their chicken is good too.

Can’t go wrong with anything. That’s about all we can say. And you’re not going to need your wallet, just a few bucks. And we lived in LA for over a decade so we need tacos especially street tacos. Don’t be scared or forward with the set up on the side of the street by the backyard auto business. This is the deal if you’re into food.

Great tacos!!! One of my favorite taco trucks. Love the papas it comes with. The service is good like the atmosphere but parking sucks

Tried this place for the first time today and it was so good! I got two of the chicken fajita tacos and they were yummy! They came with grilled onions, cilantro, and potatoes and a super tasty hot green sauce. The sauce was little spicy for my taste but it’s good when used in moderation. Definitely recommend it!

Nothing to complain about here. You will want to brush up your spanish before visiting, but that’s sort of assumed at the taco trucks I think. Regardless, if you don’t speak spanish, they’l get through it with you. Tried all their meats at this point, and will continue to come back when I see them open!

First of all, you nearly pass by this establishment which is not far from some train tracks in east Houston; however, a quick stop in has you realizing you found a gem. You walk up to the window you may see an old TV pulling in some fútbol as you order and wait for your food to cook. I had koketadas: al pastor, fajita and pollo which were quite good at the cost. Glad to make the stop. Not far from BBVA(5 min drive). Not much parking as expected, but this is like a food truck so don’t expect restrooms.

I was so excited to try this place, but it failed to impress. While I enjoyed the atmosphere and the people were friendly, the food was lacking. I got a beef fajita burrito. The tortilla was so greasy and fell apart. The meat was full of gritty, chewy fat. Made me gag. On the plus side, their green sauce is awesome! If I go back, definitely trying their torta.

I ordered several things from the written menu. Ordered a «koketada» because I had never heard of it and wanted to give it a try. After ordering, was told«it’s our regular taco, but it comes with cheese.» Hmm. O-Kay… Ordered several tacos with the following meats. Chicharron, pastor, and barbacoa. The meats did nothing for me. :( Plate also came with grilled potato pieces, onions, and jalapeños. *This was outstanding and best part of the plate. :) Ordered a cup of charro beans, which were average. The two men in the food truck(cook and order-taker) were both very nice and accommodating. I am glad I was taken here :) but won’t be back. It was 3 of 5 stars. Satisfying for hunger situations, but not satisfying for a savor the moment experience.

Tried this place for this first time today and I was a bit skeptical but it didn’t disappoint. I had the koketadas, one fajita and one al pastor. They were both good but the fajita was amazing, I had to get another one before I left! It came with grilled onions, potatoes, and cilantro and when you hit the tacos with some lime it takes it to whole nuva level! Definitely coming back soon

I keep going back and back for more. The Koketadas are by far my favorite, add some salsa, onions and you will be in for a treat. Not to mention the staff is very welcoming and is nice to see passion for food.

Well, it’s a taco stand. Can’t say is remarkable but I would say that it’s good street food. I like how they crisp up the corn tortilla. In comparison to Torchy’s regarding quality, I would say that Torchy’s seemed fresher and I did like Torchy’s flavor more. Service quality was the same. Environment wise, well, tap stand vs storefront as one would expect. This place has Torchy’s need in Speed of service simple because there were less people. I went on a Thursday around 12:30 and they were finishing up with one client when I got to the window.

What a friendly neighborhood stand! We stopped by this afternoon for a post-hike meal, and when the gentleman took our order, it started drizzling gently. As we waited, the skies opened and started pouring, so the man ran outside and started assembling a tent for us to sit under while we ate.(!!!) My husband and I both ordered tacos de tripa and chicharrón. Both meats were well-seasoned, sprinkled with cilantro, and the tripa was especially crispy(the way my husband prefers it). Our taco plates also came with grilled onions, jalapeño, potatoes, and lemon to squeeze. The pricing was also very reasonable– we spent less than $ 12 on 5 tacos and a tall Mexican coke. Yay! A warning: the tacos are greasier than one might expect. This was fine for me, as I was starving after a long, rainy walk, but I know that it’s not everyone’s preference.

I love having this place to close to me. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a set schedule. So hopefully you can catch them when they’re open! To be honest they’re are not the best tacos in the world but they are always super nice and very generous on everything: salsa, limes, meat, grilled onions, napkins, etc! I appreciate small things like that. They always have a variety of ice cold beverages in front! It’s a one stop shop and it’s pretty affordable compared to most popular taco places. Try it out!
