One of the best taco trucks I been to so far and I never been disappointed about their food here. Except for the days they don’t have elotes or run out. Sad days for Areanne. The limon drink is the shit, order that with your tacos! I think they raised the prices up a bit for the tacos but I won’t trip, it’s still bomb ass tacos. Expect the wait though! It’s a small taco truck what do you expect? You can’t fit 10 people in there to speed up production. Always call way ahead if you have a big order or picking up an order so you can skip the long wait.

I love the tacos here ! The best. Meat seasoned so well, so full of flavor. The only taco truck I love going to when I’m craving street tacos.

They are OK. I had the fajita tacos. The meat texture was a little strange, and the seasoning was a bit off.

Good but it takes a bit to get your food. The eating area is not so great, but I usually bring the food home. They also always seem to be out of the tacos bistec.

This place is really good. And so I’m going to compare it to some of the best taco places I’ve been to in all of Houston, and not just the nearby area. I got the barbacoa, fajita, lengua, and pastor tacos on 2 corn and 2 flour tortillas. Tacos come with cilantro, grilled onions and cheese(unlike most other places), and avocado(for free!) for $ 1.75 each. The portion was just a bit smaller than average I’d say(meat and tortilla), but the cost is 100% worth it, especially since you get FREEAVOCADO! The only other place I know that does this is Tierra Caliente, though their corn tacos are even cheaper at $ 1.50. Flour tortillas — pretty flour-y tasting. Slightly over-cooked so that it’s crispy on the outside but still soft enough on the inside to fold. This is the only place I’ve been to that makes flour tortillas like this. Some may like it, others may not. My first flour tortilla was pretty good, but my second one was too dry and overcooked. I’m not completely sold on the flour tortillas here. Corn tortillas — double-backed and pretty good, slightly above average. I’d go with the corn tortillas here for everything. Barbacoa — quite good, very soft, but maybe a bit bland overall. Nowhere close to barbacoa at Tierra Caliente or Gerardo’s Drive-In. 3⁄5 Fajita — excellently made, probably the best meat I had here. Lots of inedible fat pieces in it though. Just behind Taconazo’s fajita, tied with Tierra Caliente. 4⁄5 Lengua — absolutely devoid of flavor. I would avoid the lengua here at all costs. Stick to anywhere else for lengua. My picks would be Taconazo and Tacos La Bala. 1⁄5 Pastor — loved this, but the meat might have been a bit too soft. The flavor was really good though, like the fajita. Runner-up to Taconazo and Tierra Caliente here. 4⁄5 Greasiness levels — moderate/above average. But definitely nowhere near the grease bombs that Sierra Madre sells. Overall I really like this truck. The menu is large, the food is good overall(get fajita/pastor), and the tacos are cheap. FREEAVOCADO It’s not nearly as good as the best trucks in town but it’s close. And you probably won’t find anything better in the area. 4.5÷5

This is hands-down one of my favorite places to go for a street taco! I usually go for the fajita with the flour tortilla with everything in it(avocado, onions, cheese,& cilantro). The tacos did go for $ 1.50 a piece, but they raised it by 25 cents. But to me it is still worth getting. The addition of the lime on top of the already flavorful fajita just adds a very distinct taste that makes me come back for more. If you don’t plan eating there, I’d call ahead of time so you don’t have to wait.

Came here around 9pm on a Saturday. Waited 30 mins for 4 tacos. Apparently some lady ordered like 30 tacos a few customers before us so it backed everyone else’s orders. People were complaining about the wait. I ordered the fajita tacos and they were okay. Definitely not worth the 30 minute wait.

While its nearly location is a pull for this taco bus, I’ve never been disappointed by anything on their wide ranging ‘old school’ menu. Their tacos are small, potent with flavor, always making me wish I ordered more. The quesadillas are decadent in size, the right amount of greasy and totally savory. You can’t go wrong with any of their meat choices. Go ahead and take a shot on their hamburgers, gorditas and tortas, it’s all good here.

Still delicious, but they raised the price of the tacos by a $.25. They sell bottled water, and now they have a vending machine. The makeover they had recently is a nice improvement. Don’t forget to ask for the sauce bottles if you dine in at one of their picnic tables. They don’t offer it to you otherwise.

Who needs tacos from anywhere else! All the food is good and it’s so close to where I live. All of the drinks are refreshing as well, and come in pretty big cups, bigger than my big head. Horchata was on point! I’ve tried a bunch of tacos with different meats; fajitas, barbacoa, chicken, al pastor, they’re all amazing. They come with cilantro, onions, and avocado with no extra charge! Plus you get green and red sauce on the side. And the elote, mmmmmmm. These tacos are good and CHEAPPPPPPPPP!

Amazing and truly too far away! I wish they had a closer location to me! It’s so delicious and they ran out of nachos before I could order any and no more corn in cup. :(It was sad but I survived without. Anyways got the torta with fajita, 4 tacos fajita and 2 small quesadillas with chicken. Our drinks were 2 sandia(watermelon) and one limon which was a limeade. Delicious all around just a little greasy on the two small quesadillas. Delicious food and $ 26 for all that. A thumbs up in my book! Happy Eats!

Delicious tacos, especially for the super cheap price! The green hot sauce they have is so good and spicy. Their melon drink is my favorite, and the large is almost the size of a Sonic Route 44 cup for just $ 2.50, I believe. I used to have trouble locating the truck, but I just know they’re in an area that sells grass and that there’s an Auto shop and a tattoo shop sign right by it. The only reason I took off a star is because of the parking(which is very limited) and because they sometimes don’t have the melon drink. Other than that, everything is pretty much all good with me.

Everyone has been hyping this place up! I decided to give it a go. Easy to miss if you are speeding so slow down after mills rd! Look for a truck attached to a tent ! Walk through there and you’ll see tables and a place to order AND a vending machine. The lady speaks English pretty well compared to other places. Even though she got my order wrong it’s cool. 3 fajita tacos with onion, 3 fajita tacos without onion on flour without cheese, 2 chicken on corn The chicken was alright, not bad. The salsa verde was pretty friggin good and SPICY! I like that. Make sure you have something to chug down! Beef fajita –the meat was hard, more hard than usual. I went on a Monday, possibly why. I would imagine like a previous review the meat is freshest on weekend. Other than that this will do! I loved that they put avocado and caramelized onion on everything WITHOUT extra charge. I’ll come back– on a weekend

If you are looking for a nice taco place where you can sit down in an air conditioned restaurant — this is not the place for you. If you are looking for an authentic taco with an authentic outdoor ambiance — then you’ve hit the jackpot. I have been here for both breakfast and lunch. The food is great. You step up to the counter which is cut into the side of a school bus. Yes, an old school bus. For this instance I ordered breakfast. Upon opening the foil, I immediately observed that tortillas were homemade. I also noticed the oozing white cheese. I also noticed the overflowing fillings of my tacos. So far everything looks great. As I bite into the tacos, I am greeted with complimenting flavors. The egg, cheese, chorizo, and tortillas are a foody symphony. The barbacoa — awesome. Bottom line is — if you can get past the school bus /no AC/outdoor seating — then be prepared to get some awesome tacos!

MR says… cheap tasty food plus the ambiance makes it authentic MRS says… good food and yes it’s cheap. the portion is just right for the price. it’s like a hole in a wall restaurant but this happens to be in a trailer park setting. there’s no AC in the shed seating area so if it’s hot — it’s sweating hot. they have complimentary red and green sauce. really really good. best taco place. I think better than Taqueria Ruby. Less expensive than Torchy’s.

The tacos here taste exactly the same as their other location on Veterans Memorial. Duh, they have the name! If you’re looking for great tasting tacos and don’t feel like spending much, this is the spot where you can grab some! They open late on weekends, I believe til 1am. Fajita, chicken, pastor tacos with all the toppings(onions, cheese, avocado, cilantro) go great on flour tortilla. That’s what I have tried so far and I enjoy it each time I get them. I also get their melon drink. It’s cantaloupe juice! This location is smaller so there’s not much room to sit and get comfy.

Amazing authentic Mexican tacos that remind me of street tacos from Tijuana! This place brings me back to my college days in Los Angeles when we would drive 2 hour into Mexico to get some tasty street taco from the whole in the wall places! Thanks to the reviews from other Unilocalers I had to give this place a try. I went with the Fajita taco in a double wrapped corn tortilla with everything in it: cilantro, onions, cheese and a sliver of avocado. Let me tell you… Absolutely wonderful!!! I had the Pastor taco with everything on it too and it was equally delicious! Not sure which I liked more? I was even brave enough to try the hot sauce sitting on the table and it gave just the right amount of extra spice and didn’t suffer any repercussions later! My taste buds were tingling with delight. As I sat there in this whole in the wall place enjoying the most authentic Mexican tacos I have eaten in Houston, you almost feel like you are somewhere in Mexico. So if you can get past no A/C, no doors or windows and just want a good taco then you just might like this place. Looking forward to trying the other tacos next time!!!

I now know why my friends say $ 3 for a taco is expensive when you can get better and authentic ones for $ 1.50 at Los Gemelos! It’s really in an awkward location on gravel and next to a grass/dirt/plant business. But they have 4-seater tables and another one for a larger group all under a shaded area! I ordered 2 chicken flour tacos and boy oh boy were they delicious and mouth watering. The flour tacos were so soft yet had a crispy exterior even when I brought it home. Also its loaded with cilantro, onions, avocados and of course the meat. I washed my tacos down with a medium horchata. The total came out to be $ 4.50 and fast service. Definitely coming back!
