Taco Man

Due to construction at the UH Power Plant and the new College of Business building thats going up across the walkway, there has been a taco truck on UH Campus!!! Yeah… that’s a three minute walk from my building… so I’ve been eating tacos for lunch pretty much daily…
$ 1.50 for a taco on corn tortillas (flour available as well). They have the standards for tacos, and I usually stick with barbacoa, pastor, and/​or carnitas. They do also have more tex-​mex type items and even some generic fried food available.
Their flavor has improved over the last two weeks or so and I’m liking them a lot more. I load up with the tacos with pickled onions and jalapenos (a good amount of heat) and a little of their green sauce – not a huge fan of their red salsa.
In general, I would probably only give them 3 stars. However, their fantastic location and friendliness (and the charro beans, don’t forget to grab a cup of FREE charro beans with your order) bump them up a notch.
DISCLAIMER: Not sure how long they will actually keep coming to campus. I would assume at least until construction is finished, but I wonder if they get enough student/​staff business they may keep coming back. Currently they are on campus usually between 11:00 and 12:30. Apparently also around 7 am for breakfast tacos too. They also make other stops around the city. Give them a call to confirm where they are.
