Pros: — Friendly, mom and pop restaurant — The staff speaks Mandarin, Vietnamese and English — Lots of yummy lunch menu option that comes with either steamed white rice or shrimp fried rice — Very affordable, good sized serving around $ 7+ per meal(my family orders to go at least once a week. Love their shrimp fried rice(9⁄10), shrimp with broccoli, lemon fish and orange fish(9⁄10) which isn’t even on the menu but they would be happy to make it for you) — You can place your order by phone beforehand so you can just pick it up Cons: — Limited parking — Overly tinted windows which from the outside makes it look like they’re closed all the time but they’re open everyday

There is one star in this review and that is only because the lady(owner?) is very kind and attentive. Although I will say that I’m tired of Asian-owned restaurants constantly asking me if I need a fork. Just because I am not Asian doesn’t mean I don’t know how to use chopsticks. It gets old and it’s somewhat insulting. Stop it now. As for the food, I wasn’t impressed. The rice cake was overcooked, and the kung pao chicken was terrible. The meat was very fatty and poor quality. The beef and chinese broccoli wasn’t much better. The noodles were ok, but the meat was very cheap. I didn’t try the fried rice they claim to be the best in Houston. I doubt I will go back. The place felt like it was dirty and needed a good scrubbing. Also, I don’t like the fact that they allow their child to go back and forth into the kitchen. Sorry — not a good experience at all.

They claim the best fried rice in Houston. Uhhhhhhh No. Dried out crunchy rice. Its cheap but u do get what u pay for. Place is dirty. The condiment dishes are sticky and looks like hadn’t been cleaned out in a year. They ran out of hot mustard … Cheap meat. Flavor ok. Only thing pretty good were Chinese egg rolls they are huge but they were greasy.

I have only ordered one thing off of their menu. I have driven by so many times on my way to work and always wondered about this place. I made the decision to stop by one day feeling a little under the weather and just ordered the wonton soup. It was just what I needed at the time and do cheap for a big thing of soup. It wasn’t your basic wonton but had some pork and veggies in it too. If their other dishes are as flavorful as the broth in the wonton soup, then I’m sure I’d like it. FYI this place is run by Vietnamese ppl and have a lot of Vietnamese dishes.
