I am a faithful customer of this location! My daughter’s friend got us hooked on this place. I love the Italian Tart with mochi and Boba! Best snack ever… without the excess sugar and calories. Giving it 4 stars because of all the kids hanging around eating free yogurt while their friend(girl w/black hair) works and takes care of customers. At any rate, I’m there 3 – 4 times a week! #Loveit!

Stopped by at 9:15pm on Mother’s Day for a treat. Employee was leaning over the counter right in front of the door, eating a sandwich, with a store full of customers when we arrived. As we walked in the door, she shoved the last bite in her mouth and proceeded to lick her fingers, one by one. DISGUSTING! You work in food prep! We walked right back out the door.

I love sweets in general. L-O-V-E. I really enjoy yogurt though. I live in Stafford and go to school in the Texas Medical Center. So, I travel up and down various parts of our beautiful city and have tried various yogurt places in Sugar Land, Memorial, Galleria, Rice Village, and so on. With this being said, no matter what area I am in, I have absolutely no problem driving to the Royal Oaks location to get my yogurt fix. Ask me why… The Royal Oaks location is FREAKINGCLEAN, FLAWLESS. No dirty sticky floors, no spills all over the machines, no toppings mixed within another container. I mean this place is CLEAN. Various yogurt places in our favorite malls need to take some lessons from this store, in terms of cleanliness. Being clean is a BIGDEAL to me and i am SO very impressed on how well TCBY Royal Oaks maintains this store. A+++ The staff is very friendly and sweet. The yogurt is amazing. its only 43 cents an oz. I always get chocolate with brownie and strawberry toppings.(yummm, I’m drooling just thinking about it!). In fact, I wonder what time they close I want some right now! Oh and they also have the nutrition facts on the label! for all you calorie counters out there! They also have sample cups so you can try any flavor you want! The décor/layout of the establishment is really pretty modern, trendy and cool. They have a white wall that lights up into different colors. It is so pretty! especially at night! And As for the previous comment below who stated«The biggest problem with this place is the layout. FROYO is best enjoyed via a date, small family, or a group of friends, and there are no tables for a group of 4. «I’d have to DISAGREE with this statement although I can see what he is trying to say. I do not find the layout a problem at all. His description of it will leave you will a false picture in your head of what It’s actually like. My friends and I are all college students and we love to do things together.(you know study, cram for test, eat out, party, you know work hard play hard). So, we went to this TCBY for a study break(4 of us– 2 boys, 2 girls) and we lounged on the chairs and stool thingys that surround a table for like 30 mins. yeah we sat at two little tables, but guess what they are RIGHT and i mean RIGHT next to each other. I didn’t even notice that we weren’t sitting at the same table. and neither did they, we were too busy talking and shoving our faces. I’ve also been there on a date with my best friend and we sat at a little table together and brought a laptop and stalked people on fb(lol jk). no but really! they have free wifi, bring your laptop or ipad because, you could even study or read here. its not loud at all. Its location is pretty good, you can have lunch or dinner at any of the restaurants in the same plaza then walk on over to eat some yogurt! its win win! Anyways to sum it up. This place is clean, and yummy. Its good if you wanna stay eat and study/read/play games/fb or if you just wanna grab some to go to eat at home. whatever floats your boat. oh and go to their TCBY Royal Oaks facebook page and like them, lol i love goggling or utilizing coupons(im a baller on a budget man! college student! LOL), anyways you get 10% off if you«like them on fb»

I’m really sad at how far TCBY has fallen. It reminds me of Kodak and how they basically created digital photography, yet found a way to fail because they didn’t adapt. TCBY was the yogurt king before froyo was a cool thing. But yet all these new places jumped in and TCBY just didn’t adapt. Well with this location it resembles all other FROYO joints. Self serve with toppings by the ounce. The biggest problem with this place is the layout. FROYO is best enjoyed via a date, small family, or a group of friends, and there are no tables for a group of 4. They still kept my favorite flavor: White chocolate mouse. And that’s where the positives end. The Orange sorbet’s texture was terrible. The blackberry was forgettable. On the date I went it was 43 cents per ounce. The mochi was terrible also, don’t even know how that happens, but tasted stale.

I always tend to crave something sweet on the weekends. Whether it be a piece of cake or ice cream, I like to treat myself every now and then as I try to eat pretty healthy during the week. This weekend while driving down Westheimer, I noticed a new TCBY had just opened near Royal Oaks. I immediately thought to myself«Weekend treat-TCBY!!!» I can’t remember the last time I’ve been to a TCBY. It seems like they all disappeared off the face of the earth! To see one open up made me anxious to stop. Before I knew it, I was pulling up to the store, slick excited about my decision to indulge in some good yogurt! It’s clear that TCBY has done some re-branding. Could it be that I haven’t visited one in sooo long that I failed to even notice? Hmmmmm, I don’t know! One thing’s for sure, the new locations look nothing like they used to some years ago. There is definitely a new«feel» at TCBY. The décor is very modern and chic. This particular location is pretty small, but nice on the inside. Everything is self serve. There seems to be a big focus on nutrition, as they have lots of healthy options, which is a plus in my book! They have a variety of yogurt flavors and allow you to sample whatever you’d like. That’s always the the fun part! I couldn’t get enough of the cake batter flavor. So good! Once you’re done fixing your treat, they measure the yogurt by the ounce and then you pay accordingly.($ 0.43 per ounce by the way… at least that’s what my receipt said) This location only has Soft Serve. I love, love, love Hand Scooped, so I was a little disappointed they didn’t have that option. However, the Soft Serve was good. I had the Golden Vanilla mixed with the Cake Batter flavor and it was great! The toppings really set it off! They also have TCBY Loyalty cards. You can earn points every time you make a purchase. For every 30 points, you get a $ 3.00 store credit. You just have to activate it online, which reminds me, I need to do that! I’m sure I’ll earn some points every now and then, being that I do like yogurt and this location is convenient for me to get to. With that being said, I look forward to going back and trying some of the other flavors! TCBY definitely hit the spot and I’m sure I’ll be back again!
