Tee Deli

UPDATE: Im still crushing her stuff! Everything is always so fresh. She is the queen of comfort food. Whenever I’m hung-​over, or had a rough night of marathon watching chick flicks, all I need is some Mrs. Tee’s pork roast, mash potatoes and fried Okra and suddenly life is worth living! Mrs. Tee also makes trays to go for dinner.

I don’t even know where to start! This place is a HIDDEN GEM! I’ve been coming here for years and the prices never change. Ms. Tee is open from 7AM-​4Pm Monday-​Friday and for just $ 7 you can get a hot lunch entrée, drink, and 2 sides. If you don’t want the drink, it’s only $ 6 and the portions are just as generous as they are delicious. I have even brought my Vegetarian friends who got Veggie plates for $ 4.25. Ms. Tee also makes a delicious Veggie Burger sandwich. Some of the workers in the building come for both breakfast and lunch and I can see why. There’s a little something for everyone and the cookies are a little piece of heaven. I love everything here from the grilled chicken sandwich to the Shephard’s Pie.

Super nice lady, and very decent food. I gave it 5 stars for the value and the bacon cheeseburger was actually pretty dang good. The place is a hodgepodge of other stuff for an office building deli — from nail polish to earnings and snacks — but if you are in the neighborhood, it is good grub. I think she was a little surprised I stopped in to eat and I don’t work in the building. But for $ 6.50, I got a bacon cheeseburger, fries and a drink. Can’t beat it!

So why is a little deli located in a business building getting 5 stars? Because out of all the little delis located in business buildings, Tee’s is the best. Tee is sweet, she keeps her place clean (albeit a little cluttered) & she offers up fresh, tasty food. No powdered eggs that are scrambled (and usually with pancake mix to make them fluffy) & sitting on the warmer but real eggs that are made per order. Her breakfast tacos are $ 1.50 or you can get a couple for a buck. The hot sauce is really, really good with a slight kick. For lunch, I have tried her grilled chicken salad ($ 5.75) with her homemade vinaigrette is very delicious. I haven’t tried much else on the menu but I hear the burgers are outstanding! This is a cash only business (which I’m thinking keeps the prices down).

The best place ever for a home cooked meal. The staff is great and they are willing to go a long way to make what you want. You can never go wrong with the breakfast tacos. Everything is made fresh. My favorite dish are the burgers. They are to die for. The portions are great. You get more bang for your buck. Go and try it out, you won’t be sorry!

The best bacon cheeseburger in all of Houston! I repeat, the BEST! The service is top notch and the customers are always having a blast with the staff. Although my favorite is their burgers, they have perfected every dish they make. Their drink and snack selection goes for days. The portions are huge and nothing is expensive. Check this place out!
