Texas T Tavern is an amazing place! I discovered it by accident, and now I’m in there 3 – 4 times a week. My friends have all discovered it, and love it too. Great staff, friendly people, good drink prices, and a killer food truck! Wednesday night’s are my favorite. Wednesday night’s have steak dinners, drink specials, and live music. It is my favorite bar in town.

Texas T is always a chill spot for drink with a group of friends. The crowd is older as well mixed in with a younger crowd. Make sure to have your ID because they check at the entrance. Texas T even has live music on some Friday’s, and karaōke. What I like is how they play a mixture of music new and old. For more entertainment besides drinking this bar has pool tables and a few other games around. They even have a update jukebox. It not only has inside sitting but outside as well on patio. The only downside about this place is parking. Like it almost took me 10 minutes finding parking last time on a Friday. Most people park on the street of the neighborhood beside the bar. Forward that I totally recommend at night out with friends at Texas T. Just drive together or come early for parking. Plus they have reasonable pricing for drinks, and you get what you pay for(Meaning in a good way.) Hope you try it out!

I can care less about how cool a place looks. A cool looking place with bad customer service is not a place worth visiting, i go out looking to have a good time, not to be insulted. Ive always had a strange feeling about this place and my first time visit to this«dive» confirmed my intuition. #1. took forever and a day for the bar tender to even acknowledge me(wasnt even that busy, seemed like he was more concerned about serving up the already drunk regulars) #2. The bald bartender was rude, he mocked me when i tried getting his attention(i get it, you dont like hearing slang, but guess what, you chose to be in the customer service field… take pride in your job by being kind to people that choose to speak different from you) #3. The bartender gave me house gin after i asked him for bombay(yeah i know sounds petty right? But to me that was like spitting in my face. after the ridiculous long wait and being mocked in front of strangers for the way i choose to speak, giving me the wrong drink was the last thing i needed) FYI, i was never rude or loud, i didnt even have a frown on my face while this was going on, i simply finished my drink and left quietly with my buddy. Nope never visiting this place again, wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Drinks are cheap and strong! The only downfall is the parking! Cool chill hangout place!

Were in from out of town to watch a kid’s sporting event. Used reviews to find this place and weren’t sure when we pulled in if it was even open for business. Asked the female bartender we saw, who didn’t even say«Hi» when we came in(we were the ONLY people in there) if it was indeed open an received a curt, «Yup.» We looked around and realized it might not serve food and asked her to clarify for us… Received an even more curt, «Nope!» Having been a server and in several customer oriented jobs I would never have considered speaking to a customer — especially one who would be leaving a tip — with that kind of attitude. My husband and I had thought we’d just stay for a beer until that second answer and we just left. **Note to the rude bartender… You will make more money if you’re friendly and engaging. Try that and see how it works… You may be really surprised. We have fun with our servers and leave 25% to those who are fun with us back… Attitude and rudeness? Not such a good tip. On the good side? Was clean, cute and looks like it could be a fun place if the service was friendly.

Cool little bar right around my area. My friend, who happens to be a regular there, told me about it. Went on a Saturday night to kill some time before a long night out, really just went to get a feel of the place. People there are friendly, the bartenders are cool, drinks are cheaper than a lot of other bars, and the live music was pretty good. Can’t wait to go back. The type of bar you can go alone after work or with some friends to watch the game and have a few beers with the regulars.

Been a few times – only giving it a 3 because of the awesome TV’s for watching sports. Service is horrible – bartenders are slow as hell.

Great place and a great atmosphere, I came in here thinking it was going to be a regular joe get your beer and go place but it wasn’t .i came here on opening day a while back and it had a decent numbers of customers coming in so I decided to come tonight. I got here after 1 and i got a corona bucket for 21 bucks and then I got two blue moon pitchers for 26. I had fun, met new people and watch some sports. They also had games like pool and a variety of music. They close at 2 and they give you a 15 minute to leave after which I like because you can chill before you have to go. I will be visiting this place every week.

I am a huge fan of dive bars and icehouses. It’s probably strange reading that from a person who has traveled plenty and has lived in 5-star residences around the world. I adore the little unknown gems and dive bars of the world. I met a friend of here for a Rockets game. This used to be the Brittmore Icehouse and it reopened earlier this year as the Texas T Tavern. It’s actually nice a little dive bar/icehouse. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and after the Rockets game, it was karaōke night. The drinks are fairly good and strong. And cheap. They have bartender there that looks like Mr. T from the A-Team. There’s tons of parking up and down Brittmore and coincidentally I bumped into a some random people I hadn’t seen in years at a place like that. I don’t think there’s any food, but they do have a band and a DJ on Fridays/Saturday nights.

This place reminds me of that 18th bar on Washington Ave, but way better ambience and way better crowds. The bartender is awesome and you won’t he left hanging in there. They also have several billiard tables if you are into that(0.8TPA here!). Overall an awesome place to chill late night, especially if you’re going alone.

Awesome place with great ambience and fun people with class, primarily interested in watching sports on the 80″ flat-screen televisions inside and outside. Entertainment on a raised stage above crowd for bands, karaōke, and other scheduled venues. Also available for private parties. That’s all for now, folks!
