Great place to grab a drink and some amazing food. I love that you can order from Hungry’s(just ask for a menu) or order off the bar menu. This place also has comfortable seating both inside and out. The porch behind the bar is worth checking out during the evenings.

Visited per Unilocal reviews. I really like the space. Service was decent. Mojito was delicious! Oh and the 3bucks fruit and cheese platter was yummy and soooo worth it!

Went here for a brunch one Sunday. Had the eggs Benedict. It was so good! The service was fast and very good. The food that I got was spot on and full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The seating is a bit strange, but I liked it. They have sofas and outdoor patio type furniture in the outdoor area. It makes for a great relaxing feeling for groups.

Excellent! Absolutely glad I came here. Wings were great. Pizza was great. I love the indoor/outdoor concept, especially on a spring evening. Perfect place to watch a game in a nicer environment(they have a dress code) than you would usually find at a sports bar. This is a legit sports bar with a serious wine and beer list. I’m giving them 5 stars even though their taps were out of order(shit happens). They have it all together — TVs, food, and drinks — which can be a rare find. I’ll come back here when staying on the west side of Houston. The restaurant(Hungry’s) looks like it would be worth a try, as well.

I’m loving the midtown vibe on the west side of town. Last minute planning and I’ve been wanting to come check it out; It was the perfect remedy for the end of the work week. It’s really open, lots of outdoor seating and pretty spacious inside too. The doors are always open so it gives a nice airy feel. They also have a huge projector outside, got to watch a bit of basketball. Figured we would order a bottle instead of glasses of wine. The Joseph Carr was a good choice. Sweet with a good kick. Ordered the mushroom pizza which was kind of lackluster, but once you get a good buzz it’s pretty good either way. The baked goat cheese though. amazing. Overall, I loved finding this gem. Great spot to hang out.

We came here after my friends got engaged and it was a perfect place for a big group. There was about 12 of us and the seating was great. I only had the white sangria so as far as that goes, don’t get it. I didn’t like it. My friend got the jalapeño sunrise and she didn’t like it either so I mean the drinks were okay but we may have gotten less popular items. The goat cheese with baguettes was delicious! The bread pudding and the lava molten cake were also a hit. The waitress got a little confused since we all had separate checks and wasn’t too friendly but maybe she was having a bad day or was new but overall it was a good experience and a nice place for a large group.

By the time I got to Next Door, I was hangry. And I’m basically a ticking time bomb when I’m hangry. Not good. But things started to look up as soon as I walked into Next Door. The service was quick, the ambiance was trendy and a bit intimate(not that my hanger cared about that), and the food/drinks were on point. I saw the menu and wanted EVERYTHING but finally decided on the shrimp tacos and a white wine sangria. The shrimp tacos, which had a delicious honey habanero aioli drizzled on top, were absolutely delicious and flavorful. The white wine sangria was refreshing and definitely hit the spot. Though delicious, I still wasn’t satiated(and neither was my company), so we ordered the Mushroom pizza which came with button and portobello mushrooms, crushed red pepper, arugula, basil pesto, topped with a fried egg. We added bacon because bacon. It was delicious! My only gripe was that there was only one egg on top. So much pizza, so little egg. Overall, I had a great experience with the food and Hangry Priya was fairly satisfied. My only con comes from the fairly small portion sizes but then again, I was ordering off the bar bites menu so I should have expected bites and not boatloads.

I had a wonderful time here. I came on as Wednesday. The drinks were great! Service was awesome. Ally was great and has a overall great personality. Patio seating was great as well. Cons: music is bit too loud. Parking could be difficult at times. drinks were a little over priced. Beef Nachos– beef taste great. Tortillas weren’t crunchy and it was a bit messy since the tortillas were too soft.

Really enjoyed this place. Ashley was our waitress and she was the best! We had the Sriracha wings and goat cheese appetizers. Both were excellent. The atmosphere was great as well as a clean facility.

Wife and I decided to meet some friends here over some drinks and snacks. The place has both tables and sofas to chill, so it’s cool to have a choice. It was a Sunday evening, so we thought it would be busy, but we were the only customers there. A few tables did come in a bit later, though. Decent beer selection, good assortment of bar foods(the sriracha wings were really tasty), and a nice looking glass floor. So, why the bad rating? Well, maybe the server thought the night was slower than she imagined, so she decided to give herself an extra tip on top of mine(for the record, mine was over 20%). So, an extra few dollars was charged to my account without my knowledge. I contacted the restaurant a few days later and was able to speak to a manager. He said that it would be taken care of. It’s been about a month and a half, and I have yet to received the refund. I know it is not an out of this world, mind blowing, reality warping amount. But it’s not the right way to do business, either.

Next door is pretty awesome… nice staff, good drinks and great happy hour specials! Sometimes a little empty to have a great atmosphere but hey, it’s the company that counts! Best bar in the area for an after work drink for sure.

What a great visit! Super friendly staff, great bar bites, comfy atmosphere. Honestly the furnishings could use a little sprucing up. They’ve got small walls of wine selections embedded under glass in the floor. Very cool! Unfortunately, the glass is heavily scuffed as you can imagine. But you can still appreciate the design. There’s this whole indoor outdoor thing going on that keeps the bar nice and airy … and mosquito friendly. Their mojito is amazing!!!

Waaay back in February, I was having quite the time trying to find a venue for H’s 50th birthday bash. Since his birthday falls on Halloween, many places wouldn’t even talk to me or gave me day options. Seriously? During the day? He ain’t turning 13. Since we have dinner at Hungry’s about once a month(& remembering going to Next Door for Cherry’s b-day a couple years back) I decided to contact ND. I sent an email to the events coordinator & Veronica Reyes responded immediately saying the place was available & sent me their catering list with room/location options. I chose the Gold Package & reserved the front covered patio & outside fireplace area. After a couple emails the contract was signed! Boom, October 31st was almost upon us & I emailed Veronica with the final headcount. She sent back a revised contract. I just love doing everything via email as I hate talking on the phone. Hands down the easiest vendor I have ever worked with & their contract minimum is $ 20 food/beverage per person which is ridiculously cheaper than other places(the gold package runs $ 25 per person, I substituted meatballs for tea sandwiches for $ 26 per person). The day of the party I arrived 30 minutes early & the manager, Veronica, Katie & Allie(cocktail waitresses) were on hand to help me set up some balloons. The areas I reserved looked AWESOME& decorated for Halloween. When I told them I had a cake, Veronica immediately jumped into action & set up/decorated a high table. I did set a beverage maximum & advised the people on my tab would be wearing wristbands. People started arriving & I must say Katie & Allie were up for the challenge of keeping everyone happy. Seriously, they kept everyone happy. I got so many compliments on the service & food. When the cake was cut Veronica sliced & served pieces to everyone telling me to go mingle & have fun. Veronica, Katie, Allie & everyone else did an exceptional job. My H had the best time, he was so happy & that is all I wanted. I highly recommend this place for your next party or gathering. This place exceeded my expectations & ensured everyone had a great time.

I’ve been going to Hungry’s and now and Next Door in the Energy Corridor going back to the 90s. It’s family owned, consistent, and accommodating to unusual requests. Lots of after-work gatherings from folks in the energy corridor at Next Door during happy hour. And their happy hour food prices are amazingly low.(note that those start at 3PM.) Food — the bar has it’s own kitchen so they serve food up until 12PM or whenever the bar closes. Patios — they have two outdoor patios, and one indoor patio similar to an old ice house. Plenty of fans to keep everyone cool on the not so cool days in Houston. The inside is nicely air-conditioned of course. What else? hmmm. They are a family friendly establishment(this isn’t Washington Ave after all.) And everyone looks after each other. Plenty of Ubers in the area as another benefit so everyone keeps it safe. Internet — great wifi which IS encrypted which matters to remote workers. This applies to Next Door and Hungry’s both(they are connected) Best feature: the people. From the owners to the team of bartenders and waitresses and waiters to the regular customers. It’s chill. And priced reasonable. A great place to watch the game and not worry about a thing. You’ll be taken care of. Things to look out for — if it is a super slow night on a weekday they will shut down early. So if you aren’t sure then call ahead. Another thing to look out for is sometimes it can get pretty packed when a party of 70 people from a local company shows up. But that just means they are doing well and will continue to be around which is a good thing.

Just discovered this place. It’s associated with Hungrys and they serve the food from Hungrys. It’s a great happy hour place if you work in the Energy Corridor! The prices for HH are awesome. Cool relaxed atmosphere, but the parking was a bit tricky as it was very crowded. Will definitely return. Tip: If visiting for the first time, look for Hungrys. The Next Door sign was hard to spot and I drove past it the first time.

I will say that this place is unique and I will return. I have not yet been there for a happy hour however I am appalled that bars/lounges allow children in their establishment. I know there is some law allowing it otherwise I am sure this incident would not occur however when I attend bars it is so I am NOT around children for that time. This is not only establishment where this type of situation has happened but it did occur during my visit on a Sunday afternoon. There is a certain atmosphere that is not suitable for children whether it be the middle of the day or at night. Why do families take children to places for a meal that is a bar as well!!! I understand there are bars in restaurants and I understand that this establishment is affiliated with the restaurant next door, however there is plenty of room for a family to eat on the patio or in the restaurant portion. Now that I have stepped down off of the soapbox the staff was extremely nice and friendly & this place will be visited again. Hopefully there are no children during happy hour.
