I received a gift certificate to The Cigar Place and made my way over on a Saturday to load up the humidor.
I wasn’t very impressed by their selection in the walk in humidor. They have some familiar brands but it’s not as comprehensive as Stogie’s or even Spec’s downtown.
Crowd seemed much younger than in other cigar stores. There were a handful of 20 somethings silently sitting around smoking and watching tv.
The employee working the front counter ended up being a new hire being trained, so I can understand why he wasn’t very helpful while I perused the cigars. I was suprised to not have been greeted or offered help in the 15 or so minutes I walked around searching for certain sticks I couldn’t find.
All in all, not a horrible cigar store, considering there is a limited number of them in town. That being said, I’ve got my standby store and know what’s in the humidor, so will probably just stick with where/​what I know. Good backup to keep in mind though.

If I owned the place, I’d make sure not to hire kids that act like they own it. Strolled over about 9:20 from the Memorial Wine Cellar…
To the hipster/​millennial who made the snide remark.‘we’ll see you tomorrow night’…no, not ever… woold have paid $ 20 for an $ 8 cigar… I’ve bartended, cashed out… not that complicated… I live close by… will take the time to go elsewhere moving forward and be sure my buddies will do the same…

Awesome spot! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Even saw them take their time helping a new afficinado find out what he may like. I really can’t say enough about the staff, they made you feel like you were an old friend.
Their selection, while maybe not as extensive as some places, is still more than adequate. They cover everything you might want.

The cigar selection is not expansive but it is very well thought out. Most of what I want is in stock and the prices are as good or better than even internet prices. I love the atmosphere! It is quiet, cool, comfortable, convenient with the very high speed wifi, 5 flat screens to choose from, fully stocked refrigerator with beer and water, and the chairs are so cozy I can drift off if I’m not paying attention. Hell, put some Matlock on and bring me an electric blanket and I may never leave. No, I’m kidding. Matlock sucks.

First time there was during the room 101 cigarmagedon event … been trying to find time to come down here for the longest so glad I came the staff and environment was amazing … worth the drive and I will be back more often

This place is top rate in every aspect. Great selection, things you won’t find anywhere. The young man that helped us knew the inventory like the back of his hand. A great experience. 30 minutes for where I live and I will be back.

The staff here is super friendly & very customer focused. This is a very nice space, with a nice size humidor and competitive prices. The seating area in the back is of good size, plenty of comfortable chairs, tables and three flat screens. We were made to feel very welcome and offered complimentary drinks when we sat down. We came in late on a Saturday afternoon so my Fiancé could get a nice stick and catch the last half of a football game. The patrons were also very friendly as well. I love the art work they featured, it helps to create a nice comfortable atmosphere. We will definitely be back & tell our fellow cigar friends about it.
