Conveniently located right across the street from Minute Maid Park. We came to grab a quick drink before the game. They were a little pricey $ 6 for a beer but ok. It’s open with lots of fans around so it does keep you somewhat cooled off.

Made a trip to the B.U.S. before and after the Astros kicked the Cubs’ behinds and this is a really fun place! Me and a few girlfriends started the afternoon off with a shot of Patron and a beer to chase. That was $ 14…so not shocking. They have some pool tables in the back and the restrooms are better looking that I imagined for it being a «garage» bar. We had a good time dancing, razzing with the Cubs fans that came in after the game and just being silly! The only thing that seemed out of place was the mom with her two kids, opening beers for people after the game. I think they were saving the lids. but really under the age of 10 and in a bar. not the classiest move. I look forward to checking this place out again in the future.

Perfect place to come before or after a game/concert! I have been here a few times before a concert and its always fun. I went last night before the Britney concert. It wasnt too crowded. There were plenty of tables available and it didnt take forever to get a drink. When the weather is nice, like last night, its perfect to sit out on the patio for a drink and its even nice inside b/c they keep the huge garage doors open. The service is good… its your typical sports bar… lots of tvs, big open spaces, fairly clean bathrooms.

You know how people’s yards suddenly become paid parking areas during music festivals, fire work’s displays, and sporting events? That is what The B.U.S. reminds me of. A kind of tailgating or pre-game area for sporting events, only not so shady looking. It’s a garage and lot near the Toyota Center(there’s another one near Astros Field, ie-Minute Maid Park). Part of the former garage has been turned into an icehouse. Nice at this time of year, with the doors open, and many televisions showing other Houston games(Astros and Rockets). As we were heading to the Toyota to watch the Aeros, they were not tuned in just yet. Directly in front of this space is an «outdoor» area with a smoking section to one side and pits with burgers and hotdogs on the other. I didn’t try a dog, but they looked far better than the generic Toyota Center hotdogs. They certainly smelled better. Attached are a couple of lots that are relatively inexpensive($ 5) for the short couple of blocks’ stumble to the stadium. Definitely a plus when most lots in the area are $ 10. To be quite honest, I’m not certain if these prices increase during Basketball season; I don’t care for it. I’m a die hard Astros fan, however, and knowing sports and the limited parking downtown, it’s almost a guarantee that car space rental increases drastically during Rocket’s games.
