I tried this place while was in Houston for work. Now I’m hooked. I tried the 1 lb shrimp boil with firery house special sauce it was delicious but knocked me on my ass. VERYVERYHOT. I recommend try the medium and add heat as necessary. I also ate the trio platter with catfish crawfish and shrimp. Also very good.

Wow! The location is not that great, but this is a hidden gem of a place! The service, the food, the atmosphere make this place very unique. The steam plates are outstanding along with their fried plates are to die for…

Exceeded my expectations. I am from New Orleans were crawfish and seafood is fresh out the gulf. This place is the place to visit when you can’t make it to New Orleans. They are expensive but the taste and flavor makes up for it. Don’t get the corn, potatoes, or sausage.

Service was friendly and fast! The raw oysters were fresh and delicious and were beautifully presented. I love the crawfish boil with an Asian flair. The crab wontons were awesome. I had the blue crab pot and it was tasty– a little over cooked but still good-the house special sauce has a nice bite to it. My husband had one of the fried fish platters-it was all fried perfectly. I left with a full belly!

We waited over 30 mins to be seated for them to come tell my mom that they didn’t have much crawfish left. So my mom asked to order Togo and they told her that she couldn’t! Then they said they ran out. After leaving pissed off, my mom calls to complain and then suddenly they had some crawfish magically appeared and was told she can come back to pick it up. Um no thank you!

NFL game day specials. Good Crawfish $ 8 pound kinda high although it’s January, but $ 1.50 bud draft makes up for that.

I am not going to fault the entire restaurant for the horrible customer service we received. Upon entry, the gentleman greeted us promptly, and informed us they were out of crawfish and it will not be available for an hour. Cool, we didn’t want the boiled crawfish, so we were seated. Shortly afterwards, a female waitress approached the table, we ordered our drinks and three appetizers. Twenty minutes later, we had to remind her of our appetizers, she then in formed us the stuff cheese crab cakes I ordered has to be handmade(yeah right), but lemon pepper wings we’re on the way. Ten minutes later, we inquired again about our appetizers, but with a gentleman, he returned with our meals, and informed us the boudain balls we’re never ordered. Yep, that’s right, we got our food before our appetizers. Go figure! It was then, we found a kids meal, was not ordered either, clearly she had to be new, had some life issues distracting her are something. Finally wings, balls, and stuff cheese cakes, made it to the table and heck, we had to much food. She disappeared once again, leaving us to ask other waiters and waitresses, for condiments and to go containers, but became visual when it was time to pay the checks.
Overall, food was alright, I wished I would have waited for the boil crawfish, potatoes, corn mix-probaly would have been 10 times better. Geeesh!

Crawfish is stated to be live, uh no it’s not. Waitress is very adamant that they are but they’re not. The pound was stated to be 8.99 but on ticket it’s charged as 9.99 also we asked for some fries to go with our food and they arrived with the ticket and an eye roll if possible by the tallest female waitress. This place is over priced for their previously frozen stuff. I recommend you keep going south to Kemah and really enjoy some good crawfish at the Crazy Allens Swamp Shack now that’s how you set your standards for crawdads. I hope this is helpful I don’t mean to bash this place but if you’re looking for a great place to watch the Rockets and drink some good cold ones then you’ve found your hang out place. Food not so much. I wish I wouldn’t of tip at all but a girl has to make a living.

I’m a BIG crawfish lover! & i have always searched for the best tasting crawfish around Houston. So far this place is one of my favorites, I would say my second favorite. The crawfish are a decent size and their«house» sauce is the bomb! Not to mention their fried oysters are delicious as well. If you love crawfish as much as I do I would suggest you come here! :)

A friend and I was going to the movies i did a search for a eatery before we saw the movie. Theater food just don’t get it no matter how many drinks you chug down. So this location came up so I thought let’s give it a try. Crawfish was still on the list out if season so I didn’t know that was going to work. The hungry platter was ordered w house season hot w garlic butter. And some wonton crab puffs. I assumed the crawfish were frozen they were very little but enough to get your lil fix. The platter was big enough to feed 2 or 3 people good flavor. The wonton crab puffs were so good to me I placed another order being greedy cause I was sitting on full. Not to bad at all waiter was friendly and we were quickly placed at a table it had a nice crowd of mixed people for a Vietnamese place. Will visit again.

We’ve been coming here still and it’s only gotten better. No other crawfish place compares with quality, consistency, friendliness, cleanliness, and/or flavors at The Crawfish Pot. If you haven’t been, you need to come. Bring your friends because they’ll be mad you didn’t.

So far in Houston, this is one of the better places that ive been to. Their sauce is good and their portion is about right but i wish they put their sides into the same mixed bag such as the corn and the sausage because it doesnt have any taste! Let it marinate in the sauce along with the pound of whatever. It sucks just being steamed unless i have to specify. If i knew i would of said something.

I’m only giving them 3 stars, because I actually have not eaten here yet. I get my order to go, so I’m not usually here long. The customer service is good, I’m always greeted by the hostess and I’m able to place my order with ease. They have benches inside and outside as a waiting area, they’ll even come out looking for you if you step away for too long.(I’ve done that.) The crawfish are really good, seasoned well, a good size, and reasonably priced. I’ve had the Cajun mix, garlic butter, and the lemon pepper… all good! The boudin balls are just okay to me. The interior is nice. They have TVs and beer for sure. I’ve heard they can get pretty packed during crawfish season. I’ll have to go back to have seated meal and the opportunity to update my review.

I’ve been coming here since they opened. Good Flavored crawfish, same price as others nearby. My husband and I had our«farewell to seafood» celebration dinner here && he ended up getting a Klump foot from the crab fest. hehe Maybe this was a sign. The Swelling went down a few days later. If you ever saw Eddie Murphy play professor Klump you’ll get my drift. His foot was Huge! !

Decent crawfish on the south side if you don’t want to drive to bellaire. Crawfish were medium to large with a few small stragglers nestled in the bunch. Ordered the hungry home platter: crawfish, king crab, snow crab, blue crab, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes. Since it came with only 1lb crawfish we ordered 3 more pounds and the turkey neck. I preferred the house special sauce(a mix of all the sauces) over the garlic butter. Felt like some of the garlic was burnt which gave it a bitter taste. Ordered spicy but wasn’t spicy at all. Turkey neck is a huge portion but a little on the salty side. A plus is there are tv’s everywhere if you want to grab a bite and watch the game. Service was a little off but it was pretty packed since it’s the nba playoffs.

So I decided to try this place due to a recommendation from the crawfish chasers. Came in about 2:30 on Saturday and thankfully they were not busy yet plenty of open tables. It took a little bit of time to be greeted because the host was in the kitchen but a staff member went to let him know I was waiting. Waitress greeted me and I ordered 1 lb garlic 1lb house special(lemon pepper, garlic, and Cajun mix) 2 pieces of corn & sausage. The waitress brought my drink and all the condiments. The food and out in a decent amount of time. I came at just the right time. Food came out. Crawfish was fresh and big. Waitress checked on me after I got my food and then She didn’t come back for a good 20 – 25 minutes. The time is not an issue the fact that I needed water was she wasn’t around I had to ask another server who was busy too. She asked the bar to make me a water but got tied up. So rather than stay coughing with spices and not have something to cook my mouth down I got up from my table and walked over to the bar for my water. So again this crawfish was fresh, big, flavorful and really good. I was in love. I think I’m a crawfish crackhead. No seriously I am. It’s addicting I’m about to eat my leftovers right now. So this would have been the perfect dining experience if my waitress didn’t forget about me. I know service is a part of a this review but I won’t base my whole experience of that one part. I did speak to the manager Julie to inform her of my experience. She was receptive to the info and offered to take something off. I politely declined as I was not looking for a discount just wanted to provide feedback. I will be back.

Ok so here’s a heads up before you come here: expect a long line and a crowded entrance. On the weekends it gets pretty bad and honestly that’s why I’m giving this place 4 and not 5 stars because the size of this restaraunt. So the food is absolutely delicious. I’ve been here about 6 – 7 times, including yesterday, and have to say everything I’ve tried is very flavorful. They give you a good portion. I always order the crawfish(medium, garlic butter)(medium, lemon pepper) and butterfly shrimp! Yum! It comes with a side of sweet and sour sauce. The staff was pretty short-handed during the first few times I’ve visited. Looks like the popularity of this restaraunt grew and so they hired new waitresses! Yay! All in all, great place for seafood! Just be sure to have patience when you come here.

I love this place! It is an Asian-own crawfish joint, yet it is so clean and nice! Food: First, we tried the St. Charles oyster. It was yummy. The oyster taste fresh! Second was the crawfish, mild house sauce. It was tasty without being overly salty. It wasn’t that spicy, which was prefect for me cause I’m a hot sauce wuss. Third, was the lemon pepper wings. The wings tasted good but the other dishes were better. The last thing we got were the oysters. I love their oyster bar. If you have a chance I would recommend sitting there! Also, get their special oyster! It’s delicious!!! The service was good. If you have a chance, ask for Amy. She was very nice, have good recommendations and made the experience pleasant despite the fact that we came on Sunday afternoon when it was super busy. Most importantly, it pass the bathroom test. The bathroom was clean and there was no trash on the floor! If you are in the area, I would recommend this place for crawfish.
