Friendly service, amazing selection given the small size of the store and pretty decent prices as well. Slightly more expensive than Specs but I can walk here from my apt, so that offsets the difference to me. Decent little cigar section too. I imagine it could easily get quite crowded as the shelves are pretty close together.

Impressed! Well stocked and the girl who works there was very cool. Help me weed though a good selection of beer. For a small local store it is well stocked with fine wines, good beer and everything else.

I used to come here more often, since it is just down the street from my townhouse. I love Spec’s but sometimes convenience is king. Their prices are bit higher but when you’re in a bind they are not ridiculously marked up. Plus they do have a $ 10 off $ 100 on Unilocal if you check-in. The guy is always nice and often times on the weekends they will have some kind of tasting. It’s a bit tight so be aware of your surroundings so that you do not knock something over or allow someone else to squeeze through.

The only reason why it doesn’t get five stars is because of all the bums that stand around here asking you for money as you walk in and out. The owner is really nice and engaging, always ready to assist you or give you samples for different liquors. Its a little packed but rarely crowded. I’ve been trying to get in shape lately and cut down on the drinking so this place is seeing less of me, however, I try to remain a loyal customer to this place when I do need to grab something to make drinks.

This store is a hidden treasure! Who knew this store had such a great selection of nearly everything you would want tucked into this strip center conveniently located on Holly Hall @ Knight Rd.?! It’s where we always stop for everything we need for Texans’ tailgating as well as any other excuse to make it by there. The owners & staff are super friendly and eager to help — just ask ‘em!

I often grab a six pack of beer or a bottle of wine here because of the location within walking distance to our apartment in the medical district. The pros are they have a decent wine and liquor selection and they put older bottles on sale to keep inventory moving. They also have a very friendly and knowledgeable manager who works the floor and can point you toward a good taste for the evening. The cons are their selection of craft beer is very small. Their pricing is also skewed on certain items so you have to be more price and less taste conscious. Also, it’s next to both a metro bus and metro rail stop which occasionally attract shady characters and smelly bums. Ending on a good note, if you go in here on Friday or Saturday, you can usually get free samples from many companies promoting their new liquor. It’s never that crowded so you can usually have a couple.
