Great location to stop in and grad something you need in a hurry! Dressing room attendants need to lighten up and be more friendly.

Beware the self-righteous nazi fitting room attendant. Usually, I have no complaints about TJ maxx. Sometimes the inventory is good sometimes bad, but nothing to complain about ya know? Well, I came here with the BF who wanted to try on swim trunks. I went and tried on a few things as well but then he wanted my opinion on a few of the swim trunks he picked out so I headed over to his fitting room. This lady immediately started yelling at me saying I wasn’t allowed to go into a men’s fitting room… what the hell? I told her I would be out in just a moment, he didn’t want to go out and everyone see him half naked so she was all like, «I’m calling the manager!» At this point I’m like, sure, call him. I would be THRILLED to converse with him about your stellar attitude and tact. Manager comes over and by this time the BF is pretty pissed too and the manager seems pretty apologetic, she didn’t understand my original request… whatever. I hope she doesn’t work there anymore. I really don’t see how it is more appropriate to have a grown man walk out in swim trunks for his gf to get an opinion than to have her check them out In the privacy of a fitting room. 21st century lady!

Oh TJ Maxx… How I love you… Let me count the ways… 1. Your location is tucked off the main street. Hidden from most people unless they know you are there. The neighborhood feels

Located in an older center, TJ is my favorite of these types of discount stores. A bit on the small side compared to other locations, but had a nice selection of items overall. Mainly spent my time in the kitchen section. Found something to my liking in the clearance section. Prices weren’t as cheap as I was hoping. Guessing the area causes markups?

Not the best TJ Maxx. but I usually find better deals on things like The North Face clothing and shoes when all the other TJ Maxx sells out. Store quality is lacking, but the friendly faces make up for it.

You get super awesome deals here on good clothes here. I don’t buy any of my work out clothes anywhere else except here. Good place to find good deals but it is bargain shopping so it’s a hit or miss

Men’s fitting rooms locked, i look to employees talking with themselves for help nearby, they dont even notice me, so I walk over to women’s fitting rooms and they tell me to go to the desk and ask for the key, I wait 30 minutes in line and then when it’s my turn the cashier gets the same girl that i had asked before to come over and she never says a word and opens the door, I say thank you, she says nothing back. Great store as far as products but just annoyed that isn’t easier to just try on something, and a slight ounce of niceness from the ice cold employees would help some.

Even 5 years ago I could get excited about finding a real deal, not now, no wow factor, extremely low inventory, disappointed that the store had gone down the drain so rapidly. Never have I left TJ Maxx empty handed, a first for everything.

Your typical, run of the mill TJ Maxx. No Runway section here. The only Runway TJ Maxxes in Houston are the ones on W. Alabama and Richmond. This place is cleaner than other TJs. Easy parking, clientele is not ghetto, and of course the sales people ignore you here. Fine by me.

In a pinch, I’ll go here. But if I have time, I’ll go elsewhere — to basically any other location! This place is always a mess, and the staff are never friendly. I’ve gone into the bathroom on a few occasions, and it’s ALWAYS gross. Seriously. Not just«dirty» but rather completely neglected and run down. I took two pics on my phone on the last trip as «evidence» — hopefully I can upload those. Trust me, those are a good SAMPLE of what you may find — not just a freak-ish one time incident… it’s every time. One time I went in and there was no toliet paper, so I let the cashier know when I checked out, and she was like«oh that sucks» — and didn’t seem to click that she could take action and request more TP be installed. Prices are no better here than the other locations, so I’ll stick to shopping elsewhere unless I’m really crunched for time. It’s really unfortunate that the store isn’t well cared for and staff don’t seem motivated to be friendly and helpful — the product inventory is great!

(2) Lazy managers here, Mr. Powell and Mr. Collins. They let the employees run wild, be abusive, racist, and have let this store go down, don’t do anything, don’t move forward, no progress. Also, there is(1) strange Latino female manager(evil) that badly needs to be fired for bullying employees… I think their resentment /behavior stems from these managers thinking their location should be in a better location /better parking, etc. — but this is no excuse for an entire TJ Maxx store to let go down. People don’t work here; employees argue at the fitting rooms and cashier stations. Young people that don’t work/tattooed/party types/w/breasts showing seen here. I prefer the River Oaks and Galleria locations; they have it together /better energy.

If my not so reliable memory serves me right, I can say that this is one of the best TJ’s I’ve been to. I hadn’t visited in years, and when I recently went by it was pretty nice still. They have lots of cute items for sweet prices. I do mean cute stuff too, not like some outlets that yeah. it’s cheap, but you’re digging through countless grandma sweaters.(No offense, Granny.) The housewares are really pretty too, which is where I usually end up, there and the coats sections. Yes, when would I wear a coat here? But I still love them. It is also pretty neat(in most areas) and doesn’t look like someone just tossed what they didn’t like across the room and fifty people walked all over it. Employees? They’re 50⁄50. But who cares when you find a $ 180 sweater for $ 10? Not I.
