Tortilleria La Fe

My family absolutely love this restaurant and we order almost every week or every other week! My dad introduced me to this place for Mexican style rotisserie chicken. The rotisserie chicken are always so tender and flavorful. The corn and flour tortillas are always fresh. There’s so many salsas to choose from. The refried beans are freaking awesome! I recently tried barbacoa and menudo. Both were equally delicious! The barbacoa was flavorful and very lean. The menudo broth was clean with no tripe smell. Yes, there are no hominy but many taquerias and Mexican meat market’s hot bar serves menudo with no hominy. I actually don’t mind it without and my husband who is Hispanic does. Again, many taquerias and Mexican meat market I’ve been to give you a cilantro, onions, and jalapeño mix.
As for the FRIENDLY staff not speaking Spanish, that does not bother me. They never got my order wrong and I do not speak Spanish! I always leave here with a lot of food to eat and share! You know, because sharing is caring.

There’s got to be a better place around here for menudo. Who ever heard of menudo without hominy?! Or not having cilantro on the side. Instead this place assumes that everyone loves onions so they mix it together with the cilantro. Also, no one seems to speak English. I struggled with my Spanish. If the man knew English and continued to speak Spanish, shame on him! I will NOT go back. The barbacoa was tasty but not worth going back. Oh, and there was this woman who hovered over this man like she was making sure I knew he belonged to her. Yep, not going back ever!
