U-Haul Moving & Storage of Copperfield

Worst customer service ever. I booked a trailer from this location, they called and confirmed my reservation the morning of pick up and STILL gave my trailer reservation away. When I showed up there was no trailer for me. And the flippant attitude of the employees was unacceptable.

My husband made an online reservation for a U-​Haul truck one way. We went to pick it up and they had no truck available for us and told us we had been transferred to another location. We called the other location and they had no truck available either and told us to call the Copperfield store! (We were still standing in the Copperfield store) We do not know why we were transferred in the first place.
The two guys at the Copperfield location sat on their butts –and did not bother to look for another truck for us. Basically they could have cared less.
I started calling every U Haul around and found a really nice girl named Shelby in Katy, Texas who took time out of her day to look for a truck for us. She found one in less than five minutes on her computer. Shelby said the guys at Copperfield U Haul could have done this too. I guess I just chose not too. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! NOT!

I am not connected to the owner or employees but I am an U-​Haul customer — I have sent two previous reviews of this location which were not approved. I do believe individuals deserve recognition for extraordinary service. Not all managers are created equal nor are they honest at all storage facilities (competitors) as this U-​Haul has proved to be.
I want to recommend this location because of prompt service, cleanliness, organization, and friendly service during each visit.

We rented a 6’X12’ trailer with ramp from this location yesterday to pick up a 5′ wide UTV we left the uhaul location and went straight to pick up the UTV when we went to load the UTV we realized the the opening in the trailer was just over 4′ wide the dumbest design that you have ever seen.
We immediately called the location to explain that we would be returning the trailer as it would not fit our needs and were guaranteed by the call center that we would not be charged for the rental. Once we returned to uhaul we explained to the guy that we couldn’t use the trailer as it was not a true 6X12 trailer and that we were told that a notation had been made in our reservation.
We were told that even though we had been promised a refund they had to get in contact with a manager so after sitting in the parking lot with our 4 kids for at least 40 minutes I made them unhook the trailer and told them to call me when they figured something out. about 15 minutes later they phoned and said that there would be no refund even though we had only had the trailer for a couple of hours.
This was a horrible experience when we went to pick the trailer up it took forever for both the reservation and also the hook up and twice as long when we dropped it off, the guys were very unprofessional even smoking while waiting on you. I highly do not recommend this facility.

Came here to pick up a trailer and get my truck wired and two hours later I am still here. The staff is disorganized and unprepared to support the amount of customers. I would try a different uhaul location if you can.

Very convenient and excellent rates. The only rental agency that allows towing with it’s pickup trucks. And the trucks all seem pretty new. The one we got for towing our ATVs was new and exceptionally good. Even the staff were polite and courteous.
