Back at Uncle Alberts tonight for a quick drink and an awesome dinner. Service, food and hospitality has not changed in the year it’s been since my first review. Owners wife dressed all pretty greeting everyone making you feel right at home :) This time I took pictures of the food which is AWESOME! Definitely NOT your dive bar people. Great clientel, awesome service, outstanding food and extremely CLEAN! Can’t really get away from the smell of smoke because it’s a BAR, but it’s definitely a fabulous place to go any night of the week :)

I like this bar but when you charge a cover for a band, please have them to start to play promptly. 9:00 usually turns into at least 10:00. Otherwise I could give 5 stars.

Somewhat uninviting from the outside but this is actually a nice place. It’s clean inside and well laid out as far as seating. Drink prices are excellent. Food menu has 51 items and is reasonably priced. There is a diverse crowd and a lot of regulars. Staff is friendly and always made sure I was taken care of. Live music on the weekends, if you come before 930 you can avoid a cover charge if present. If you’re a craft beer drinker you’re not going to find much here. They only had one option which was St Arnold’s. The rest was mainstream. Smoking is allowed inside. I didn’t find the smoke overwhelming but those who are sensitive probably will.

Normally, service is quite good. Tonight it was a total disaster. Waitress kept bringing the wrong fringe to the table(how hard is Titos & soda to remember). Food took over 30 minutes to show up. Asked to put the UH game on at least one of the TVs. That never happened. Closed out one tab because the horrible waitress was getting off. Ordered another drink. Got a bill for what we had already paid for. Just a he mess. We’re it not for the VERY reasonable price for drinks, I would probably not go back again.

Great staff and friendly atmosphere. Only negative is they don’t have Shiner in a bottle. Mixed drinks are good.

Tried it again and they’ve redeemed themselves. Staff was friendly and on top of things, and the kitchen was on point this time. All in all a good vibe going on here, probably because the gals and guys running the place are excellent and run a tight ship. They made Tuesday night feel like a Friday night, so what else can you ask for? It’s called relativity — E=mc2, right? Energy converts to mass and vice-versa, so the mass of your beer transforms itself in your gut into energy, which equates into a good time. Science, people.

I found this place on Unilocal and honestly did not expect the food or service to be any good. I was prepared to give a 3 star review, quite honestly. The service really impressed me and wow, that brisket poboy sandwich was delicious! There’s also a pool table, dart boards, and big screen TVs. I will definitely be coming back here.

I love the staff here! However… Did you know that when you become a bar owner it DOESNOT make you more superior then the rest of your staff, or any of us minions. Did you know that food is prepared in the kitchen, Mr. Superior? Which means smoking while in there is unhygienic! You’re bar is the perfect example of lack of leadership, your highnass. When you have 1 bartender and 1 in training you don’t just stand there, I mean lean against the wall… And watch your staff struggle to serve customers. A customer started helping wash glasses, are you fricking kidding me!!! You have a great staff and I doubt it has anything to do with you and your ability to inspire anyone to work your lazy ass! Your bar was once a place I liked to go but that has changed. Unlike you I work for my money and giving you my hard working money is not something I will continue to do.

Pretty fun place. We popped in here on a weeknight to check it out. They had karaōke on Mondays and free bingo thrown in where you can win drinks. Overall it was a nice experience. The bartenders were nice and the drink prices were great as well. We would come back. Only drawback is the smoking indoors. :(

Little dive bar in Katy. Pretty nice and clean inside despite the smoking indoors. Pool table and tons of projector tvs playing sports. Extremely friendly staff that is very attentive. Seems to be a close community of patrons. Everyone is friendly. BUTTHEBURGER! The burger is amazing! Get it with the jalapeño cream cheese, bacon and mushrooms. It melts in your mouth. Maybe one of the best burgers I’ve had in Houston. And I’ve had a lot of them. The fries are pretty awesome as well. I ordered it two days in a row. I’ll be back.

Well what can I say about this place. Lets start with the memories. Ive been a loyal customer to this place for 7 years now. Some friends and I would go there practically everyday, from free pool Mondays, poker nights, and even karaōke. The place was a shit hole, but It was my shit hole. Lots or memories at that place. Since the remodeling, I must say it was a much needed improvement. The facility is modern, lost of big screens. They also have a projector which is nice for Football. The stage was a nice upgrade too, sounds a lot better then before. Drinks are fairly inexpensive which is a plus. I get my usually Jameson & Coke and $ 4.75 later success! Lots of beer if your a big person, not my thing however. Haven’t had any food since the remodeling so I will not comment on that aspect. Staff is nice most of the time. Raiel the bartender is the King of this place, and a personal friend. Good people. On the Weekend there is a cover. Either $ 3 or $ 5. I guess it depends on which band is playing that night. Place gets busy, but most of time you can still find a seat. One things that grinds my gears is they went from two pool tables to one. Really? I mean yes they made more space for seating, but that one table is always occupied. Its upsetting. More people means more amenities in my opinion not less. It is what is. Go and check it out for yourself.

I have been going to Uncle Albert’s since 2005, The«old» bar was a place where all the locals would gather and enjoy each others company it was in dire need of repairs BUT nonetheless it was an awesome place to work and meet up with friends. The NEW bar is absolutely amazing !!! Same faces — BETTER service — BEAUTIFUL– CLEAN and OMG the food and its presentation is simply AWESOME!!! I like many others were glad to see the re-opening of our HOMEAWAYFROMHOME!!!

The new and improved Uncle Albert’s is our favorite bar. The owners really put a lot of thought into the rebuild. It’s beautiful, clean, great service and awesome food! If you haven’t been in since they reopened, your missing out.

When the noted philosopher Sawyer Brown opined«I ain’t first class, but I ain’t white trash», he could’ve been referring to Uncle Alberts. This place is blue collar, plain and simple. A place where everybody knows your name, probably because a large number of folks come here after work and have their name embroidered over their pocket of their work clothes. Smoking appears to be mandatory, I think I was the only person there not smoking. Above average cover bands on the weekend. Bar service is very good, even when the place is crowded. Pool table was in use non-stop, usually by hard-eyed women who looked like they knew a thing or two about hustling… pool.

As local dives go, Uncle Alberts isn’t bad. The best nights are on Friday & Saturday for Live music, or Thursdays if you like karaōke. Live Music cover charge is $ 3, and they usually start charging around 8:30pm. The Bands consist of local acts — Rock & Classic Rock. Most of the shows are very good. The dance floor is a bit small, and it’s located right by the door, so people coming in usually have to walk through it. They have a huge outdoor patio that allows you to get away from the music if you want to actually hear the conversation you’re having. Thursdays the have karaōke run by «The Rev». If you like to sing — he has an excellent sound system. After talking with him, I found out he’s been in the business for a very long time. He runs a fair rotation, and did his best to maximize the amount of singers. I’ve been to quite a few karaōke shows, and I sounded like a professional singer when I sang at his. Kudos to Rev. There are no drink specials on Thu, Fri, or Sat. Domestic pitchers usually run $ 7, domestic longnecks and pints are $ 2.75. They do have several preimium beers, all at reasonable prices. All in all, this is a great place to go to hang out with friends to sing karaōke or listen to live music. The majority of the age range is late 20s to 40s. Mondays they have free pool.
