A little overpriced on some items and they didn’t have the padfolio I wanted. I did get a 15 dollar Nalgene and they offered a gift receipt. Definitely worth a visit if you have not been in. Parking is insane during the lunch hour everywhere in the Galleria area and this place is no different. Patience is key. All in all impressed and will be back! I received excellent customer service and attention from the time I arrived to check out.

I love having a place to buy true UT stuff. Last time is was there I even grabbed some burnt orange nail polish! They have everything… clothes for all ages and sizes, home décor, nice leather gifts, party supplies, pictures etc. If you need something UT either for yourself or for a gift it is worth visiting the Co-Op I am sure you will find it!

Wow, I went to the Co-Op to pick up my 5K race packet and had the opportunity to shop for the first time. It is awesome, filled with everything imaginable that is related to UT. Yeah!

University Co-op is the perfect store for UT fans. More UT clothes, accessories, novelties, and everything in-between than I could have ever imagined. If you are searching for UT gear, this is your place!

Transplant of college life. Overpriced and randomly branded Longhorn items. They have a lot of events and activities here where Houston based fans can come play. I have seen Bevo here at least once a year as the wranglers will truck him down to motivate the fan base. It is a trendy part of town so you can enjoy a glass of wine at tasting room then head over for some irrational shopping of longhorn dress shirts which you can only wear on Saturdays.

A slice of Longhorn Heaven in aggie-infested Houston! The University Co-Op is a GREAT place to get all your Texas Longhorns merchandise, lots of shirts, jerseys, caps, and other awesome memorabilia. Not quite the Austin Co-Op, but then again, nothing is. Hook ‘Em Horns! \m/

HOOK ‘EM!!! TEXASFIGHT! I’m a longhorn for life so this store is always going to be where all the longhorns will unite to get gifts for others or things that you can gear up on for game days. I probably get wayy too much longhorn stuff here, but it’s a great place to do it. I just think that you can never get too much gear if you’re a longhorn. We are the best and everyone in Houston should know it! :) I’ll be bleeding burnt orange forever and I’m glad that there’s a co-op store in Houston. I spent a lot of time in the one in ATX and it’s awesome that I can do it in Houston too.

If you want to buy a crimson and cream hat, then the University Co-op is probably not the place for you. As a matter of fact, if you are looking for crimson and cream anything, Texas is not the place for you, so just go on back across the Red River where you belong. Anyways, this is a great place for both the casual UT fan just looking for a Longhorn shirt and the die hard, bleed burnt orange type looking for an entire Longhorn wardrobe, autographed #10 jersey, and the Showband of the Southwest’s Greatest Hits on CD and cassette. If you have a friend with a baby shower coming up and you don’t know what to buy, I highly suggest stopping by the co-op, it’s best to get them started early. So, all in all, if you need something for yourself, a friend, or you just want to be surrounded by the glory that is burnt orange, without driving to Austin, stop by the University Co-op, you’ll be glad you did. PS: its 8:36PM on July 7 and OU still sucks!

Hook Em! I’ve been wanting a pair of burnt orange scrubs forever! I finally made it over to the Co-op to pick some up. They have 2 spots right in front reserved for just the Co-op so it makes it easy to come and out. I had a Texas Exes card that gives me 10% off, they took it, no questions asked. The best part of the transaction was the«Green» bag you get your merchadise in.

I had very little school pride as a student, but since becoming a teacher who endorses a college education with every fiber in my being I can now state that I bleed burnt orange! I recently stopped by the store to pick up a UT hoodie for my school’s «college-gear Fridays,» and was pretty shocked by the $ 50 tag. I believe you can get significantly cheaper UT gear at stores like Wal-Mart, and even Walgreens, but there’s more selection at the co-op. And did I mention my new hoodie is über soft??? On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised by the huge assortment of fair-trade clothing for women. I actually helped campaign for sweat-free clothing at the UT co-op while a student, and hadn’t seen seen it materialize until my recent trip to the co-op. I almost bought a couple of these fair-trade shirts just to support the movement, but then I realized I couldn’t justify another $ 20 on top of the $ 50 I spent on the hoodie. Long story short, the store is super expensive but pretty convenient. You can find enough clothes and stickers to impress a class full of 6th graders, and a bunch of junk you don’t need(like a burnt orange dress… ladies, please).

I’ll give Farrah some Longhorn support here and give it up to the University of Texas for recognizing a footprint opportunity and extending its reach into Houston. Eat it, Aggies(just kidding. mostly.). In all seriousness, it’s a brilliant idea. Stick the University Co-op(for those unfamiliar, it’s UT’s «official» bookstore) in the middle of a ridiculously trendy strip mall surrounded by rich Texas alums, and let the money train ride. It’s a one story joint that brings you all things Longhorn – last I went, I picked up some burnt orange scrubs as a gift, saw a rack or two of autographed Earl Campbell replica jerseys, and took a look around for a diploma frame. If you’re looking for some crimson and cream or maroon and white, well, you’ve come to the wrong place, pardner. It’s strictly burnt orange in this house. Everything’s overpriced, but what do you expect? If you’re looking for an orange and white present for your die-hard uncle, boyfriend, newborn, cocker spaniel, etc., etc., you won’t find an easier place to shop at than the Co-op. And bonus points: if there’s something in their catalog that you want but isn’t in stock in the Houston locale, they’ll ship it down from Austin for you, free shipping and all. Hook ‘em.

What in the ham sammich? How the heck has the UT Co-Op Houston not been Unilocaled yet? Well, I consider myself one lucky gal to get this FTR … Braving the treacherous, blood pressure-raising 610/Galleria/Uptown traffic, I *finally* made it out here today. It was my little nephew’s first birthday, and I wanted to add my usual showering of Longhorn propaganda to his already purchased gifts. Yes, that’s plural: I said«gifts.» I’m in the running for«Favorite Tia.» Unlike my days at the ATX Co-Op where fighting the crowds for over-priced textbooks caused early aging, shopping at this UT Co-Op was a pleasure. On my way to the kiddie corner, I did a little detour and found myself rummaging through ladies’ sweats, Polos and sleepwear. On to what I really came for… I found my little Peanut a few onsies, jerseys, a Polo a hat and an adorable two-piece ensemble with a matching hat that he has to wear on special game days. And with this $ 100+ purchase, I was able to spend an additional $ 10 for a 14-inch Longhorn stuffed animal(regular value at $ 40.) Yes, I’m a sucker and fell into that little promo. I really don’t have to go into detail about their other fun Longhorn stuff they have. Pretty much in place of the aforementioned over-priced books, you’ll find overpriced postcards, car decals, party supplies, bedroom décor, pens, planners, clothing … I wouldn’t normally spend that much on UT gear. Lord knows they got enough of my ‘rents money, but if you’re looking for a meaningful gift for a Longhorn, the Co-Op never fails.(Or save some major dough and run over to Marshall’s for some discounted items. Just a tip.)
