Rebranding already, they don’t seem to have been around very long and they’ve already renamed it, redesigned the logo, and renovated the restaurants. That usually spells trouble, like they are not connecting with their target market. And their target market would be people who like Mediterranean food, but it’s a general miss here. The food is bland, meats are tough, and the«kebap» thing falls apart and makes a huge mess when trying to eat it. I would expect the street food found in Germany of the same name to be easier to eat if it is in fact«street food». Go next door and eat at Whole Foods where you can grab a beer too.

My boyfriend and I decided to try vertskebap on a whim one day because we were tired of the same food and wanted something different. The food was great. I had a chicken salad and he had the chicken kepab. We now come on a regular basis. The atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant itself is clean. There’s never really a line which is great cause we can get in and out quickly if needed. I’ve had the chicken and beef/lamb both of which are juicy and very flavorful. The combinations are endless and I can’t wait to come back and try out the new rice bowl. The workers are very attentive and informative.

Came in, was welcome by Daniel and Matt, asked about the beer selection and Daniel recommended the Hefeweizen beer so smooth and tasted great, loved the food!!! Great service. Thank you!

Verts is located right across my neighborhood so I’ve been going ever since it opened. If you don’t know what to get, I’d suggest a beef & lamp kebap. It’s almost like a Mediterranean gyro/panini. They press the bread and add meat. From there you have the option of toppings like veggies and sauces. Their fries are always made to order so it always comes up crispy on the outside and extra fresh, whether it’s regular or sweet potato. I used to come on a regular basis and Cedric always makes sure I’m enjoying my meal. I bring family and friends all the time and no one has disliked it, so. You won’t be disappointed.

So I hate to give them one star, but the food wasn’t good. I had really high hopes for the concept of fast casual Mediterranean food. My favorite place in Houston for Mediterranean food is Phoenicia Deli which is either downtown or in far west Houston. I had hoped for a substitute so I wouldn’t have to drive so far. I wanted good shawarma as I love a pita with a good fillings. The meat is awful. It might look the shawarma roasting on a spit but it’s not good. The meat was dry and salty. I haven’t tried the falafel but I don’t have high hopes. The bread was hard and dry, nothing like a good soft fresh pita or flatbread that most Mediterranean places have. The ingredients are kind of like they have at subway where you can choose what you want and were fresh, which was the only good thing. The sauces didn’t really go well with the flavorless meat. Overall unless they change their formula, seasonings and ingredients I won’t be back, which probably means never.

Love this place. Best option for fast food that’s at least a bit healthier than the alternatives. Love the house style sauces with chicken or beef and lamb. Agree with other Unilocalers that Cedric is awesome. Great food, great service, highly recommend.

Pretty good food over all but the last time I got gyro something tasted a little off and didn’t eat the rest of it.

A great stop for guiltless eating!!! I had the Lamb and Beef kebab with all the crisp veggies and the spicy Cilantro sauce. The staff was super upbeat and kind being it was our first time. Will be returning! Great eats!

Holy Vertskebap this place is good. I’ve seen these places popping up around TX and finally decided to give them a shot and was definitely not disappointed. Food was good, fast, and price was reasonable. The guy who helped me was also nice and even passionate about their product. A fellow foodie which I appreciated. Wish I hadn’t gone so long before trying this place but will definitely be back. Soon.

Decided to try this place last week on my lunch break. A few of my co workers have brought food back to the office from here and it always smells so good! I told the lady at the counter I had never been here before and she was very sweet in explaining the process to me. I chose the Chicken Kebap. It was very tasty! I liked that the sauce is made from yogurt, you can’t even tell, and it’s a much healthier option. The French Fries were made to order so they were very hot and fresh! I was very pleased with Vertskebap and will be going again!

Cedric and his team were the best. They made sure everything was hot and fresh. Can’t beat that Tuesday happy hour(half price drafts)!

This place is alright. Pita sandwich I call it. You could get either chicken or lamb/beef and add whatever vegetables you want and they have grilled vegetables as well. They also have different type of sauces you could get and mix yourself. I got the lamb/beef which you could defiantly taste the lamb which I didn’t like to much and the spicy sauce. I also always get their fries cause it like the small shoe string type fries and is super crunchy.

If you’re tired of burgers, tacos and sandwiches, give Vertskebap a shot. It’s basically a gyro with kebob meat(lamb&beef or chicken) which you can customize with various vegetables and great house sauces

I guess I should write a review since I’ve been the ‘duchess’ of this place for quite some time. I promise. Even if you eat meat, try the felafel. Seriously. Best I’ve ever had. So much so, that I skip out on the beef/lamb combo every time now. Otherwise, I will say that I’m super pleased that the sautéed veggies and feta is now free(they used to charge extra). The line always moves quickly and the service is consistently polite. I guess the only thing I can say that could improve is that the portion of the fries can sometimes be inconsistent. But goodness, still worth it since they’re freshly fried on the spot. Also, I guess I’d prefer if the ketchup wasn’t only available in packets. I wish they had little cups and a big squirt thing. Try this place. It’s so worth it.

My husband describes this place perfectly… A Turkish Subway. You choose your meal, meat, and toppings. You can add sides and a drink, but there is no fancy meal or jingle to accompany that. Before coming here I had no idea what they served. I saw a billboard once saying they served kebaps… Not really very informative if you aren’t knowledgable on this food. Luckily my husband and I were feeling adventurous and that let us here. I’ll go through each part of the business Meat– 4⁄5 Stars– I got the chicken and my husband got the beef/lamb. Both were well cooked and juicy. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch the workers using their mini circular saw to cut the meat. Toppings– 3 Stars– While the toppings were good, there weren’t many. And very few suggested combinations of toppings. My husband enjoyed his Texan toppings, and I enjoyed the few I threw together. The ingredients are fresh and they don’t Nickel-and-Dime you. If they had a few more options, I’d bring their stars up. Side Dishes– 3 Stars– They have fries and falafel bites they make fresh fry and them some chips and fruit you can get. The fries were frozen, but still good. Our falafel was close to burnt, but the worker offered to remake it. Husband liked it, but it was a little too far out of my taste comforts to enjoy. Service– 4 Stars– The guys were nice, there just weren’t enough of them that were skilled. I got the vibe that only one knew how to make kebaps. The ambience was nice in here. Variety of seating and interesting music choice.

Went in today and tried to order 2 kebabs with fresh cut meat from the spit. I was no we have to use up what is the already cut up bin. I did not want old hard sitting in fat in a metal tin meat. I wanted fresh cut meat like you would get in any high end gyro shop like niko niko or any other shwerma shop. To tell a customer no I want do that and allow the customer to walk down the street to jersey mikes to order food instead is stupid. You guys need to wake up and up your game in customer service or you will be gone in a year like so many others like you…

I went to this place several months ago and I’m just now getting around to doing a review. For starters, I have never eaten this kind of food before. This was something that I simply wanted to try based on Unilocal reviews/pictures. At first glance the place is clean and kind of has a feel like«Chipotle». Everything is set out on a little assembly line where you choose your fixins. Everything looked fresh and appetizing. I ordered the beef and lamb thinking it would kind of resemble«Gyro meat». I also ordered it in a kebap with their house sauce. My husband pretty much ordered the exact same thing except his was chicken. The kebap itself looks like a panini/pita but it was actually not really soft at all. It had a dense/dryish texture. I really didn’t care for it. The meat had a really gamey taste and the sauce, oh man the sauce, I didn’t like at all! Lets just say my husband and I took 3 – 4 bites then threw the rest away and went next door to wholefoods to buy a sandwich. I gave them 2 stars because everything was fresh and looked great. It just wasn’t in our wheel house for flavor profiles.

SO good. Like SOOoOoOo o oO good. Immediately upon entering verts, we were greeted with a warm welcome. Just to get it out of the way, the customer service here deserves the five stars alone. If anyone of these workers was having a bad day I would have NEVER known. And they weren’t obnoxiously too friendly like some places employees are… they were attentive and on topic their game. Bueno. Now to the food, I ordered a kebap and a small fry and it was plenty. To make the doner right you gotta load it up with all the sauces and toppings and then proceed to bite down into the warm pita as the mess accumulates all over your cheeks just as your inner juvenile self would want it to… Nostalgia. The atmosphere is very laid back as well. I really liked the fact that they have a huge raised family style table. Verdy niiiceee The music was on point to. Well done. You betcha I’ll be back.

I have never seen or heard of this place til yesterday. I was planning to eat at another restaurant with my friends, but the line was too was too long and we decided to head over to the VERTS Kebap at the corner. The menu seems very small, but the food does par up with taste and quality! Yes it’s a kebap, not a kabob! I’d describe this place as deli for sandwiches and salads. Their main menu consists of kebaps(Looks like panini bread pita), wraps, and salads. French fries are deep fried on the spot when you order. They taste great too! It’s not super salty nor bland and dry. I chose to get a snack size kebap with beef and lamb, picked out my custom veggies: corn, onions, bell peppers, and mixed greens. It was topped off with garlic dressing. There are about 6 sauces to choose from. It was a good meal to consume! The red onions were kicking pretty hard though. Their onions were really strong to where I thought I still had some sitting in the back of my mouth. It’s a great place to eat at, but I took off a star because of the price. It is basic, but delicious. I wouldn’t say it would blow my mind. If you look at it, you could say it’s healthy and hearty. They also have drafts, imports, and iced coffee.

So I walk in having never tried«Berlin» inspired food. The smiling manager offered to help me pick something out. I ended up going with the Doner Kebap. Insert Tim the Tool Man grunts here — whoa hoa hoe. The sandwich was huge! Picture being required to have your mouth open like Pac-Man to get this thing in. Now — onto the flavor. One word, Yum. Between the meat, vegetables, add-ons, and sauces — it all just goes together. I will be truthful, in my first visit, Food won. I will have to come back when I am hungrier(and maybe haven’t eaten all day) to see if I can take one of these bad boys down. Can’t wait to come back!
