Everything was really good. Looks like I found my place to eat and spend time. So thanks for good service guys and you will see me everyday

This is a great first date spot, easy on the pocket gentleman. Plus the ambiance is perfect, if the date doesn’t work out then it really wasn’t meant to be. That’s just my two cents. Nonetheless, on Monday’s it’s 8 dollars off a bottle of wine. And for the uninitiated, the staff will gladly guide you on your wine journey. Word of advice, if it’s your first time have no shame lol and just say«hey, I’m trying to branch out from beer» and they’ll assist. Much love and props to previous reviews that brought me to my new spot to unwind.

Perfect first date night! It’s quiet, allowing for easy conversation. Beautiful interior, it smells great, friendly staff, their bar stools are wide and we’ll cushioned(that’s important) and WOW at the selection! They do not serve food but you can order in. They even have a collection of menus from nearby eateries. I’m sure they do their share of business but every time I’ve visited(early afternoon or very late at night) our party pretty match had the place to ourselves. They’ve got a nice party space hidden away at the back of the bar, $ 250 minimum during the week, $ 500 on the weekends. Definitely my favorite wine bar so far.

Vintropolis is in a great location for after work happy hours and meet ups. I happened to visit for exactly that type of work event after work, they have a large area in the back of the shop, not quite a back room but intimate still. There is also a small outdoor seating area with 2 – 4 circular tables that may be nice to sit at during the Houston«Fall»(read: sitting outside during the summer may result in you melting). There is a big selection of wine and they provide big ‘ol pours in your glass too. I could certainly be happy with only one glass during happy hour. If I’m not mistaken, I saw that they sell cigars too so you can purchase one and possibly smoke it outside or at a later time. The reason I’ve rated Vintropolis a 4 is because I believe it is quite versital, I can meet with a variety of people from work and a weeknight date.

How can it be that I have never written a review for this place? I used to come here all the time way before I was on Unilocal. It’s actually one of the first Wine Bars I fell in love with, but then I started exploring and learning of other places and have neglected them. It has been a little while since I have been but I am glad to see that the reviews are still great & they are hanging in there strongly. One of the most helpful things that this place offers is a very detailed description of the wine, this was useful to me when I was in the early stages of learning about wine. I need to make a return visit very very soon !

Great spot to hang out with friends or unwind after work. Friendly staff, both indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate any mood. If your not a wine person. They ha e a selection of import beers.

Loved this place! Had an incredible wine selection(the whole place is a store so there are probably at least 60 different bottles in house that you can drink there or take home with you). The service was very friendly and helpful, especially with so many bottles to choose from, they proved themselves very knowledgable. Will definitely be coming back!

Wine was good and people were nice. $ 22(including $ 3 tip) for a flight is pricy IMO but I guess they are catering to business from local hotels.

I came here during Cinco de mayo and found this tucked away wine bar to be pretty spacious inside plus many tables outside for the nicer houston days. They were having buckets of mexican beers for $ 16, in addition to their usual HH specials, but I just stuck with the HH house wine($ 4 a glass). They didn’t tell me what type or winery it came from, so I guess it wasn’t anything special they wanted to brag about. The bar was surprisingly dead when I came, maybe it picked up later that evening. It has good lighting though, especially better in the evening time, so I will probably be back again sometime. They do have St. Arnolds root beer also, if you’re not in the mood for alcohol.

It was an A-Ok experience for us. We stopped in on our way to dinner at Bistro le Cep for a glass before our reservations. I was a bit disappointed in the number of available wines by the glass. But what they did offer was a good selection of varietals and regions. They didn’t have the prosecco listed on the menu and subbed a much lesser bottle at the same price. Not real cool… but the wife enjoyed the drink. The pours were decent. Not what I have experienced at other wine by the glass wine bars. But no one really likes the filled to the brim wine. If you are looking for a nice little wine bar for a couple glasses before an evening out and you don’t want anything substantial to eat… this could be your place. They have a short but varied list of wines by the glass and a lovely meat and cheese tray. That’s a food offering and I think I saw some brie and nuts come out on a cutting board too. Grab some empanadas at Marina’s across the parking lot and enjoy them with some vino — they rock! If you want to share a decently priced bottle with a couple friends in a pseudo winery room… this could be your place. Several big wood tables and a few seats at the bar. They do have a patio, too. Iron chairs and tables though. Can you say grill your thighs in the summer? I can’t really say it was a great wine bar… behind the bar was quite a mess and we were never really spoken to by the bartender after they poured our order. I certainly wouldn’t make it a destination for an afternoon or an after work meet up. Most of the wines I really wanted to try were not available by the glass. That’s my deal though and not the bar’s. I don’t recall music but they did have a couple TVs with sports on behind the bar.

We went on a weeknight and sat outside drinking wine on the patio. Reasonably priced wine by the glass, happy hour sale if you want to buy a whole bottle. The meat and cheese tray was just okay, very greasy. Besides meat & cheese, the menu was sparse. Good place for a quick drink, but not hanging all night.

They have a pretty good happy hour. They have $ 4 house wines as well as $ 8 off a bottle of wine on their list… Which comes out to be a little less than $ 20 for a bottle of wine. If you want a nice place to relax and grab a glass of wine after work, this is a great place to try. We stumbled upon it when driving down Westheimer and it’s great because there’s plenty of parking spaces and tons of other restaurants around the area. We went during an off time so there were plenty of tables available. It’s very quaint with some tables in the front area and a few more intimate tables in the back. The space is very open. The staff are courteous and great with your orders and knowledgable in their wines.

Small quiet cozy wine place. Casual place to enjoy a bottle of wine. Pretty good selection that’s reasonably priced. Not really good for large groups but sherlocks is right next door if you and your group want to get loud. They allow you to bring your own food inside!

Cute little wine bar next to Sherlocks… my group intended on going to Sherlocks but ended up coming here because they had a nice open patio and someone singing/playing guitar, much more low key than a bar. My friend and I ordered a bottle of wine, and the guys had beers(they actually have a big beer selection!) we also got a meat & cheese tray at one point. The meat and cheese tray was delicious, and a great compliment to just sitting on a patio on a cool night sipping on wine and beer. I remember initially ordering from inside at the counter, and then sitting down outside. The patio is really big and open, where we sat it was almost like we weren’t even part of the bar. There is a nice fountain in the middle too. I would definitely come back again if in this area. And am SO happy we chose to come here instead! At one point a random guy walked up with his puppy and ended up moving a chair over and chatting with us a little while. It was a very strange experience for various reasons, but does not affect my rating in anyway… I’m just saying…

I am a wine head or wino so I live to enjoy a great glass or two or a bottle of great wine… during happy hour the corkage fee is waived on the listed wines which is great because the fee is $ 8…happy hour is all day on Saturday… A great place to come and socialize with friends and save a few bucks on individual glasses of wine… for those non winos, they have a pretty decent beer list and if you are a little hungry the have meat and cheese trays and will refill the crackers and spicy mustard at no charge… I have purchased bottles to take home but my suggestion is to save your home purchases for specs as the bottles are overpriced

I live for a good glass of wine. The aroma, the taste, the way it makes me feel… all of that. And likewise, having a good place to sit, sip, and socialize is just as fulfilling, heightening the experience that much more– which is why me and Vintropolis get along so well! What’s special about this place? Nothing at all, really. Just the fact that it’s a good neighborhood wine bar in the Westchase area where you can come to wind it down and have a glass of wine or 2– maybe even 3 if that’s your steelo. I’ve come here a few times with a date and also during happy hour with my coworkers after work. The vibe is always the same, very laid back and casual. Definitely a good place to engage in great conversation. I’ve come super dressy while other times I’ve come a little more casual. Either way, you’re good. There is seating on the inside at the bar or at any of the tables. I personally like sitting at the bar so I can get the scoop on the best wines. They also have tables set up outside on the patio area as well. If you’re lucky enough to catch this Houston weather on a good, not so humid day/evening/night, definitely opt for the patio! The staff here is always super cool. I met the owner once and she seemed very down to earth. Trevor is definitely my favorite though. Every time I come he is always my «go-to» guy when I want to inquire about their wine selections– what’s new, what’s good, what’s hot, and what’s not. The Libra in me can be so indecisive at times, but I can always count on Trevor to get in sync with what my taste buds are yearning for. He always comes back with great suggestions, followed by a sample of each that is always so dead on. Once I make my choice and my wine is so graciously poured– Life. Is. Given. Instantly! I enjoy looking at their Top Ten Wine List that they keep at the bar, as they usually have a brand or two that ends up on my «personal favorites» list. I always pull out my phone and snap a picture of their latest list so whenever I’m shopping for new wines to try, I can pick up a couple bottles on there to add to my home stash. They have pretty decent happy hours with prices starting at about $ 6.00 a glass. Cheese plates are available to order, but that’s about it for food. One particular time that I came with my coworkers, they allowed us to order food from Thai Cottage which is in the same shopping center and even picked it up for us, so I’m sure that is always an option if you’re wanting food. They have a nice selection of beers as well, but who wants beer when you can get your life with a glass of wine? I can always appreciate a laid back atmosphere with a hint of sophistication which is why I’m a fan of Vintropolis. Good times + good wine, and every now and again a good«damn I’m feeling so right!» buzz keeps me coming back. Don’t judge me, just trust me. If you love wine, you’ll dig this place!

first time here was pretty empty the bartenders were quite helpful– they have a nice selection and the prices were right. I wish they had a bit more of a selection of foods but the San Antonio cheese plate was great for just me– their portions were very good too.

I went on Unilocal to find a wine bar for a first date. I heard that the establish had a lot of variety. It has a wide variety of red and white wines to chose from. My date and I decided on Moscato that was delicious. The atmosphere was very quaint. A great place to talk and relax. The staff greeted us at the door. They were helpful, friendly. I would come here again.

Really great wine and beer bar. They have decent wines by the glass, although I felt the prices were a tiny bit high. Their beer selection was great and much more reasonably priced. I loved how many local beer they had, including some I’d never heard of. We were the only ones in there at 2:30, but by 4:30 on a weekday, they were starting to fill up. The place is minimally decorated, with the wine racks as the most prominent feature. They have seating at the bar and at tables for more privacy. Also, Marini’s will deliver fresh empanadas for when you’ve had a bit too much to drink!
