This was my first visit and the food was great. They weren’t very crowded so we felt no pressure to select our protein and veggies. I liked that you can select a lot of veggies if you are wanting to watch calories. The only downside is that the wine list leaves a little to be desired.

Don’t eat here, you’ll regret it. The wait staff only cares about getting you in and out as fast as possible. We were hurried to our table, told how to fix our bowls, and asked for drink orders before we even had a chance to sit down, much less take off our coats. The self-prep line was mostly clean, but not well maintained. All of the meat looked suspicious: slimy, weirdly colored, just not fresh. Seafood was grey and packed with ice that stuck to it. Even the tofu chunks had ice sticking to it. The veggie side looked a little better, but the veggies were still not as fresh as they could have been. Water chestnuts and bamboo shoots were sitting in slimy water, mushrooms were dry, carrots and broccoli were limp. Nothing was labeled for allergens(gluten, soy, nuts, dairy, etc), and the staff was clueless as well. What’s in the General Tso’s sauce, or the Szechuan sauce? No one knows, probably because they just poured it out of a can. During and after the meal, the wait staff couldn’t care less. Every bowl was delivered with a THUMP as they dropped it on the table. They grabbed our glasses and took them away to the wait station for refills without asking if we wanted them. Needless to say, we’ll never be back. Go to Ghengis Grill instead.

This place is not good! Service was horrible! Didn’t look good when we walked in and lived up to the appearance. Not to mention expensive!

I was very nervous picking all my own ingredients to go into a stir fry but some how I managed to get it right. Perhaps you just can’t go wrong who knows. The restaurant is clean and spacious and the food is decent but I didn’t find it to be amazing. Drink options are also limited. Again you have to personally pick your own ingredients down to the spices so that may be my own doing. I do think for first time guests they should have some suggestions of different options that work well together to choose from. Would I return? Yes! I would try again to pick the perfect stir fry combo!

A bit pricey for the size of the bowl you get. But food is good. Mostly I order take out and Hence do not want to comment on th hospitality and service. Althought my small interactions tell me that it is basic.

The food is good! Watch your bill! After I left someone added an additional amount to the tip amount… I found out after I reviewed my credit card statement online. When I called to talk to the manager, the person who answered was rude and said the manger wasn’t there.

Um basic. It’s like the ones at the mall with the bill ol flat thing to cook it on. You pick all your toppings in a bowl with an array of meatspace sauces, and veggies and mix it with some carb choice. They cook it and bring it to you in a slanted bowl. The meat is pretty basic but I did like my mushrooms and spinach. I can taste the leftover salt and msg nom

It’s a different kind of experience here. When you come in they ask if it’s for here or to go and they’ll let you pick where you want to sit. They will then give you a card to fill out and you go get a try and pick out what you want. They have seafood, chicken, beef, I think I even saw tofu. Then you put any oils and spices you may like, next is veggies, and then you can add any nuts if you want. Go sit down and they’ll bring it to you! Was torn between giving 3 or 4 stars because the staff isn’t that friendly(there’s literally 1 girl who is genuine) and it can feel a little warm at times but you can load up your bowl with as much food as you want. Which is good if you have a teenage boy since they eat like a bottomless pit. Last but not least they have beer :)

Service is really bad. Everybody that works there has a attitude and don’t care how they treat people. I will not be going back

It’s not fancy. Sometimes it’s too warm in there, and usually the service is questionable. But the food is fresh, you get to pick what you like, the spices are delicious, and the boyfriend and I always have some leftover for another meal. He’s a bodybuilder with a big appetite and can eat plenty so the people here complaining about ‘not enough food’…I don’t want to think what they must look like. It’s easy to eat healthy here. BTW the eggs don’t have to fit in the bowl – they can go on the side!

They have a good selection of ingredients you can put in your bowl but the bowl you get is way too small. By the time I got to the vegetable selections my bowl is already filled up and it was hard to add in more because they kept falling off the bowl. I personally think this place is pricey and I would rather spent my money on a better place. I’ve been here couple of times before but recently the service is horrible. By the time they handed my bill to me I paid in cash. I had to use big cash because I did not have small cash that would be around the total. For example, the total came around to be $ 24 total but I used $ 50 bill. I expected that I would have change back because every restaurant I’ve been too would give change back but this place didn’t. They handed the fortune cookie and said have a good evening. I guess they thought it was tip. I was furious because it was a lot of change back and the service was terrible on top of that. I was going to ask for my change back but I was angry to deal with the workers. I came back hoping I’ll have a better experience. On Sunday evening my boyfriend and I came for our date. The service was still bad. They were rude and disrespectful. My boyfriend kindly offer to pay the bill and he decided to pay exact. However, the lady who took our bill was rude to my boyfriend about why didn’t he tip. We were going to leave the tip on the table before we left but since the lady did that we were deciding if we should tip or not. In the end we tip $ 5 and left. We won’t be returning.

The name should be Tacky Mongolian Grill. I have never felt so unwelcomed in my life. I know we were coming in 45 min before closing. But the staff was pulling the utinsiles out of the food as I was filling the itty-bitty bowls they had already turned off the big grill. So we were not allowed the enjoyment of watching the food get cooked. Wait a minute, now isn’t that what this restaurant is all about? After we received our food they started to mop the floor. By now it’s 20 minutes to closing. My guess is that our bowl were clean before we walked thru the door. I felt that the service there was not only tacky but very rude. Dot guess we will be coming back.

Good fresh fixins that you select. I like more meat and spice than most and this place fills the bill. A little pricey but I come repeatedly and really recommend it if you want the food your way.

My family and I stopped in to try this place as we had seen it numerous times shopping at HEB. Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed. First off, the pricing as was explained to us was per bowl with dinner prices being $ 11.99/bowl. For the size of bowl they give you, this was a higher cost than I thought was, reasonable. Second, due to the size 9f the bowl, my wife couldn’t fit many veggies in her bowl, so she added more to a napkin on her tray. They brought her tray back and said they couldn’t cook the additional veggies as they were not in the bowl. No amount of explanation on her only wanting 9 ny veggies and not being able to fit many in her bowl worked with management so we returned her order. Needless to say, we will not return for a second visit.

1st time! My friend & I arrived right when the ‘Open’ sign came on. So, we pretty much got everything fresh. Take advantage — fill’er up! I chose the udon noodles & packed it with seafood:(big) shrimp, mussels, imitation crabs & fish. Don’t forget your egg! They have a big variety of spices & sauces which I LOVED. I seasoned the seafood with garlic salt/powder & added mongolian sauce with chili oil & a bit of olive oil. I topped everything off with veggies — cabbage, snow peas, potatoes, bamboo, & broccoli. The bowl was already so full but I tucked it on the sides too. Hehe like I said, take advantage! Everything came out to be really deliciousss & spicy :) One thing that bothered me were the bowls. It’s tilted. It was difficult to eat because I was afraid it was going to all spill out.

Those Mongolians sure are wacky! This is pretty much like the more well known brand of chain of stir fry restaurant, it’s the same concept just minus the franchising name. Basically you pay a base price for one bowl of stir fry, there’s the lunch price and the dinner price. As soon as you sit down, the waiter will give you a card to write your name, your table number, and what starch you want(rice, noodle, etc.) on it along with your metal bowl to put the ingredients you want to stir fry with. All of the meats are labeled and you can just stack as much meat as you want. Then the next station is the sauce and condiment station, you can put all sorts of pepper, dressing, etc. After that is your vegetable station. Oh, if you want an egg, just grab the egg and put it next to the bowl, they will crack it and stir fry it for you. Once you have your proteins and such loaded, you just hand your tray with your card and when they are done cooking your food on that giant circle of a cooking top, the waiter will bring everything that’s cooked in the awkward looking bowl. To get the best bang for your buck, obviously you want to load up as much meat as possible. Since after they stir fry it the meat, it will become much smaller when it was in the metal bowl. You can also layer your bowl by getting the meat, then get some vegetables, then go back to the front and get more meat again. The food was all right as they did cook everything thoroughly. But since I stacked so much meat up together with the un-even distribution of the spicy pepper powder, it wasn’t very tasty. The service was all right as the waiter did come and re-fill our water. As for the check-out, since we came here for lunch, we see that some people could get the waiter to get the check and pay at the table or you just go up to the front door and pay at the front. Again, this is basically a carbon copy of the well known Genghis chain, it’s still a good place for a fast stir fry food if you are in a hurry.

The service wasn’t to good our waiter never came back to our table so we had to flag down another waiter to refill our drinks but the food was good just like Genghis grill… Don’t think I’ll be going back.

This is a close replica of Genghis Grill. Even the sauce cups, and bowls are the sames. The only difference that I saw were a few different meat choices, and a few different sauces. The area where you make your selections was a mess. Many selections were mixed with others where people had dropped items from the back into items in the front. Service was friendly and the waiter checked on us many times.
