I Would NOT recommend this place
I had my do groomed, I was very specific about what I wanted. I picked up my dog and the top of his head was completely shaved. When I spoke to the owner Kelly about my concern she stated it was my dogs fault! She told me the reason he was shaved so close was because he moved during the grooming. No apologies and no compensation. I have heard from others that her response to their concerns was very similar. There are countless other groomers in Houston that are polite and do a great job. Well Groomed is not one of them.

Well Groomed does a great job grooming my dog every week! I trust them whole heartedly!

Kelly, and the folks at Well-​Groomed are very respectful and enthusiastic about dogs. Every time they have watched our dogs I go to work with no worries in the world that they are going to be taken care of like kings. As far grooming goes, they have done nothing but a far superior job compared to other places I have brought my dogs. You tell Kelly what you want and she will make it happen! Highly recommend this place!

Very professional staff! You can’t do better than Well Groomed… The doggies love this place, and that is saying a lot.

I have three standard poodles that have been consistently going to Well Groomed for the past 5 years. Their grooming is exceptional, show ready quality. I always get compliments and people always stop me to ask where I get my dogs groomed. The last time we took our dogs to be groomed Baldoin, a 65 lb standard poodle, jumped into the arms of the receptionist. They love going there! Believe it or not my dogs have really good dog friends there. I would recommend Well Groomed to anybody with any breed of dog. The owner and staff are very experienced in grooming and care of animals. They love going there when we leave town. They all get to stay together just like at home. Plus, we get to watch them on their camera.

If there is such a thing as poodle heaven, this is it! Poodles and poodle mixes abound here! I have a miniature poodle and love coming to Well Groomed to be greeted by all the fur babies. I love that Kelli and staff let the non-​aggressive dogs greet customers, I feel like it encourages an atmosphere of socialization and comfort. I have been coming to Well Groomed for grooming and like that my little guy can also do daycare so he is not in a kennel waiting his turn like so many other grooming salons.
Kelli is super informative and always takes the time to answer any grooming and/​or general poodle questions I have. My mini poodle is my first poodle and part of the reason I choose to keep going back is the amount of experience, knowledge and care that Kelli has for the breed.
There are many comments here based on cost and I did call around to other groomers and I feel like Kelli and staff provide a competitive price but again, the major bonus here is that you can do daycare and there are not many others that offer that service as well.

BEWARE!!! Duped, dishonest, unethical, unprofessional, uncaring… charged for daycare when dogs are left for HOURS in crates and some staff that are inexperienced and poorly trained, the owner Kelli is dishonest, dogs are accepted into daycare without proof of vaccinations and large and small breeds pooled together and unneutered males accepted as well. My dog contracted a terrible virus which Kelli the owner took no responsibility for and I have heard of other countless tales of unethical money grubbing practice with excuse after excuse and NO accountability —

Recently relocated into Houston. Needed a good groomer, and there they were. Walking distance from where I live. They handle my precious pooches like family and they look as handsome as ever.

I used to love this place. We were frequent customers at the Kipling location before it was relocated. Sure the staff had its mood swings… You never knew if they were going to seem bothered by you or, during a blue moon, happy to see you– but my dog enjoyed play time and it was convenient. Now that they have moved it has really gone downhill. I get charged a different (much higher) price every time I take him for a bath. They play it off as a mistake when I mention it. I have to check his ears when he comes home because there have been many occasions when cotton was left in. The first time it happened it caused a vet visit because they had been left in for over a week and we had no idea! The owner must be difficult to work for because the staff is always changing and now that the staff from the Kipling location has been consolidated into the original location they look truly miserable. (A good portion of the Kipling staff has since been terminated).
I also don’t like that I can’t see my dog like I could from the window at the Kipling location. I lived nearby and was able to check in on him. Lately he has been coming home with scratches or something on his face. Not sure what’s going on with that. Surely they watch the dogs and make sure they don’t play too rough.
I’m currently looking for a new doggy daycare. I’m tired of the staff’s rudeness and mood swings. I don’t like that my dog isn’t getting the attention that he should be getting and I don’t like that I don’t know where he is during the day. I have a sneaking suspicion that he’s outside for a good chunk of the day since he comes out of the back all red in the face when I pick him up.
Looking at the majority of the reviews it is clear that this is definitely not the place you would want to leave your precious baby. The one star ratings all seem to have a reoccurring trend. Rudeness. If I could lower my rating even further I would! One star is far too high of a rating for this sorry excuse of a doggy daycare.
The owner doesn’t remotely care for her twice weekly clients as in her response to this review she «encourages» that I find another boarding facility… Funny since she has since banned my pup from her facility. Not to worry, I will gladly give my $ 500+ a month to a boarding facility that appreciates their customers and truly cares for my fur baby.

worst ever, very rude and unprofessional ! this salon allows loose dogs in the lobby and the staff refuse to put up the loose dogs during drop off and pick up despite requests. it is weird that it’s necessary to have dogs 2−3x the size of my pet to run up and sniff all over, intimidating my dogs. skip this place, they are rude, all the way from the receptionist to the groomers ! a don’t care attitude, skip this dump.

We have been taking our Cavalier here for everything from grooming to daycare to overnight boarding for a couple of years now and are extremely happy with each and every experience. Everyone there is very attentive and exceptionally helpful. We couldn’t begin to think of taking him anywhere else.

My two little poodles love it there, and I can see them in my IPad where ever I am. literally they start waging their tale when I get in the parking lot

I think the problem at this place is the receptionist at the front desk. Every single time i’ve been to this shop, the guy has headphones on and listening to music while I’m giving grooming instructions. He is not friendly and seems to be «bothered» by customers. Kelly, the owner, is an awesome groomer (as I’ve been told). Her work on my dog has been mediocre at best. I blame the problems on the guy at the front desk.

I have been bringing my dog Jake here for the past six months and it has been a great experience so far !! The staff really showed their love for all the animals their, the groomers are amazing every dog I have seen from St. poodles to little yorkies have came out looking amazing! It is a every clean environment as soon as you walk inside every time I pick up baby Jake from daycare he is always excited and well taken care of !
If you love your babies I strongly recommend this location, you wont regret it, I haven’t!

Biggest rip-​off in pet care in Houston. Run by the same people as the Kipling location. Problems galore.
Lack of Attention — Dropped my dog off the Friday of labor day weekend. When walking back out to the car my girlfriend squealed, «How did you get out?» I walked around to her side of the car and spotted a very small guest dog who had apparently gotten out of their bathroom area unattended. My girlfriend picked up the dog and was walking him back in when the gentleman attendant came outside, «I got him, I got him» he said. I’d hate to think what might have happened if my girlfriend hadn’t spotted this dog on the loose.
False Advertising — what they advertise as a «standard suite» on their website is simply a crate. With full knowledge of my dog’s height and weight, they let me reserve a «standard suite» for the labor day weekend. AFTER I had dropped my dog off they called me on my cell phone to suggest I upgrade to an «internet suite» for 20 dollars more per night because my dog could not fit in their crate. Did I really have a choice at that point?
Lack of Good Faith — Rushed back from Dallas to pickup the dog on Sunday so I wouldn’t have to pay them for an extra night stay. They charged me for Sunday night anyway and stated that was simply their policy to charge a full night for Sunday even if the dog is picked up — I could have picked the dog up on Monday morning for the same price. Manager or employee lied and stated the attendant explained this policy to me on Friday. Well why would I be complaining if this policy was explained to me upfront? Tell me why I would rush back home on Sunday to get the dog in this case?
Poor Oversight — Walked in through the front door on Sunday for pickup around 4pm and had to walk around looking for an employee. Every dog in the place was barking like a mad dog. After walking around a bit and not spotting anyone I sat up front for about 20 minutes before an employee appeared from somewhere in the back. Employee apologized and stated they had been «jamming out to their music in the back.» Is this what they call attention to the animals?
Had my dog for 48 hours and ran my card for 180 dollars without getting approval first. Then refused to refund any charges but offered a «free day of daycare» to make-​up for things. No thanks, don’t think I’ll be seeing you guys again.
